GW2 Power Quickness Scrapper PvE DPS Rotation Guide

    EXTRA INFORMATION
    - After the opener you can delay Function Gyro to revive allies, you build up Quickness quite quickly if you use both Blast Gyro and Detonate Turret.
    - Aim-Assisted Rocket (AAR) will proc Orbital Strike after 4 missile hits. Orbital Strike is a Blast Finisher that can give you free extra quickness if there is a Combo Field up. Mortar attacks and Whirl Finishers count as Missiles.
    - When running Blast Gyro you can use Bypass Coating to Stunbreak your subgroup / to give them superspeed / to upkeep your damage modifier Object in Motion.
    - Healing Turret detonates at the player. In other words, you can place your Healing Turret in Narnia and use the Blast Finisher from the detonation whenever you need it. The Turret will despawn after 5 minutes.
    - If you need to provide more Might, there are 2 options. Either you take Pin Point Distribution (if someone else in your subgroup provides Fury) or you use Rifle instead of Hammer. Using Rifle changes the Rotation a bit, but the Rifle 2 / Grenade 2 Damage Combo still holds. On Rifle 5 you have a Leap Finisher. Since Rifle AAs count as Missiles, you will end up proccing Orbital Strike more often.
    - If you need more Stability than Defense Field provides (from Bulwark Gyro Toolbelt) you can swap Gyroscopic Acceleration to Mass Momentum. You trade in Superspeed for Stability.
    - Combo Fields have a limit. The first 5 entities that interact with the Combo Field "claim" it and then have limitless access. It could happen that you place a Combo Field and 5 of your allies use Finishers before you, which results in your Finishers not counting, and not giving quickness.

    Blast Gyro got buffed (en-forum.guildwars2.com/topic/134006-game-update-notes-july-18-2023/) which reduces the cooldown from 25s to 20s. You can still use the rotation from the video but I will likely update it soon.

    when do u actually use the button of kit to get out and use hammer and when do u use ; or whatever u have the keybind? is waiting for cd of the kit just enough to cast like one poison mortar or shrapnel grenade?

    i dont know about the new patch but as of 7/1/2024 it still work
    altho i still dont know where that alacrity came from or how to maintain it

    Thanks for the video !
    Why do you start your quickness rotation with a gyro ? It's not better to put a combo field beforehand like mortar or hammer 5 ?

      For the "full" rotation I would look at 03:29, the Quickness Rotation at 01:07 is meant to show how to give quickness. At the full rotation, I open with Hammer 5 to make sure I'm in combat before applying quickness, then I want to cast Function Gyro and Blast Gyro as soon as possible to instantly give quickness and ramp up might. Also note that both Gyros are Combo Fields AND Finishers themselves, so no need to provide a field before using Gyros. Not sure if that answers your question, if not let me know!

    Hey might be a noob question but in the end showcase when you fight the razorwing, where do you get the protection, alacrity and vigor from? I watched it at least 20 times but can't figure it out, and I'm not seeing anything in the build that would give that.

      Aah those are the new Jade Tech Overcharge Buffs you can stack up in End of Dragons:

      Here is a useful video how to quickly stack it up to two hours, it's insanely strong so definitely recommend using them (th-cam.com/video/s2n7gKnzav8/w-d-xo.html)

    Is is possible to get quickness anymore on scrapper? I think Kinetic Accelerators got quickness removed

    Advantages/disadvantages of blast gyro vs shredder?

      - Shredder Gyro adds around 1k damage (through Shredder itself and proccing AAR more often) and offers more CC on toolbelt, but it makes the rotation a bit different.
      - Blast Gyro gives you quick might ramp-up at the start of the fight, a group stunbreak and superspeed on toolbelt, an extra Blast to more easily upkeep quickness, and an easier rotation since Blast and Function Gyro share the same cooldown.

      Nah i would change to 1-2 diviner items+chronomaner sigil+Soul pastry so you dont have to tryhard to give Q

      @@enryd... On 4.000.000 Golem with 10 Conditions I end up with 31k with this set-up WITH food, and around 29k WITHOUT food (I didn't grind these out, so you can likely squeeze in a tiny bit more)

      @@sniffagaming thank you. Also. I'm no expert so can you confirm that casting mine field > nade barrage > detonate mine field makes it smoother instead of spamming mine field to plant and detonate?

      @@enryd... Grenade Barrage doesn't line up with Mine Field, but you can use any filler skill while detonating Mine Field, doesn't really matter which one.

    First - nice vid, and I appreciate you. But I have to say, I hate these changes and this rotation so much. They absolutely ruined a great build. Before this patch, you could get clutch rez's when someone went down and it felt GREAT. You used to be able to use Hammer 3 for clutch evades or emergency movement -when you needed it- and it felt GREAT. This patch takes skills that had purpose and skill expression and were tools available that you could use when you needed them, and makes them required in your rotation just to keep quickness. That's a terrible trade. Hammer 3 when you don't need it either launches you into god-knows-what or animation locks you in place for what feels like a week. These are boneheaded, brain-dead, awful choices for the devs to make, and all I want for this game is a new Balance Team that understands WHY these, and the rest of this patch, aren't good. Anyway, I love Scrapper, or did, before the patch. Now it's like a broken toy that used to be so awesome to play with. Its sad to me.

      100% it feels awful. I appreciate the OPs video, but man is such a downgrade. My engineer is now on runestone duty 😢

      I agree with all of this.
      I used to play Quick DPS Scrapper and Quick Heal Scrapper a lot, it was fun, fluid and it worked well. Now it just feels clunky, tedious, not fun to play at all and uselessly complex compared to other specs like Firebrand or Herald.
      This is the most stupid rework i've ever seen in this game personally, they just took nice and functionning builds and made them unpleasant ( I haven't tried but I don't even know if heal quick scrapper works anymore), for no reason, like there was no explanation in the patch note whatsoever...
      (They also pretty much removed the Quick Bladesworn and Alac Mirage from the game in the same patch i guess ?)
