    I think even most Standard players understand that Cloud Drake was way more of a problem. But top players would also be more likely to suggest something like changing the origin to only include dragons as well. My guess is that the LoR team is just too small to feel comfortable making any changes on this level, and that's why we got something so half-assed instead.
    Of course they also missed on Iron Conquest - the real boon that pushed Hecarim to the top in the first place. So even if that deck took a hit, it now just means the crazy winrate Norra/Morde lists are finally spiking in popularity. And that deck sometimes also plays Wingsgiving, which is also insane in standard...

      Yeah that's fair personally I'm done for a bit till they land a patch that actually does what it sets out to do. Just been playing the Elden Ring DLC for a break.

    The irony is that these nerfs actually hurt non Eddy decks more, with Heckarim dropping to like 52% win rate, and things like Annie Jhin who loved fireball dragon getting hit hard as well. Talk about missing the mark and nuking Japan instead...too soon?

    what if they directly nerfed ED by making his boons only apply to units that are actually played for 6+ mana. if the cloud drake discount deletes your dragonboons, it's no longer problematic and there is also no need to nerf cloud drake for the crimes committed by ED. Nerfing ED in this way would also solve the issue with ancient yeti, heisho, burblefish-type followers and the 6 mana self-discounting Elite they used to play with ED.
    As you say yourself, it's no use nerfing any 6 cost follower to fix ED bc another one will take its place. I believe the same applies to cloud drake.

      There aren't really any other global acceleration cards other than cloud drake, but yeah I'm open to core Eddy changes.
      The big one I mentioned was forcing a 3 of ratio for Eddy in order to get boons in the first place.

      The big thing is I just dont have much patience left, and I dont know how much the community has left either. Eddy is one card how many patches have to miss before people get upset?

      ​@@EternalKing-LegendsOfRuneterra Fully agree, the new devs aren't great at patching pvp but even so eddy isn't unbeatable. he just happens to be the deck archetype that is unreasonably strong for how easy it is to pilot. that archetype will always be around in some form or another for all the casuals. Before eddy came around it was poro king, who got discounted by most pros as "low skill expression" - which is totally fair - but then he also almost won the final world championship.
      And I personally would face ED over poro king every time :D

    Again, I'm gonna keep hammering home that this new director has so far been 0 for 0 with balance changes in LOR. Because card design is hard, and balancing an archetype around the advice of a small subsection of players is stupid because learning how to move a mouse does not equate to game design.
