Geweldig Niels dat je deze content maakt! Mooi dat iemand die ik zo bewonder in het poolen dit voor ons wil doen. Ondanks dat ik zelf al lang speel heb ik in een paar video's toch veel bij kunnen leren. Heel erg bedankt!
It's a fantastic combination when one of the world's best players also has the ability to present and convey techniques in a way that everyone can understand, and which can elevate your game to the next level.
Neils, thank you. I have watched your videos and practiced for a month straight. I’ve won 2 local tournaments 5/6 times and the other I got 2nd. My game has elevated to a whole new level. The knowledge you offer is power. People notice and it’s been really rewarding learning from you.
Inside info from one of the best players on the planet. Take note people. Free tips is worth its weight it gold for any pool player. Thanks Niels. Appreciate the tips. 👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
11:42 "Everybody has their own level" -Neils Feijen, 2021 What a good teacher would reflect to his students. Most teachers have their bar high up, not noticing we do not have the same skill level of learning as others do. I have learned so much in this video. Keep up the great work, Stay humble and Good health.
Niels Feijn, simply put....... My favorite pro player to watch. This stop shit drill is excellent. Used to shoot one quite the same along the long rail. Start 1 diamond apart, pot 15, move to the next diamond. Continue until object ball is at the far end and then start closing the gap with the cue ball. Perfect for long and short stop shots. Plus allows your body to get used to reaching further but still making the same shot.
Massively important. You fall into a trap as an amateur that all shots should be hit hard. Your pals will say, “let your stoke out!!!”. That helps for awhile because your not letting the table roll your shot off or your no longer decelerating through your shot.... what Niels is saying here got me past that particular point in my game and took it to a new level. Now when I see other amateurs hitting those shots super hard, I know I’ll have chances at the table. Great video Niels!
Terminator - when you say “massive” improvements, it’s not hype like others tout. You really deliver! I’ve been working on this tip for 2 weeks and I’ve once again made a massive improvement to my game! This draw/stop shot is quite a weapon. I’m making virtually all of my shots that are just off the rail, from the straight in and cut angles, which was always a weak spot for me. The object ball goes into the target pocket nice and easily, with a wide margin for being off on the shot. I also have much more cue ball tangent line control so my positioning is much better now. And last but not least - this plus your stroke tips have slowed down my stroke so I am more accurate on all my shots in what is now more of a finesse game. Thanks Neils - besides being a world champion, you are equally adept at communicating and helping thousands of players!
Niels, I've been watching you for years on Utube in tournaments, just discovered this tutorial. It is great, very well done. I'm going to binge on all your tutorials now, I'm sure my game will improve. Thanks so much!!
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen I had to give a little something for all you've given to us. I will continue to watch, apply and share. It's really a blessing to get this insight.
Good stuff! One thing... That graphic of the cue ball makes it look like your hitting at the bottom edge of the ball and I know that can't be right. Something I know I need to learn more about is how to keep from miscuing when I go for for spin or English. I bet some of it is my tip and the chalk but probably 90% is my technique. 🤪
I’ve seen many top players, live and online, provide instruction. But Feijen breaks concepts down in a way that makes them much more accessible to amateurs like me. Bob Jewett might be the only instructor I’ve ever seen who is comparable, IMHO.
Cheers Niels I have saved your great work and will work on it tomorrow whilst my wife is out! You are really improving my game and therefore, making it easier and more enjoyable all the time.
Never have seen any of your videos, and I'm about 100% on this shot, but the way you explained it will definitely help me teach my friends and keep me coming back for more videos!
So happy to say that after watching this video that the very situation that you talk about first came up in my pool game tonight (was English 8-ball) I played it (with my 9-ball cue) the same as you demonstrated and the 8 didn't wobble at all, please keep these helpful tips coming
Hi Niels, thank you for a very good video....I'm retired now and am saving up for a Longoni Cue...I really want the carbon fiber shaft but that will take me about 1 year to save for. I'm sure it will be well worth it. thank you again for sharing your great skills.
Thanks Niels, very clever technique. Even dough i loose à bit accuracy with the top low spin, it compensates by the pocket playing bigger. Can't wait to try your drills.
Great video. I'm a beginner and never would have thought to shoot with other than the cue ball. This gets a lot more shooting time in. I can't wait to retire(3 years) and spend a lot more time at the hall with the old fellas! TY
Niels, from one Dutchman to another, thank you that was a great demonstration of ball control. I always enjoy your commentary as well, nice to hear an expert explain what is happening on the table but also what is happening from the player perspective.
Great Video Niels..., I am a firm believer in drills. It really helps me out. Thanks for all the information you are passing back to us. We appreciate it.
I am a drill freak also. That is the reason I practice a lot to beat my buddies really badly so that they ll be convinced of the importance of doing drills. once my pendulum stroke is improved I will most likely reach that point.
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen You’re welcome can you do a video on force follow when to use it, And how to use it. I see a lot of guys lining shots up that look straightahead they go higher on the cue ball they shoot their shot instead of the cue ball following the ball into the pocket like I would think it would the shot is turned into a force follow shot putting the cue ball in a completely different position than I thought it would end up I’m having a little bit of a difficult time with this concept thank you
