- Your jade house plant is losing leaves because it is not receiving enough sunlight. Consider moving your jade plant near a window in your house where I can absorb more hours of indirect lighting every day. This is the most common reason why jade plants lose their leaves is due to inadequate lighting. These plans are considered high indirect light demanding plants.

Succulents usually need more than a window can provide. Also, direct light.. as long as it’s acclimated. Don’t take it home from a store where it’s been under shitty store lights and then throw it directly in the sun. But absolutely they can handle direct light in a window. Mine are in a south facing window on a shelf, also under barrina t8s because the window just isn’t enough.
My jade plant is growing well i place the plant in full day direct sunlight and its 43 degree’s in India and I water it 2 times in a week according to pot size and soil condition
I just got my first jade succulent....I'm terrified that I might kill it. 😢 its a very sentimental plant because it belonged to a friend who passed away. Thanks for the info!
So easy .. get a water meter. And they love sun..
Should I use artificial light for jade plants in winter months…I live in Michigan
I tried doing like you said and tried to listed to my plant and hours and hours of silence. I tried again today and it still didn’t work.
I experimented full sunlight vs away of it and the one works for my Jade Plant is the away of sunlight but open Area I also have indoor healthy super Green leaf 🍃 😊❤ I used to water it every week but if it’s hot I water twice a week 😊
What soil is good for jade plants?
Beautiful jade plant thanks new subscriber friends thanks good evening 🌆
My elderly neighbor gave me some really old jade plant super thick trunks. The leaves are spread far apart. I don’t think it was getting enough sun at her house, and I may have been overwatering it when they moved to mine. I’m wondering how much I should cut back to rejuvenate it. I don’t want to lose them!
I usually check the roots for any decaying cuz if the leaves can't tell, the roots does. I dint know what it is. But usually I left it on its on and water them not regularly thoughts I am abusive 😔 now ik. 😅
Your dieffenbachia in behind looks like mine, except mines REALLY not happy, I think overwatering is my problem
I've a self watering pot. Should I keep it filled all the time? Can I rely on my plant's absorption ability for watering if I just keep the pot filled with water?
Let a self watering pot completely dry out; don't keep it full on these types of plants. When the leaves are not plump, when they fold over, then water again.
Do you except submissions to subscribers who need suggestions on saving plants?
Mine gets loads of light and its going crazy!!
Is it in direct sunlight?
@@momomatthew7959 Yes its on a south facing windowsill. I water every ten days or so.
Ahh thanks for the reply!
Recently, I was gifted a Jade and tho I don't get access to direct sunlight, the place that it is currently sitting at receives an abundance of indirect bright light.
I can see the new growth too so I was a little sceptical if it would be okay without direct sunlight.
@@momomatthew7959 Good luck with it they are lovely plants
Mines have white stuff on stem & leaves shivel up and drop off even though water help😢 looks like the dead ones on your surface
Sounds like mealybugs
You're over watering. You also have alot of salt in your tap water. You might wanna switch to bottled.
Mine is wet all the time. But I built a wooden pot with a lot of air flow probably loose enough soil. Some of my succulents are in water for a while but are doing OK.
My green jade turned fully purple is this bad?
No , it means it’s really healthy, loving the position it’s in & care you give 😊
How can I get rid of the flies in the soil please
Use crushed lava rock spagnum moss and coco fiber. Pumice works really good for succulents. Also just let soil fully dry out
Spray entire plant with a (roughly) 60/40 - water to 70% isopropyl alcohol + 1tsp dish soap (i use dawn) mixture and also directly into soil every day or two until gone. They will crawl out of soil once you begin spraying, so you can spray them directly when they do.
Side note: I spray all new plants with this mixture (immediately when bringing them home) and then every other day or two as needed. Has worked on all plant pests (+ any that randomly wander into my home 🙌🏻)
How much is the plant
Ten dollars for that size.
There is no succulent family, bro.
