    I had Legionnaires disease, and it was terrible. I went to six different doctors, being misdiagnosed every single time. I did not believe the doctors misdiagnosis, thank goodness, and the seventh doctor told me, I had Legionnaires disease, and asked me if I would like the correct antibiotic, before the blood tests came through. He said he was almost sure, as he had had Legionnaires himself, and this is how he knew. As soon as I started taking the antibiotic, within two days, I started improving. The results came through and were positive. To this day, I have no idea where I contracted it. I had mycoplasma as well. This is quite a frightening disease, but I was lucky, but I was on antibiotics for a long time.

      Fred Rayner I do not have an air conditioner, nor have I ever had one. I am still at a loss as to where I contracted Legionnaires. I clean my drains regularly too, and pour bleach into the drains and then flush them thoroughly. Thank you for the heads up though. I was aware that you can contract Legionnaires through air conditioning units. Perhaps, I contracted it at one of the shopping malls, or even from an air conditioner at work. Who knows?

      @ @@dellt3122-- Wonderful! Clearly the God who created the laws of physics and the Universe is still working on the gift of free will; especially but not solely for the good intent demonstrated in these stories, when a large number of people concentrated their God given energies on making their friend well again. Now IF ONLY more People would understand how the Universe of matter we call solid works (I realize the reality of reality is an issue that is very difficult to comprehend but , my wish is that more of us do come to understand it. It does seem (thank God!) that more of the Human Family is beginning to wake up to the reality of what reality is in all its manifestations because I believe that there are more decent Human Beings on Planet Earth so it should not be impossible to overcome with our combined energy , those few who prefer to create evil outcomes in order to control us all. There is a book titled "Everything you Need to Know...but Were Never Told" by David Icke that I purchased only yesterday because I was hearing so much about it. I have been a prolific reader of physics books most of my life. I never understood what drove me to read such books. At first I could not understand a word written. But gradually, after gaining the perspective of many Physicists who were trying to tell us how the Universe works really, more of the words coalesced into meaning I could wrap my head around. Well, this book by David Icke managed to help me to put some of the stray dots together. I had still had not figured out where to put some of them. There are still a lot more to connect and I look forward to the challenge. I have not experienced many boring moments but this book insures that I will experience even fewer of them. It is not the end, as David Icke says himself, in the book, but a beginning. There seems to be no way that God's intellectual brilliance can be replicated in any of us Humans and for this we must forever be humbly grateful. It keeps us striving to reach for a better understanding of the reality that exists on Planet Earth at this time that is no time and place that is no place other than part of God's Universe with its endlessly fair laws of physics; which are immutable, by the way. And they are God. Thank you for sharing the story of your friend.

I was around 5-6 years old at the time. There were a few people in that same winter in our city that had pneumonia, and it legit SCARED people. THANKFULLY none of them tested positive for it, but still it scared a LOT of us. My father was so concerned that he even kept me home from school even though children don't normally get this disease as he said himself I was his only child and he was not going to take any chances. He'd rather get arrested for my not being at school than put my health at risk. we found out later that many parents had done the same thing because they were unwilling to put their kids at risk.

I had to crawl to go to the bathroom and had to drag myself over the tub edge and go in the tub laying down, because I could not stand up to get onto the toilet. I had to sleep on the couch so I could just roll off of it and crawl to the restroom. When your lungs are attacked it is surprising what all is affected. That was really scary. I don't get sick very often and that was bad.

So proud of the efforts to work together to keep us strong. Very oddly, our neighbor offered to help us if we needed money. I always wondered about produce misters... On one hand, cold water does help maintain the freshness of vegetables - (to an extent) but on the other, moisture contributes to mold. I bought some fresh blueberries the other day, they looked and smelled fine - no discoloration or white fuzz... I put them in my cereal and only took a bite but there was a foul, musty taste... I was sick for 2 days, but fortunately, got over it. Things like this just goes to show that even in today's world, with advanced medicine and hygiene, there are still outbreaks of infectious diseases and we must be vigilant.

This is not one of those epidemics you say, make sure you wash yer hands and you’ll be ok like they say with the flu !!

    • @yottaforce
      @yottaforce 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All you need to do with the hot tub is put run it with some disinfectants. Sometimes you can have legionella in the hot water when the temperature is too low. All you do is raise the temperature to what it should have been and let it run for a while.
      Penicillin does not work on legionella, but other types of antibiotics do. In severe cases the patient is connected to an external lung machine.
      Washing your hands won't make a difference. Legionella infects through aerosols inhaled. It loves still, hot water. A typical place for infection is in your shower. This only happens if the system temperature is too low.

      @@rumplestilskinsmum5094 According to Danish building code the temperature in the boiler should be minimum 55°C and at the tap 50°C to keep legionelle in check.
      Edit: Naturally that would be way too hot for the hot tub. There you need to rely on regular disinfection and maintenance.

    The video shows medical personnel handling patients without wearing gloves or mask. Universal precautions are always needed when an unidentified but potentially contagious illness is present. The patients were coughing all over everything, and workers were up close and personal with no mask in sight, and often no gloves either.

      Or, personnel getting samples from suspected sources of the legionella bacteria without masks, protective clothing (water or mist can splash) and often without gloves.

      Not wearing gloves all the time was quite normal back then. When I worked in a nursing home back in the late 70’s and early 80’s, we never wore gloves then unless a resident had a contagious infection.

      this video was probably just a reenactment of what actually happened. That might be why there were not many gloves or masks present.

    Is this real footage? If not the production team did an excellent job recreating it. Very realistic even the hospital staff and treatment are right on!! 👏

      My guess is they probably received permission from real doctors and patients in the hospital undergoing treatment for the same or similar sicknesses. Nothing beats the real thing where realistic reenactment is concerned.

      Interesting - although , there’s a case of it in Washington state . What makes me angry is that the flights coming from China are being rerouted to major international airports ! Two of which are in California : San Francisco , and Lax.! What the hell ? Why would they do that ?! Here’s the article

      Gr82bspoiled Wall Street journalisms full of it. They are sending them all to Ontario California airport. Which they supposedly will go to Alaska first. They also are us citizens coming home. They supposedly will be kept in a special containment ent area being quarantined until cleared. I live 20 minutes from Ontario airport. This also is a man made virus 🦠. CDC lies and so does W.H.O. they down played it then and now about all of it.

    Bit slow on the uptake. After the third or fourth patient comes in with very similar, life threatening condition, possibly all linked to a common denominator, questions should have been asked. It should not take days and then the appearance of a national centre for disease control to tell them they need to find the common denominator. Testing will find the actually causative substance, but then it needs to be traced to the source. Asking these patients questions right from the get go could have reduced the time this source was located by days or even weeks by narrowing down the places to look. smh

    • @michellebliss7124
      @michellebliss7124 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well sometimes the patient may not have all the symptoms as the other patient. The main questions asked usually are have you traveled outside the U.S. its not as easy as you think to figure out where all these people were at to come in contact with what ever is wrong.
