  • Today is the first in a short series of rock hunts/rock salvage operations.
If the sheer volume of rocks does not do it for you, then hopefully the beauty of them will. #panasonic #lumixfz300 #rock #rocks #hauntedridge

GTSY BRUDDER the lighting is excellent , that big rock had many haunting faces in it , yes I see faces and writing in rocks , love those racing stripes on those rock-n-rollers, mud stone ? That Green Mama leash I love rocks that get lighting effects , that little one has a a great big smile and is happy that you are holding her. 🤗

Those big crystal rocks are gorgeous.
The one with the white stripe is called a wishing stone.

The last one is definitely a geode. The first two are pieces of geodes. I’m certain. Have plenty just like them found in Kentucky.

Maybe the last one is a volcanic quartzy bubble, that was inside another rock.
I recently found some volcanic stones, with bubbles of quartz in them.

Those do have a geode look to them and the striped broken one had a shine and sparkle at the broken end that reminds me of the hematite I find in Iron Mountain. Hope someone can help ID them for you and how fun to find stuff like that in your own yard !

The first two & last one resemble geodized crinoid calyx fossils.

The big quartz nodule looked like it may have been broken geode. Quartz can be found everywhere Im guessing local. The blackish grey one with the white stripe looks like andesite and quartz. Siltstone, mudstone and sandstone are similar and without knowing the size of the particles it's hard to say exactly which one. Looks like hematite maybe in one of them. Last one you brought out looked like a geode. Sorry, I just realized you had some new content. Don't be afraid to remind me 🙂 Have a great day, MCH

Well, that last one is definitely a geode. It could be a geodized fossils, but that , i dint know. And the first two you showed are pieces of a geode as well. You can see the have the same type of texture on the outside as the little one. Where they came from, i have no clue. As for you nudsrine, im clueless. Oh and the third one you showed looks like a piece of quartz or quartzite. And yes, that could have come from Michigan, but then again, it could have xome from anywhere, its a common type of rock. Sorry i couldnt be of more help!
