interestingly enough, Riku's words to Sora here in the English dub are a mistranslation. In Japanese, he says "Sora, I believe in you. You don't give up." These words deeply affect Sor and he goes on to reference and pass them down to Nameless Star in the Final World. This is a great video, thank you for making and sharing
Sora sacrificed his heart for Kairi in KH1, Riku sacrificed his body to Ansem in 358 for Sora, and now Riku sacrificed his entire being for Sora but more emotion with his theme playing
The music makes all the more feel like an act to save someone that matters to you, that your risking yourself for them. The music reminds me of his journey, and then he put his life on the line for Sora, once again showing how much he's changed... I'm emotional now 🎵😣
The only reason Riku fell is because the Demon Tide he was up against was made of thousands or even more Heartless. Almost no one can do it all All the Heartless Sora and the others teamed up against in the other battle was against Riku Alone in that moment Sora needed help of the Union Keyblade Wielders of the past to beat them, while Riku was alone The fact Riku held his own against that endless wave of Heartless for even a moment is a testament how powerful he really was as a Keyblade Master in this game
I like the original scene more. The silence was more impactful and eerie like it's supposed to depict, war, death of their friends/loved ones, devastation and Riku choosing to fight until the end and go down like a warrior, but I like this too, it was good to, it depicts Riku sacrificing himself for Sora and Sora being shocked and sad at Riku being overtaken by the heartless storm.

He never faltered for a second. Stood his ground the whole time.
Even if he fell. Riku shows he was a True Keyblade Master in that moment
You made this scene WAY sadder than it was in the actual game... Thanks, I guess?
I will stand by it till the day I die. Riku is the best character in this series.
So much better honestly.

Would have been 100x better if Riku said "Giving up already? Come on Sora, I thought you were stronger than that."
He actually said in jp: Sora, I believe in you. You won't give up.
@@celineosthaus8032 KH3’s poor localization robbed us 😭 that would’ve hit so hard
@@nemi9217 Oh, it's not just KH3 that got badly localized.
I think the scene with the music makes it more impactful! I also have watched it so many times since it's so good to me.
Sounds like if Riku’s theme was converted into some sad and depressing moment in the apocalypse or something lol

my new headcanon is that’s exactly how this scene played out
This is actually so inspiring when I keep replaying it!
And yet people wonder why Soriku is so much more heavily implied than Sokai I mean....IT'S RIGHT THERE.
I'M IN PAIN, THANKS
THIS MADE ME CDY BYE
I just realized Riku died the same way as Archer Shirou in Heaven's feel movie
This was too much for my gay heart to handle and I'm now writing this from the gay afterlife!!!!
ok
Same bruh, gets me everytime
Man this was perfect
RIKU IS THE GOAT
Congratulations You have found the Way to the Dawn Idol for Survivor: Game On. screenshot this comment and send it to Host Tad to claim it
edit: lmao i really misspelled the world sacrifice
Is it okay for me to share this on the kingdom hearts amino
@@onix9906 yes of course go for it!
Wow the difference is so freakin' palpable
Never give up.
wow this is amazing!
It would have been so good like this, but the music cuts off when Riku disappears.
Also I love project destati's music!
Rho...AIAS!
Maybe credit project destati for the music in the description yo
nice
Theres no point in sacrificing for sora when he too get sucked into that as well but i guess its a beautiful scene with the emotional song
KH3 did have a different cutscene director
Idk I think I much preferred it over no music
what version of riku’s theme is this? :0
destati one and i guess it’s kind of orchestral
