Yo ...hey i just subbed. I like your reactions. I saw Origin a couple weeks ago in Auckland NZ.... absolutely loved it. Stans "I am" song blasting at the end was supreme! I am Stan fan forever. Since he won Australian Idol 2009 and all that journey I was hooked from his auditon of John Legends Ordinary people as an 18 year. 😂 they weren’t on holiday…. many of his family members, Aunts, uncles , cousins etc moved to Australia for better job opportunities like many Māori families do they pretty much live close or together….. totally immersed in their own culture
He was born in Australia and at the age of about 2 weeks old his family moved back to NZ where he spent most of his young childhood growing up on the marae , his family moved back and forth between both countries. He considers him self Māori first and foremost.

It speaks to find, learn and respect your heritage, and in doing so, it strengthens your foundation in todays world. Seek your ancestors and respect them, seek your culture and learn of it and respect it, and by knowing your heritage and learning it, you will have pride for your history, pride for your family, and pride for you as a man in todays world..
