No the games wanted you to actually feel angry at Kratos because he was over the top. Lost. Angry. And at the end of the game he regrets it and he finally gave back to his victims, he gave them hope, by sacrificing himself (as far as he knew he would die) and that should make you feel, well at least he did the right thing.
He did. It was a bit tough because I just had a bit of a tough time with the idea that someone who feels such a heavy sense of loss would be blind to how he has likely brought same feeling to so many. But I know that’s also part of why he’s compelling. He was selfish.
@@mercyweapon3791 he was beyond selfish. He thought everything and everyone who suffered deserved it. He had no hope for himself so what could he spare for dying mortals? He lost the only mortals he cares about the Spartans. I think the visuals of what was happening to Greece were the message to the player that you are playing with someone who is faaaar gone. As teens we didn’t care we just wanted to reach Zeus like Kratos but on the second and third play throughs (because that game is fun af and I will start playing it after this comment) you get to actually see what the developers were trying to show you. Drowning the world, taking the sun, disease, killing all plant life, releasing all the souls of the dead (mostly bad), killing the mother of the earth itself and the only God who could’ve fixed it all Zeus. But the only redemption is that he gave back to the Humans one thing they missed, and solely relied on the Gods to give Hope. And I think with that and all the Greek Gods dead, Greece is in a much better situation.
They improved the feeling of pulling back the blades as well and the sound effects of you listen close. I also walk around randomly throwing the axe at trees etc, but I now do the same with the spear. Sometimes i will just stand there slamming it on the ground. It makes for some great photo mode shots
That armor only does the poison of you don't use any weapons and only punching. I figured that out the hard way that I wasn't doing any poison damage after leveling then up all the way
The yellow ring means it is definitely going to break your block unless you parry the attack. The stonewall shield is the only one that doesn't get broken by yellow ringed attacks.

Also, Lunda's armor set gives a %40 damage increase for melee attacks so they probably didn't want melee to be too overpowered.

I know some weapon pommels and handles can do some poison damage but fists seem to be where it's at for that.
