    I have been watching your videos for a few years now and still there are new things to learn on every new video you make. Thank you for your contribution to the game. You are the most underrated coach ever.

      Dr dave billiards is much better. Dr dave goes into detail regarding the nuances of pool shots, so you can better understand the variables. Tor Lowry glosses over these nuances, and he also is VERY boring to listen to haha - where did his enthusiasm go??? jk
      Also, Scott Rohleder is a good source for learning the details of pool. He talks about systems, english, and more, and he does so in a way that is easy to understand, and he does them in person, as opposed to Tor Lowry only using his "best" shots.

    these shots are good, but I feel (correct me if im wrong) that most people would opt for "the simple play" or a safety in a lot of these cases because these shots are High-risk/high-reward

    • @georgea9959
      @georgea9959 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree 100%. If I'm in an APA match and not fully confident I would opt for the pot or defensive shot. While these look easy I've practiced them a bit & some are quite difficult!

      I think that’s kind of the point of this video. This isn’t a “you should play this shot this way” it’s a “learn these shots so you CAN play these”. He even says that to improve you need to be adding 15-20 different shots into your repertoire every month, and while these are very scenario specific, it can’t hurt to learn how to use them.

    It’s a good shot but mike Massey didn’t discover this. I used to see this shot all the time by one of the guys that taught me Pool. He even explained to me how the shot works and when you want to use it.

    I love #4. Using poor stroke mechanics on purpose. It's funny how we work to not do this stuff and then we have to relearn it to add a shot to our bag of tricks.

    I like to play pool in bars around Bali (I'm playing about 3 times a week for the past 6 months) where the cue tips are mostly in not the greatest state and it's difficult to perform a back spin. Do you mind making a tutorial how to perform good spin with bad cue? If that even is possible? Cheers!

    Good vid. You have pro cuts on your diamond? I have leagues now but got an offer to swap them to pro's for free. Be interesting to see how much harder it is to cheat the pocket.

    Great content. One thing tho. The kill shot starting at the 9:00 mark, I shoot those with low inside and your using outside. Wouldn’t you rather curve the CB into shot path than away from it? After contact, you get much less CB travel. What do you think?

    • @tonicogsf
      @tonicogsf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He’s thinking more about the object ball throw (which means he can hit it way fuller). Considering he’s not elevating his cue, there’s almost no swerve (curve) going on. But if you play it with low inside and still holds the CB, then great. I usually play it with outside.

    I've been thrown out of lots of pool rooms for not losing. Yet I can't get a game on this play store no lessons needed. Object ball to any 4 banks to knock the 9 in the corner try it.

  • @Strype13

    While you very clearly know what you're doing, the way your cue flies off to the (right) side after making contact with the cue ball (example at 18:50) goes against everything I've ever been told about proper shot form.

    • @ZeroXBilliards
      @ZeroXBilliards  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you watch the Mike Massey video 50 Shots video he refers to this stroke as a swipe stroke, where the tip swipes across the cue ball to to generate sidespin. Not something that new players should be taught but something experienced players can use to generate a tremendous amount of sidespin.

    as always great content but the transition sound is annoying and for me unnecessary.

  • @tomaaron6187

    I can’t follow this format. Too artificial. Much prefer a more natural camera angle as in your earlier videos.
