Nice box of cool rocks , lots of pet wood and agatized wood , that carnelian agate looks really nice , you got some stuff to play with for a while , thanks for showing us

I guess that could be why there are tons of junk rocks around here. It also didn't help working at a hold mine for 12 years. .lol. lots of rocks there but could not keep any of those.

Some of that looks like flint...and yes, that was obsidian.
I’ve found 99% of my rocks and I’ve gotten them all from Michigan.. all except my space rocks I’ve purchased lol

Life is like a box of mystery rocks.....
The fun is figuring out just what you got.
Well that looked like a really nice mystery box of rocks! The little baggies are rubies and sapphires, and that one piece that you said looked like chert was agatized and opalized pet wood. And some may very well be jasperized pet woods well. But just looking at your box it was really chock full of beautiful rocks! That druzy our e was haunted ridge druzy, and you were spot on with you obsidian! I don't know if you ordered the rubies and sapphires but I've never seen him include them in a box of rough rock like his mystery box is. But they are wonderful and the rubies glow under UV! So have fun with that and that may help you to identify many of your rocks too. Much of the pet wood glows a bit under 365nm UV light and the jasper does not. Besides, it's always fun to take the UV to rocks anyways, and see if any of them glow! Great box and enjoy them, and they should keep you busy for quite some time! Thanks MrCH! I didn't know World of Rockhounds Did Mystery Boxes- Very interesting. Hmmmm and here we are Purchasing from other sources, anyway at least we get to see what we purchased. BUT A MYSTERY BOX- WOULD BE LIKE OPENING A BIRTHDAY GIFT AND OR CHRISTMAS PACKAGE - OH THE EXCITMENT!!! Just reminiscing- hehehehe. Like being a kid all over again. BET you having fun opening your GIFT BOX.

I got 4 boxes from kyle, one mystery, one pet wood, one obsidian, and one scrambled eggs as he called it and all 4 of them were beat to heck and back and a couple had holes and were tore up. Every other box I have ever gotten from him has been pristine. Those 4 were horrible. Idk what it is about those mystery boxes but the postal workers took out some rage on them or something. I’m in Kentucky so it’s not just a Michigan thing. Lol
