This change is great. This gel gets my curls defined with less work. I have to pile a ton of eco gel to get my curls defined. Sis, I love it. Pleasantly surprised and I Am now convinced they increased the amount of aloe in the product. I didn’t even need leave in, just a little oil.
I recently bought some and had to switch the lid with one of my old containers😭 I like the little carrier thing

I’ve been waiting on you to try this! As soon as I saw it at Target I instantly was like “I can’t wait til Rayna see it!”😂😂😂😂😂 Also the difference is the first ingredient has been updated from Water to Sodium Hydroxide (lye). And it’s still wetline. The Wetline is on the top of the lid (at least on mine)

Lol! That’s so weird, both of mine still say water as the first ingredient. But yea the ingredients altogether for me, changed...
That’s so crazy!!!! Mine is totally different than yours! Imma need Wetline to get it together!!!!
There is sodium hydroxide in it however the ingredient list is split on the jar. So you can see the first 3-4 ingredients on one side then it continues on the other side. Which definitely makes it’s confusing. But it’s like the 4 or 5th ingredient. Most like used a pH stabilizer like other products. Sodium hydroxide is used in many beauty products and soaps.

I can still get the Wetline Xtreme at my local Walmart & Target, so no issues there. I am on vacation in rural Costa Rica and guess what I found in the local market?! Wetline in every version 😂🤣😁

I love it. It keeps your curls elongated even when it dries. It spreads on the hair better. Definition for me was magnificent!

I had to drive 25 min to find some wetline! It’s still wet line in the south 😂. I got 4 tubs.
Think I'm going to go and purchase a few tubs of the original formula before its totally gone and in case I don't like the new formula.

Just bought and used the "new" formula for a perm rod set this past Wednesday. Definitely had a record scratch moment in the aisle. I almost didn't buy it because I was so thrown, but they came out bomb as usual. My only gripe, they need to bring back the lid with the handle though that was so convenient.

I just bought a small jar to try it because where I usually go they no longer carry Eco. I have THICK, coily hair that only Eco tames and I was pleased! Cheaper, great hold and my hair was soft.
It’s absolutely not the same. I used it for the first time last night with my usual leave in and it was flake city!! I mean snow. Wet line has never caused my hair to flake and I’ve been using it fir 6 years. Also, it was quite weird. It dried very crunchy, literally like I felt my hair was going to snap.. Then after I scrunched it was extremely soft and movable. The hold is not as good. Therefore, it doesn’t last as long. I wish they go back to the old formula. Otherwise I’m going to have to find a new leave in.

Ok.... my new gel combo and my final gel that I will use is..... Eco black castor flax gel or Eco gold UNDER Wetline Xtreme gel. Girl... this combo is DA TRUF! You have GOT to try this. I have found that they both work the same under Wetline. It is BOMB! I hope you try it and make a video. Also, what i do is use more Eco and less Xtreme. My hair has a ton of hold and no crunch. It also has so much bounce too. My reason for first trying this combo was that I loooovvvedd the slip in both of those gels that I personally don't have with Wetline. I loved my results, but I didn't get the exact hold that I wanted. So I said let me try this Eco with all the slip and THEN use the Wetline. BAM!!! It was perfect! I can't see myself using anything else.

OMG! I was looking for Wetline Gel in Wal-Mart two weeks ago for a re-up and couldn't find it anymore. Instead, I purchased Long-Aid Curl Activator Gel. This video explains it. Welp! At least the other gel is working very well. Your hair is looking good as always! 😁

I’ve been waiting for this video! I tried it but I couldn’t get the volume that I normally get day 2 and 3 with the original. I used the same combination, curls still look amazing day 7 but no volume.

Just an FYI for those who are interested...first ingredient in new formula is sodium hydroxide (lye)...not sure why but it is🤷🏾♀️
Connie Preston its bc it is an alkaline solution so it is used to balance the pH of products. Alot of beauty products have them in it. There is a great amount of lye in relaxers bc if you have a high concentration of alkaline solution it helps break the hair bonds, lift the cuticle and results in the hair being straight. The amount in the different products are for a specific purpose. I hope that makes sense.

I just recently started trying to be a wash and go girl. I finally got around to looking for the Wetline to try a couple weeks ago and found this one in Walmart. I couldn’t find the original. I stood in Wally going through your videos trying to find if you used this one not to get the comparison. I see now it’s new packaging 😆 Needless to say when this video popped in my feed I was like ahhh ok 🤦🏾♀️ Anyhoo, I used it last week. Not bad so far!
