Do you think it’s cause I didn’t use a leave in? Or is there a such thing as too much gel? I just don’t know why it flaked up like that at the roots.

I had the same experience I jus tried wetline last nite on one side and eco crystal on the other and the wetline came out soooooooo much better the curls were softer a slight crunchy but I dont mind, I did wetline, conditioner I haven't perfected mine yet but imma try ur method ❤
Y'all try the eco Crystal clear it works soooooo good better than wet line and the edge booster in my opinion. I'm almost sure that wetline has anti-freeze in it. But just my opinion.

Sandra Farr i think lighter products made for kids would be best. The Mane choice, she’s moisture, etc... is good. However, I don’t know them to have gels. Maybe you can research a natural gel to make diy.

Oh no! Never apply gel straight to bare hair always use a leave in first or a cream THEN the gel... after you can air dry or blow dry it to make it dry faster
that is 4a curls 4a curls diameter is 1/8th-3/16th of an inch and that's the size of your curls. I have 4a curls and I'm a natural hairstylist. 4c curls are extremely small to the eye like 1/16th of an inch
