Hi Jimmy, Great Vid like always! I learned a lot and here is my story with happy ending :)? Suzuki swift w/ Fiat multijet 1.3 diesel 75HP w/ DPF. like here it went DPF to crazy almost infinite regeneration. No error code at all. Pressure etc all was good. Sensors tested all good. Then started with an EGR malfunction code. I cleaned it but it was clean incl Intake manifold etc. it was sticking close solenoid:) Once I freed it up started the almost infinite regen of the DPF. I saw some excessive engine oil on the EGR pipe and it became clear that turbo pushing the engine oil into the exhaust ergo DPF. I replaced the turbo and cleaned the dpf with MOTIP foam in place as it was not possible to remove it on my parking lot... All went good after turbo replacement regeneration on the HW went fine I monitored the DPF related parameters on the way and was happy. Few 100km later started a nightmare run the turbo lost its power. Started to stall short right after engine start 5-10 sec. I got error codes for waste-gate solenoid error DPF implausible values and efficiency ... P1901/P0243/P2003... So I checked the vacuum system and found some 15years old rubber pipe got leakage and caused the issues.. Once I replaced it due to excessive pressure at idle I have already 300mbar!!!!! Exhaust pipe got leaks and the DPF collapsed finally needed to be replaced. So All was due to an excessive oil contamination and 190 000km drive with a silly dpf. My another swift without DPF has almost double mileage and I never had to touch anything nor egr neither Turbo etc... Never again car with DPF in my life...:)

Great vid Jimmy. Lots of garages seem to default to forced regents for any dpf codes 💁🏼‍♂️. I've got to say, I've learned a thing two since watching your channel, cheers and keep it up.

Good old mitsi. They all have those codes if the vehicle is not equipped with something but it looks for it anyway then can't find it and times out and gives a fault code.

Like you have said in the past. soot in the end of the exhaust. its a new DPF needed

I had this on an l200 a while back, i ended up doing a manual search instead of auto vin and selecting manual and the code wasnt there. I can only assume its the tool probing for a module that doesnt exist and then flagging the fault?
Also when you did the injector reset it showed gear selection as if it was auto amd had the AT temp sensor at -40°C (obviously because its not fitted)
The dpf pressure live data always seems to read low on them too (dropping into minus figures) and read normal with a manometer as you showed. Strange vehicles the l200 😂
Shame about the dpf though, likely killed it with the forced regens 👎

Small injector relearn needs to be done once a year or every 20k, also these are known for boost hoses splitting and egt sensors failing/glitching, which usually does not set any relevant dtcs.

Either due to the repeated forced regens or the dpf just having enough of life, the dpf is buggered now ( cracked )

My triton 2019 and 2023 the def pressure sensor reads the same flicks into the neg it seems normal to me but I did have trouble with the injectors which Mitsubishi said caused the exhaust to go sooty as for the code your checking once again it’s a mitsy

Hello Jimmy. What are the causes of an engine creating too much soot, please?
Mine completely blocked (limp mode and dpf full error) after 300 miles of motorway driving, directly after the dealership done a forced regen (prior i was getting 'drive to clean' messages every 60 miles). They've since had it twice, 5 weeks at a time and have told me there is no fault!!
Prior to this i have had extreme rising oil levels.
Dealership already replced injectors, dpf and entire engine.

out of interest if the differential pressure is low ,what is triggering constant regens ? mine is similar but is only triggered by calculated soot every 350 miles ish when it gets to a calculated 21 grams this seems to override measured soot as that's very low , maybe the same incomplete regens with correct temp not reached ?

The AT temperature sensor was a -40 maybe that is the problem with the fault code

Manual transmission, so that's probably just a default number.

Do loads of these and every one has that fault code when it has manual transmission , literally shouting at the video IGNORE 😂

its a hole in the dpf, done by the owner, without map update
