The Crown Victoria is the car equivalent of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.". This body style lasted until its demise in 2011 with minimal changes. Absolutely legendary car.

I've had 3 Vics. I currently have an Aston Martin, Mustang GT and a new Expedition. I will defend the Crown Victoria to the end. It truly is the best car ever made.
I currently have 1 Vic and a Mustang GT. Love them both but the Vic truly has a special charm and legacy. I also intend to buy an Aston Martin one day when car prices come down. What a funny coincidence.

I just bought a '99 LX from the original owner. It's super clean, comfortable, smooth, quiet, and powerful. I love it!!!
I have a 98 Crown Vic LX fully loaded. Although my next car is going to be a Chevy pickup, i thought about selling my Crown Vic but since its paid for, never left me stranded, and yet has never been broken into, i’m keeping it. Possibly for another 10 years.

I’ve. Had a 2000 grandMarquis. A 2006 crown Vic and a 2010 town car and I can honestly say the panther platform is the best!

Not really. The Caprice/Impala SS was a better car. In 2022 we don’t want one of these, we want a sedan with performance, not squishy characteristics
@@fredaydaybae8450 Lots of people, myself included, love older floaty sedans. Im not gonna claim to have a super popular opinion in that regard, but there are those of us who enjoy non performance orientated driving experiences too.

1999 Ford Crown Victoria LX
Heck, even if I've never driven one before, this will still be a legendary piece of technology. I also like the design, has an average look [Not happy, sad, grinny, etc.] to people who hare Pareidolia (I have Pareidolia with vehicles, so yeah).
Why didn't Ford increase the horsepower of the Panther in 1998? Why did it stay on the same 4.6 V8 engine? Which only produces 230 horsepower and a slow 4-speed automatic transmission. Why didn't Ford make drastic changes to the engine and raise its power to 330 horsepower with a 6-speed transmission, as it did with the Expedition and Mustang? You will tell me that it is a classic car that is not designed for speed, but I want to say that the Lexus LS400 in 1998 had a power of 290 horsepower, a 5-speed transmission, and acceleration of 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds, and the Mercedes E500 with a power of 326 horsepower, and it did from 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of more than 270 km / h and many others. From the powerful V8 cars like BMW and Audi, which exceeded 300 horsepower at the time, all these cars got major upgrades. Except for the Ford Crown Victoria, it did not get updates to the engine, shape and speed transmission, even though it is the largest sedan at Ford ????

Ford back then: We make simple, fair priced, reliable, V8 stuff for hard working people.
Ford now: We electrified the ‘Mustang’, put twin turbo, GDI, VVT 4 and 6 cylinder stuff in vehicles far too big for them, and transmissions that fall apart, that are outrageously expensive and falls right apart, only for upper middle class and rich people who don’t work hard.
That's a tendency on everything, even worse, they're using the excuse that "it's for the environment" to sell trash products

I currently have a 2011 cvpi that I absolutely love Nobody messes with me in that car everyone gets out of the way in the left lane and I've beat the snot out of it and it just keeps running.
I went 136 mph a few nights ago racing an Audi on the highway I'm pretty sure it's running on 7 cylinders now because of a misfire (coolent pooled on coil packs because of intake manifold crack a few months ago so thats probably why) and all four brakes sounded like a semi truck when I stopped on my way home but it just keeps running.
Update 1/3/22 my fucking gas tank fell out of my car because the strap's rusted off......

We get it already, your butt hurt because you can't understand why Ford had the NERVE to leave well enough alone. You can''t FATHOM why they might just leave a reliable, versatile, easy to sell platform alone. Yourmissing the point. This car was well sold as a fleet service vehicle, or a family daily driver. They didn't NEED to have 300HP and a six speed, that's not the market this car was selling to. The Mercury Marauder is a good example of this...google it. I don't know how to make it any clearer for you. And BTW, I've got an M3 AND a Crown Vic.I never jump in the Vic and wonder WHY OH WHY it's not as fast and sporty as my BMW, Nor do I drive my BMW and bitch about the the small trunk. That incident happened due to a tire that missplaced in the trunk.
And rear end collisions of 60+ mph mostly seen during police use with improperly placed equipment in the trunk.
