I think what makes you special is your expertise and intensive testing. You don't just present a car based on the data, you test it properly. I think an important point is whether a vehicle overheats when you drive it long distances. You can calculate the time yourself very well. I think you should at least test all vehicles to see if they overheat, how long you have to drive depends on the vehicle. That way you wouldn't always have to do a 1000km challenge. Even if I look at every one. I've driven the 500e 42kwh convertible over 1000km in one go, it was no problem. You are the best TH-camr in the field of electric cars, keep up the good work!
I used your link for 30days of ABRP for a 1500 mile holiday in my KONA. After a few days I paid for it! A really nice route planner plus the useful car stats available. I do like the real time status of the chargers you are navigating too. It las learned my driving styles on various road types and is usually spot on with the %s. Worth the small annual fee!
1000km with ABRP is a good idea. Stellantis cars really benefit from it. Stellantis has also released the new e-routes to their cars as an app service. Maybe test that. ABRP vs. e-routes?
no need for 1000km with this car. Bravo for your cool partner. Race is always nice, no need for the 100k cars, more mainstream cars would be nice to race. I hope your channel develop as good as you wish ! You are doing a great job, I thank you a lot for every video ! Many thanks BJÖRN ! We all love your channel.
"Sunday drive" would be nice..."1000 km", only if no fuss to your life. As for ABRP, it would be very good if they could implement trip meters in the App, when using OBD connectivity. That would be quite a bonus for the people that use Chinese cars that don't have proper trip meters, and for you, on the "range test".
@@bjornnyland They could then compare the car's data with phone GPS. I wouldn't say that the GPS in a phone is necessarily better, but it is easier for normal users to have a comparison without having their own test stretch. I always wondered, why you don't use a GPS device to measures distances for 1000 km challenges, would be a perfect "Neinneinneinnein" every time instead of calculating
I think you should do it if you heve a time. This is like your flagship material. When someone is interested in fiat600 there are many revievs, but not so many stress tests. I have learned so much from your videos, but firstly I watched 1k challenges of some "cool EVs".
The 1000km challenge is really the golden standard, and super enjoyable to watch. However maybe for some cars it could be replaced with some 5 hour battery stress test challenge of some sort, to get an estimated 1000 km time.
For me the chill drives are more interesting and representative of an EVs endurance. The 1000km don't really tell me a whole lot as I don't hammer at 10-20 over the limit. I've become an old man without a hat and do +5 at most :P
CarScanner shows many new sensors in Stellantis EV (cell voltage map, motor torque, etc). Stator temperature is interesting during acceleration test or 1000 km.
Do the 500km , and put interpolated data to 1000km section in data sheet (with note 500 to 1000km interpolated) I think result will be similar to Citroen e-Cx
Uno-X's take is 1 NOK/kWh as long the team kept a jersey (Norweigian Jonas Abrahamsen kept the polka dot until yesteday) or a stage win - The price is now back to 3 NOK/kWh. It was the same in Denmark on Uno-X chargers - 1 DKK/kWh, now 2 DKK
Polls are probably a good idea! If you want the result to be representative of likely view counts then it might make sense to make it open on TH-cam. But then it might not work this way because people might not actually watch what they think they want to see. As for this car... I dunno maybe there is some other drive or test you could do that would get more views at this time of year? Pity you can't do a vacation vlog yet... When Axel is bigger of course... But then the car is maybe not big enough for the whole family anyway
How about some content where you plonk some non-EV person in it. If there is such a thing in Norway. I mean someone who’s not had an EV and isn’t familiar with one. Someone with a similar size fossil car. Might be interesting. Show them on first drive, questions, FUD etc. See how they take to it. I like all your stuff though but nice to see you interact with others too. 😊
A video about range test, calculation and Excel comparison with the other Stellantis cars would be fine for me. For new platforms or software updates where the manufacturer for example claims to have reduced cold- or rapidgate, the 1000-km-challenge is more important.
If you go, the E6 passing Stenungsund is reopened again, but personally I prefer the Geilo tour, Banana box and ASMR driving impression videos, they give me much appreciated info 🙏
1000 km challenge would be nice,if it is does not take up too much of your family time. I would also love a proper revisit to the FIAT 500e, your reviews on it were very minimal while it is quite a popular car among the very few in its segment.
Sunday driving to road Funäsdalen-Ljungdalen (Sweden, 400km from Jessheim) , nice "fjellet road". I wanted to go there on my roadtrip but was closed in winter. And during drive maybe some podcast about new work co-partner, future plans about car you maybe want to buy (if any of course), or maybe talk about your nr.1 car, what it should be and why.. just themes for podcast.
What about doing a test where you check how far a car can go by running from from 100% to 20%, charge to 80% and run it down to 20% again? Useful for many as most long distance trips normally require one stop. However, the 1000 km test in my opinion is more thorough and brings out more problems with cars that you test.
I’ve been using the previous version of ABRP for 3 years in my EV and when I came to Norway I used it in the fossil rental car we were given by Hertz as an equivalent to the ID3 I had booked…………….. as the sat nav in the Toyota we got was worse than useless
Will you be testing the Enyaq 85 anytime soon? Going to see the Xpeng G6 and BYD Seal today, and testdrive Enyaq. Currently trying to decide between Enyaq 85 Sportline, Xpeng G6 LR and Polestar 2 MY24 LRSM (slightly used).
I don't care about the 1000km, but i would watch probably ;) The ABRP is realy nice, use it for all the trips. I use a 20€ Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD dongle from Amazon, works like a charm.
Would be cool if you could do a 1000km challenge in the Fiat. Then you could kinda extrapolate that figure to all the other E-CMP SUV cars on this platform (54kWh/154hp) e.g. Jeep Avenger, Alfa Junior (regular version), Peugeot e-2008, e-C4 etc.
I use ABRP in my BMW i3S in conjunction with the app Mi3 and with Apple CarPlay enabled. The Dongle I use is Vgate Icar pro BT3.0/BLE4.0 I use a OBD II Cable with a power switch between the OBD II socket and the Vgate dongle, so I can shut off the Dongle increasing safety against hacking. Everything is completely hidden. A simple way to modernise an older designed car.
Bjørn, I appreciate your honesty and openness and I understand that your mind is towards money since the struggles you've had the past months. But I feel like you are talking about it too much. I watch your videos to know more about how every electric car would work in the real world and which car would be a good match for which type of person. It used to be a lot about that and not about the money (you would earn that anyway by views and promoting stuff). I love the everyday-life videos with the cars, the honest opinions, showing the failures of the car etc. I hope you keep creating content like that!
Too bad you and others don't watch my videos. I have lots of interesting videos in the past where I don't talk about the money. Watch the Soul videos, banana box test and KGM Torres EVX videos for example.
ABRP is great, I've been using it for many years. However, how do I actually set the correct Wh/km for my car? The default seems to be a bit high, but since the setting is for 110 km/h I don't really know the true value. I rarely drive at that speed for a long enough time so I can get true data from my car.
assume this is ~similar to "new generation" peugeot e2008... don't recall how much new was improved... can you share link to your video that test a car similar to this? (also curious, how much it is "improved" over 1st gen e2008. assuming I choose between this and a used, old e2008)
I think the 1000km challenges are outdated, because of all the HPC's that are implemented in the whole of Europe. Just came back from a trip to the South of france and its amazing how many there are and being built. For me and many others its not important if it takes 10 or even 13 hours. Its once maybe twice a year, and for me the vacation starts when i'm in the car. I really do like your video's, but its much of the same.
I think that most youtbers find, that if they change their style and type of content, they will loose the interest from viewers. You do you, but if you want to keep doing this for a living, I would be very careful with changing your style and what made you popular.
Interesting with the OBD support om ABRP. But how "safe" is it to push OBD dongles to regular consumers? What about warranty on the car? Can you risk warranty if your non brand OBD dongle brick the car.
Take it on a trip between Norwegian cities - Oslo to Bergen for example? No need for 1000km supremacy, just could you use it for long trips 4 or 5 times a year.
We're more interested in 600e (and 500e) than another big SUV only a few can afford or a bunch of Chinese cars it is questionable to get service for ;)
I'm a little late to comment but please don't do 1000km challenge with fiat 600e since it's a Citroën ec4x underneath the skin which means it would take the same amount of time. If we factor in the babysitting cost plus the low view counts, this challenge would be a loss in revenue. I would recommend to use the weekend to take care of the children and rest. I would like to see a range test and charging test though.
You probably won't go on a 1000 km trip with it. The Fiat 600e is a nice city car with slightly longer distance options. No 1000 km challenge, I think.
Do more popular cars, it’s not the vacations that are responsible for low views, it’s the Chinese cars - most people don’t care that much about them. Do model 3 RWD highland, model Y RWD LR, summer test of ID.7 ect. ect.
This car could have been the typical family car if here in Italy the mentality would have been different. But no, people is still buying the one with petrol engine. And I guess neither abroad this car will be bought that much. 1000 km challenge can be done only because you have a lot of data and it's better to do that because you put in the list another car. That's understandable that it'll be predictable

You should really do the 1000km challenge, different aero profile of other Stellantis cars and also different conditions. It's the only relevant test

Do the 500 km challenge if you can't be away from home / family for 11-12 hours...
7-8 hours max
Maybe focus to get more interesting cars like Porsche Taycan Turbo Gt, Ioniq5N, Citroën eC3 etc
Would like to know how long it takes @120km.h until it gets too hot to charge properly
"Lots of noise without much movement - girls don't like that right?!" LOL Best comment of the day!!!
Yes 1000km challenge this will be popular car it should be done.
ABRP slows down my Pixel a bit so your old phone probably can't handle it well.

Can you check out the new Tesla Vision park assist?
to go back on home screen I think you can achieve it by touching screen with three fingers at same time on Stellantis system.
It is a nice car, but maybe focus on the top potentials. TMY RWD LR will be very interesting for 1000 km.
