For the first time EVER, I finally remember to listen for a funny sounding phrase to guess which one it is when he says "already said it mate". And for the first time, he doesn't do it! 😂
Gotta come back to Ipswich! Back in the premier league with an upgraded stadium and excellent atmosphere! Will be very different to when you went back in our championship relegation season.
As a shout out for doing stuff on your own at 7:50 been to a fair few non-league matches in my time on my own and tbf - I'm rarely by myself at the end of it. Met some proper great people down the years - don't worry about standing out people are friendlier than you think and you'll make some friends in no time!
Yeovil Town, under new ownership from last season, club is back on the rise. Has a fanzone, live music before the game, great atmosphere in the thatchers gold stand behind the goal.
Port Vale dropped the prefix "Burslem" in 1907. I'm not certain but perhaps the move to play in another town called Hanley necessitated the name change.
Great to see you back. Forest Green Rovers come to mind (first time I went there with Grantham in 85 the crowd was just over 100). ..then there are the oddities of QPR and Grimsby.
Really enjoyed it when I went a while ago, lovely food and crowd, they had a family run cake stand that was incredible. One of the friendliest clubs in the EFL.
As someone from Buxton and support Buxton fc we are sponsored by Buxton water on the kit but not sure if we sell bottles at games but I imagine we do 🤣, maybe you should come to a game 😎
I've always liked the look of Vale and this looked like a great example of a day out at the football over there. Too bad about the goalless draw, I bet everything would have scored higher if there was some action in the match.
can't believe you've gone to the shit before coming to Stoke, poor form Smiv 😉 JK: So happy we are back on the road with you, looking forward to this season.
Forest Green’s the only other team I can quickly think of without a place name attached, QPR possibly too? Also got teams like Grimsby not based in Grimsby itself.
If you ever come to Shropshire (please 🙏) Shrewsbury - 3rd tier The New Saints - Cyrmu Premier AFC Telford - 7th tier Whitchurch Alport - 9th tier Market Drayton - 10th tier
Port Vale footy bingo. You got Robbie Williams in, but I was waiting to hear "Wembley of the North" (the original intention for Vale Park). How about Queen of the South for a club that isn't a place?
0:14 hashtag United (no town or village called hashtag in England) Forest green rovers (a vegan team) in Non League. Vauxhall’s motors fc Does fc schalke 04 count? They are in Gelsenkirchen area. No hate, you might want a “family friendly” sponsor Only a suggestion from me. i am sorry this was goalless.😅 11:43 Please consider going to a Balham match this Saturday And kingstonian match on bank holiday Monday in Raynes park vale where you could win their raffle.😮 They are playing their groundshare derby v Raynes park.
"On the Road! Yep, back again", prawn sandwich, light at the end of the tunnel, old man's voice, turnstile clickage, FOOTBAAAALLLL, mascot/dog at the football, justice for stewards. WE ARE SO BACK! Just missing some banger goals, and girthy corner flags...
The 2024-2025 season can officially begin

Port Vale used to be known as Burslem Port Vale (Burslem is the town they're based in). Not sure when they dropped the Burslem part.

Omg cannot believe your back again!!!! This season has just got so much better....
Great to have on the road back
Great to see you back. Forest Green Rovers come to mind (first time I went there with Grantham in 85 the crowd was just over 100). ..then there are the oddities of QPR and Grimsby.
