      Colorado to the B1G way ahead of Utah.

      @andrewferguson700 Utah was really close this expansion. Closer then most people know. It's better then some of the teams taken by the B1G. Colorado wasn't even close.

      @@TestSubject38 I have never seen anything about that type of talk besides opinion. I think Utah is fantastic and doing a great job, but everyone judges Colorado by 2006-2023 when we shot ourselves in the butt trying to suck because of administration. If you take all factors, History, AAU, Population, Media Market, Atmosphere, Stadium, Rivalries (Nebraska) and now Prime, CU is positioned ahead of Utah, but they should both go if possible.

    • @TestSubject38
      @TestSubject38 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @andrewferguson700 I would like to see both in the B1G. I heard from someone at Ohio St. Utah was considered because of their growth in football, their R&D skyrocketing over the last five years, the market growth in Salt Lake and the time zone they would help fill.
      That some of the schools wanted Utah over Oregon but lost out over brand.

    Doc Gibbs, It isn't that FSU fans are upset the SEC "doesn't want and fight for them", it's the reasoning they give... preposterous.

    The B12 would add UConn, Syracuse, Louisville, Gonzaga & Creighton to go with Baylor, AZ, Iowa state, UH & Texas Tech to stay dominant BB conference!!

    Ironically, NCState and VaTech seem to fit the traditional SEC brand way more than NC and Va. I don't know what changes the SEC will make, but their postering is certainly a departure from their current identity.

    • @B12Mafia
      @B12Mafia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Keep in mind their recent additions include: Mizzou, TAMU, Texas and Oklahoma. Schools like UNC and UVA have more in common with those schools than VT and NC State. This is a long-term strategy for the SEC, state schools with high research dollars.

    I dont think the panel understands the value of Syracuse basketball. They are top 3 in mens basketball budget.

      They still don't make sense in the Big12. That is really an island... probably best in a rebuilt ACC... hopefully not too many of any leave to the Big12

      @@RockandRant1| Gotcha. But even with the current valuation, Cuse basketball is top 3 in the country in revenue generated for men's basketball. Cuse's brand value and market penetration is top tier. They are NYCs top basketball brand..and that's even with resurgence of Seton Hall and Pitino at StJ. Lets not undervalue the the top brand in the top college basketball media market.
      Respectfully.

      @@B12Mafia| Gotcha. Ill have to definitely catch that episode.
      Fans are fans...most cant or willingly chose to overvalue the sports part of "sports business". Being over there in MW/B12 country, its easy to not understand or grasp the financial standing/might of the ACC basketball brands. Individually they are behemoths in college basketball in terms of revenue generated:
      1st Duke ($47.7M)
      2nd Syracuse($35.7M)
      3rd UNC ($33.1M)
      6th Louisville ($28.7M)
      21th UVA($20.4)
      Collectively the ACC dominates as a conference in the landscape of 'sports business" of college basketball. Cuse is only 2nd to the mighty Duke.
      For reference, the top B12 basketball teams in terms of revenue generated is:
      23 TCU ($19.7M)
      24 Baylor ($19.6M)
      30 KU ($17.4M)
      Cuse revenue doubles KU's revenue.
      Respectfully
