Man, it's so amazing to see LB not only reunite, but to also see them getting their *WELL DESERVED* flowers on platforms like this 😊🙏🏾 One of my favorite hip hop groups of all time! *The Listening & The Minstrel Show are classic albums* 😎🤙🏾💙✌🏾🎨⛅
I didn't even watch the clips just so I could see this episode in it's entirety. Big salute to my favorite rap duo of all-time. They raised me from a young teen to a grown ass man with their music.
God bless these brothas. They came into the game with straight heat. Jumped genres, broke up, got back together. This the hip hop family we needed and I'm glad y'all put on for the culture and the state of North Carolina. #RNS 😎✊🏿💯💯💯
@@RuthIessVillain Phonte is also part of a group named 'The Foreign Exchange', where he does more singing and the producer (Nicolay) beats are more alternative/experimental. They got some dope music out there btw!
I’m a Carolina native residing in the RDU area and to have sonically grown up with these cats has been an absolute pleasure. My first time seeing them rock was at The Little Brother Block party a few months ago and it was F**KIN DOPE!!! 🫡 Phonte and Rapper
These are grown MEN talking grown MAN ish. You got to respect these brothers. It gives me just a little bit of hope for whatever this hip hop genre is going to become when I hear interviews from brothers like this. Solid interview.
Jackson is the one that’s on the go he is the eighth wonder as queens Brooklyn and Long Islands sun grow don’t be frozen be chosen 🤔 2024 = 8 all of you are gods and goddesses one
Outstanding interview. MEO just gets better and better. Shame that Math missed this one. The team covered his absence effortlessly. Keep up the great work and greetings from the UK 🇬🇧. Watching this on January 1st. All the best for the new year folks.
The Kanye comparison is interesting. As there was 100% a lane opening for more ‘every day man’ in the mainstream and Kanye and LB helped open that up. And even if it didn’t fully work out, definitely feel with right label push, right singles, LB could have much bigger. Unfortunately (perhaps not unfortunately) for LB and many artists they were just ahead of their time and helped open up the lane for others to then make that stuff fully mainstream. Salute to LB for their influence on the game and all the great albums. The Listening one of the defining albums of my teenage years growing up
Thank you for this interview! “Loving it” and “Life of the party”are two of my all-time favorite joints, and will live on in infamy strictly off of the feeling that Era had, and possessed as a whole back then. Thank you 🙏🏿
Been waiting for this episode to drop. True hip-hop greatness. These brothers gave/give us dope flows, great beats, and creative, thoughtful content. Top 5 hip-hop duo all-time! I got: 1) Outkast 2) Run DMC 3) De La Soul 4) Little Brother 5) Mobb Deep
I wanna THANK Little Brother. I took my wife to see them in 2019. It was my first actual concert, and she enjoyed it. Like they said it was a grown folks show. Started on time, no hype men or opening acts. The DJ played music from our era (Big, Jayz, Wayne and even old school r&b). I cant wait til the next project Brothers.
I appreciate little brother because the approach they have to rap is the exact same approach I have to basketball. Been in and out of the pro circuit, under appreciated by teams, coaches, others. But I still continue to work my ass off because I love the game, and I want to be the best when I step on the court. LB spit for the love of the game. Forget money, fame, other things, they do it because it’s pure. I’ll never forget the first time I heard them when I was at hampton University. I truly appreciate LB, 9th, and MEO crew for making it happen. I’m here to make a difference… and hope the same for everybody watching/reading. #H1
Love these brothers. So down to earth. They feel like real people. They carried the baton for the golden age but then showed us their humanity through the art and more.
He right though. Little Brother has one of the most loyal fan bases that have followed them through the years. That's why their album isn't 60 minutes long. They make music for people that got shit to do.

Pooh, Tay, and 9th gained a lot of wisdom from their time in the game. I've watched both MEO episodes with 9th and this one with Pooh & Tay. All 3 of them have said some real dope stuff in their videos that can only be attributed wirh age and understanding...them brothas definitely get it.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥...you are irrelevant if you're not checking this podcast! Always fire, LB still in rotation...always birthing 5 🎤...🗣️Pooh and Tay, real talk the REALIST OF REAL ON REELS! NOTHING BUT RESPECT 🫡 ✊🏾
Love Little Brother...look forward to watching the doc too. Too much fun navigating the discography attached to Little Brother past & present. Crazy replay value in my lifetime going back to the Justus League mixtape days...
I remember how I heard them for the first time. A friend of mine worked at Warner Brothers. She sent me a box of about 50 CD's and Minstrel Show was in the box. It was about half a year before I listened to it. I was like whodafuq are these cats!!! I have been a fan ever since.
Little Brother Is Top 10 All Time Hip-Hop Royalty!!!! It’s Great They’ve Been Acknowledged The Way These Brothers Did For Them!!! I Wish 9th Wonder Was With Them..But, The Emcees Were There And Gave An Outstanding Interview 🙌🏽❤️🔥🔥
It's wild to me hearing people speak of them that way. To me they were just a random local act from Durham that I liked and wanted to support. Never imagined they would reach legendary status
I have been waiting for the full interview and this is cool. I had enough time to check the doc and come back to this!! I love the doc because it defiinitely shows their individual talents and come up. Great interview guys 🙏🏾💗 to Little Brother
Oh shit! LB, one of my absolute favorite duo’s (plus 9th) they are a huge part of my teenage years, 20’s and 30’s. Such an amazing group. Man the music they made will forever be apart of my life. LB forever!
This is beautiful to see and know that they are out rocking shows definitely looking forward to seeing them live for the first time being a long time fan
Really great interview with LB Ive always loved them its good to see and hear them in good spirits. Also Math's absence on this one is appreciated hope he gets better tho.
Great interview! I have been a fan of Little Brother since the early 2000s, and they always had that hip hop with substance. Beats, bars, and meaningful music. I never got into all the behind the scenes stuff, but I am piecing things together. Rapper Pooh's "Rear View Mirror" has a different meaning now among lines in songs that I am just realizing. I look forward to more interviews like this and am looking forward to watching the documentary. Keep it going ✊🏾
Don’t think of yourself as a 44 year old rapper. Think of yourself as a 44 year old writer. Well said Phonte! Lots of gems in this interview. Sidenote…dude in the blue and white jumpsuit looks like he could be Joe Buddens more mature older brother.
I needed to hear this because im 45 of age and im a poet emcee by heart from NYC harlem and yeah the stigma is real but i still keep rhymimg and kill cyphers if needed!
Phonte had a great, but short lived podcast back in 2007/2008 with DJ Brainchild called "Gordon Gartrelle Radio". I have no idea why he stopped doing it, but in those days only comedians were podcasting. Lol but if you know phonte he can bring the funny with the best of them.
Love these guys so much. I think I might have been at the S.O.B. show Pooh was speaking on. I know I copped the first CD there. Glad they are still out here making timeless music!

Love me some Phonte. Good talk!
They have that Jada and Styles back-and-forth friendship.
Gat refuses to pay attention.😂
Pooh: "It was 45 cities in 50 days."
Gat: How long was the tour?

Top 5 hip-hop duo all-time!
I got:
1) Outkast
2) Run DMC
3) De La Soul
4) Little Brother
5) Mobb Deep
EPMD and MOP should be somewhere.....among them
Great list. Many honorary mentions left out here, respectfully of course.
@perrynnlynch1883 No doubt. There are many other great duos who deserve honorable mention status.
Rae and Ghost
EPMD
Black Star
And more.....

You so stupid 😂
Love these brothers. So down to earth. They feel like real people. They carried the baton for the golden age but then showed us their humanity through the art and more.
We don't want an opening act, we not goin on stage at 11; our fans got to go to work! lol Phonte is hilarious!

This is beautiful to see and know that they are out rocking shows definitely looking forward to seeing them live for the first time being a long time fan
Mane! I wanted Phonte and Pooh to spit so bad on Champs Beatbox at the beginning of this interview!
I was at Dual of the Iron Mics when Tae used to come in and WRECK everybody. What a time to be alive!
When G-Unit ruled the commercial airwaves, Justus League had the underground on Lock
Little brother just keeps on impacting my whole life, inside and outside being amazing musicians.
The only episode I watched all the way through. LB is a breath of fresh air. From the start!

I still wanna know why TF Phonte got left off of Take Care. Drake was really close to featuring him on it at one point.
I was excited to see them on here you gotta bring them back with math
08-10 bumpin little brother in my g35 coupe fresh out of high school… awww I see now.
I just want them to make a NC artist album with other big NC artists like Rapsody and J. Cole.
LB is definitely one of my favorite hip-hop groups that puts out some of the illest music!!!
