Stan's story is awe-inspiring, not only in his music journey but his determination to beat stomach cancer that had taken the lives of a ridiculous amount of family members (they have a specific gene that causes stomach cancer). Please check out more of his music!
Draw on our history, our heritage, our culture, our environment, share it with the world and hopefully that will bring us closer together. Free the world.
He is our national son in New Zealand. He is amazing. He has come through heartbreak and struggles. Watch Stan and his Whanau (family) documentary about their struggles and their deep faith in God. Inspiring for others who battle Cancer. Especially Stan who had his stomach removed. His battle with Cancer is epic ❤️❤️
You must watch him live in the studio singing Ultralight Beam. It is unbelievable and like nothing you have seen.
💯 loved your reaction. Check out more of Stans songs, like Ultra light beam or Amazing Grace...He has so many songs that will blow your mind I promise.
You should watch it when he did it on the studio..he’s a truly talented and Gifted brother🔥💯💯
Love your reactions ❤
I keep saying it - superb ❤
🙌😊 Thanks for reacting to Stan 🙏💕 He's such an underrated talent.
Great Reaction ❤❤❤
The message is simple but powerful and you got it immediately. Great reaction!!
yes, he was right on the mark. articulated it perfectly. Well done.
I've extensively travelled the world. Our (New Zealand) geography is squeezed between technonic plates creating a diverse skyline. Without casting shade on other countries our country is totally beautiful. There is no photo shopping. We're always able to reach the water!
Awesome reaction.
Brother Thank you! ❤ Great reaction , loved it. ❤
Loved your interpretation, so right, this is who I AM, i luv it!!
Stan Walker does a Conya West cover. Ultra light beam one of the best covers I've ever seen you need to see.👍❤
Brilliant first time reaction. You need to dig into his treasure trove of beautiful videos. Amazing Grace, Ultralight Beam, Tennessee Whiskey. His back up group Levites are amazing and compliment him beautifully.
Welcome to the Stan train! Enjoy the rabbit hole. All of his music has a clear message.
Yuss! You are so on point with your reaction
cool reaction bro
Tēnā koe D /Hi D. I love your reaction to Stan's waiata / song. I think it is a waiata/ song that speaks to all of us
Loved your comments and your identity be proud dont be ashamed
Yes powerful voice
Thanks alot
You get it! 💯❤❤❤
Best commentary I've heard - instinctively knew that it was about holding to your identity. Listen to his studio recording version of Don't dream it's over. It's brilliant.
His other message is us and our connection to land, water, forests and everything living within it. We all living and are our own beings connected.
Thank you sir for your beautiful reaction ❤
Stan Walker was born in Australia, but is descended from the Maori in New Zealand. In 2009, Walker was the winner of the seventh season of Australian Idol.
This song is amazing. There is speculation that it could receive an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. We'll see. :-)
The Maori parts say:
(Chorus:)
I am of your vitality
The source from Kurawaka*
My unique sacredness
The dawn breaks
Face the light of the new day
Shine, cross over to life
*[Kurarwaka is the name of the place where the first human being was made by the god Tāne according to Maori mythology]
(End of the song:)
Resounding are your deeds
Received is your message
It remains
Bind together, fix, and affirm!
It is affirmed!
Bound together!
In unity!
Yes you know it brother😊 Ataahua ( beautiful) thank you for sharing our Stan❤
Kia ora for reacting to Stan. Apparently video filmed and edited in 2 weeks! Many other great NZ bands you can check out. Like SIX60 - Kia Mau Ki Tō Ūkaipō / Don't Forget Your Roots (Live at Western Springs 2020) ♥
Awesome reaction.💜
Kia Ora from NZ😊
Hi from Nz,our culture is different then yours
You've totally missed Stan's message Kare! We all descend from culture as the reactor pointed out - grounding oneself in our own heritages is a profound step forward that we can share as a people, be proud of who you are, stand tall! In that acknowledgement we don't need to stand on others, judge others - humanity as a whole have more in common than the differences that the small/closed minded choose to believe.
