    For some people that do watch this documentary and lack understanding, people might see Anh in a negative light but he is just a young man who decided to help someone in need but never thought what hardships could be entailed with it. He has never had caregiver training and he did the best that he could. People forget that a caregiver is almost the same as a surrogate family member. They have to give up a lot of their energy physically, emotionally and spiritually to take care of someone with a disability. Just for the sake of appearances, the general public doesn't want to see the raw unfiltered list of effects and frustration that caregivers feel after being in longterm burnouts. I pray for all the fates to thank Anh for his compassionate service by giving him good karma and longevity.

    Ahn obviously has caregiver fatigue, but what a great young man, for helping out Kye regardless. I really hope Kye continues to recover from his stroke and Ahn has the best life possible.

      Kye is now at home in Sydney. He is getting all the care he needs. He wanted to produce this film so that people could see what was happening to him.

    Great documentary! Thank goodness for Anh, what a wonderful kid and so pleased he was able to get home eventually. I'm sure being stuck in that bed for much longer would have really hindered his recovery. Blessings to everyone who helped and encouraged Kye.

      I think Anh is the one most people think about, more so than Kye. It's good that people appreciate Anh's devotion. Without Anh; Kye would have suffered a worst fate. Thank you for your words.

    My heart ached for Anh but it appears he's moved on. I wish the best for that tenderheart. We need a follow up to Kye to see how he's doing besides a glimpse of his therapy. I wish all who were involved many heartfelt blessings. Louis you did an amazing job on this and kudos to you for making his story so widely known. Oh and Australia's Consulate...I hope you've learned something from this.

    I feel bad for the stroke victim I'm hoping the reason he's so strange is that the stroke changed him mentally. Man he is high maintenance.

      Imagine never being able to sleep or rest because of the intense pain and agony you feel in your leg and arm. The nerves shoot the most intense signals like hot fire mixed with electric. Add that to the fact you can't walk, think straight or even feed yourself. Is it rational to be calm?

    • @jamessucese89
      @jamessucese89 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was curious to know if he was high maintenance prior to the stroke or if his personality was affected by the stroke.

      @@jamessucese89 A combination of stroke rewiring the brain, intense nerve pain that prevented sleep, not being able to feed yourself and be independent. Miserable lifestyle change. I think those conditions impact a person.

      @@LouisCorallo85 Speaking as someone who has had to take care of a person who suffered a similar kind of stroke, this is a spot on description. The lifestyle change alone would be enough to drive anyone crazy, but mix that with the cognitive/behavioral changes that come with a stroke (especially if it impacts the prefrontal cortex, which controls inhibition) and the situation becomes unbearable even for the strongest person.

    A stroke is a terrible thing for Kye to have to deal with in this situation - but it seems there are more reasons as to why his family do not want to be involved. It is said his mother is having treatment for lung cancer, yet he stayed in Vietnam... seems like an odd choice not to travel back home if your own mother has cancer - surely she needed looking after too.

    • @stephenienaroleski5453

      The filmmaker posted this to Reddit, and lied (whether accidentally or with blatant intent, I don't know) about the kid's age; he's either 17 or 18 at the time of filming, and was Kye's "housemate"...now I don't know either of these people, but that is not something that typically happens. :/ If it is as sinister as Reddit seems to think it might be, that would explain his family not wanting to run and bring him home, eh.

    • @brainballs
      @brainballs 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stephenienaroleski5453 Definitely seems like the whole story is not told in this video. The person who made the video seems to be working for Kyle (paid or unpaid) - and so it isn't an impartial documentary.
