Its really funny that you actually permanently banned my other account from your channel, simply because you and I have a different perspective. No offensive insults, no degrading of your work, yet you still banned me :D
How can you call me pretentious, when you actually censor your channel which is meant to engage discussion in the first place? How do you have the audacity to state your opinion, when you just straight up delete another person's?
These alone prove that you aren't a mature person yet.
These discussion videos make no sense if you just straight up throw away anything opposite to your opinion. You should abandon this habit, because arrogance is not a useful trait in the real world.
And trust me, I understand this situation perfectly. Its not the first time someone who got offended by what I said (again for the same reason) permabanned me from their channel, I have experience. You are in the wrong to just do things like this, people who censored free speech in the past used the same thought process as you just now, even if its hard to believe it :D

      @@jakeplayzyt5220 Well, not really :D
I wrote a comment under his "possession is a masterpiece" video, where I called out how its not a genuen critique, because he didn't even bring up a single negative thing about the season.
Then I went on to say most of the ninjago fandom just praises this show, but they don't actually understand how flawed it is in every way possible, and that calling anything in the entire series a "masterpiece" is silly.
He even wrote "I explain why Lego Ninjago Season 5 is brilliant in almost every way" in the description.
And there weren't any bad words in my comment either, it was simply the complete opposite of his perspective. He just disagreed with it a lot.
I simply told him that Ninjago was never a good show from a storytelling perspective, it is only enjoyable if you don't care much about quality, like when we were children.
I also said that he doesn't like the actual show, because then the many, many flaws in it would also be clear to him, but he only loves the "good" parts.
      To which he responded with:
"You sure have a lot to say about a kids show that "was never good". L Take"
The situation is simple really, he loves Ninjago a lot, and I said bad things about it, and so he antagonised and banned me, because he didn't want to see negative comments like this.
Again, what he said proves me right:
"I don’t know what compelled you to make such comments trying to ruin our fun"

I think what made that Garmadon scene hit hard was because the season began with Lloyd having issues with him suddenly leaving him alone, just like most people do when they hear the passing of a loved one. This was done to set up his short reunion with him, a reunion that finally made Lloyd come to terms with who he is and what path he wants to take. It gave Lloyd the closure HE desperately needed from his father's death. And it is only after saying bye to him for the last time, he finally grows into the hero, The Green Ninja WE needed him to be. His anger and frustration felt so real. Then it feels sadder, when you realize that the ex elemental master of wind probably died, that's what made Morro homeless. Also Morro second doubting himself at times, made him feel more realistic. Then his sacrifice was heart breaking. Also this is the 4th best version of weekend whip. My favourite thing about season five was The focus and attention Kai got which was also my favourite part in the season when I was a kid. Kai from the very beginning was treated a bit as a mascot, it felt like he’d be the protagonist and sadly for him that wasn’t the case, so I was glad to have season 5 focus more on how he felt. Don’t get me wrong I love Lloyd (he was one of those questionable childhood cartoon crushes we’ve all had) but kai in comparison to everyone else at that time in the series felt to me like he had received the least care and attention (him and cole too). He didn’t seem like he had any nice dynamics like jay with nya for example or again jay and cole so him having a special brotherhood like connection with lloyd felt amazing. It was the end of an 180 for me, starting with anger frustration and resentment towards lloyd because he “stole” the green ninja title and ending with love protectiveness and genuine care for his friend, to me it feels kind of poetic (?)

After Hands of Time, it very often becomes just the Lloyd and or Company Show. Even in the recent finale, the four original achieve dragon form with Nya just kinda standing there and Lloyd struggling with his Oni side and failing to master it. They keep separating the ninja between groups and makes them feel less like a team. Lloyd gets way too much screen time. Nya almost gives up being a ninja almost immediately after losing her powers. Kai has forgotten the word humility. I feel like Lloyd didn't learn anything in the latest season.

The only thing missing in this season is a scene with kai and lloyd, where lloyd goes to fight morro but kai doesnt want to leave him again, but eventually realizes he has to believe in lloyd. Or something like that, because despite kai having the most fleshed out arc this season, it kinda ends on episode 8 (just like s4 funnily enough)

    • @thezombiestudio2175
      @thezombiestudio2175 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

What we got out of Kai in this season was great. I feel like a lot of people overlook Kai’s real arc in this season to just being “Kai wants to protect Lloyd,” but I feel like this is more of a Master of the Mountain situation where this season defines Kai as a character. I love that Kai wants control over the team to prove himself to Lloyd that he can protect him. He makes impulsive decisions to insure he can for fill that role, even at the cost of the team.
With that being said, I agree more could’ve been done with his arc. Kai and Morro have a really interesting Dynamic. Both of them are trying to prove themselves to Lloyd for opposite reasons that conflict with each other. Although with the context we have from S4, they totally should’ve leaned into the Green ninja obsession. Maybe send Kai off on his own for one episode to further push Morro and Kai’s dynamic. What if Morro found out about Kai’s fear and wants and they fight in the finale.
One more thing, I think instead of Wu giving the reconciliation speech to Morro before his death, it should’ve been Kai. Not that Wu couldn’t be there as well, but it would’ve made for a much more satisfying end to both their arcs.

One of my favorite aspects of Possession was honestly seeing the four ninja interacting with each other, especially in Peak-a-boo, that one has easily some of my favorite moments with them and it's honestly such a wholesome watch at times. Having Lloyd out of commission for most the season meant they could really spend some time on the OG 4's dynamic. It's a little nostalgic in a way.
And the Ghost Whip is such a banger, my non-Ninjago friends often ask me why the music for this Lego cartoon is so good and I just shrug.
Admittedly not the biggest fan of the Cloud Kingdom's concept, but it's iirc never mentioned again after this season (asides from a cameo) so I guess I can let it slide.
Also on cameos, the Chima one got a chuckle out of me.
I never caught Posession on TV back when it was airing so I remember it didn't take me until the movie to find out Nya was one and then I went "Oh, of course they'd make her one." Still, it's pretty well done, same goes with the rest of the season, and Nya was a pretty welcome addition to the team.

As someone who has stopped watching this show every time an episode came out after this season, I think the reason of why I like it so much is how they dealt with morro’s backstory, I feel like for a lot of villains they’re like “I was a friend with wu once, then he betrayed me”,the reason I like Moro so much is because his reason for hating wu is extremely valid, he was homeless and an orphan, but then wu gave him a home, trained him and told him that he’ll be something great when he grows up, then his whole reality shattered when he found out he wasn’t destined to be the green ninja, wu was probably the only person who showed him kindness without wanting something back in his entire life, so wu lying to him just broke him
I still believe that morro is the best written villain in this show, not because he almost defeated the ninjas, not because his powers were phenomenal, no, it was all because of how well written he was

I love possession, it's my second favourite season. I remember watching it, the hype was in another level compared to other seasons at the time.
The villian was one of the most well written ninjago characters . The Nya arc was fantastic. I also really liked Kai and Cole's roles in this season. This season showed how Lloyd really impacted the team and what they'd do without him .
I loved garmdon s story being over and Lloyd finally having to move on .The animatin (at the wil film area) was stunning .The fights between Lloyd and morro were beyond awesome and complete nostalgia to me.I still believe the sound track is the best one Ninjago has ever had on a season.
But the best thing to me is how it expanded the universe of ninjago. The idea of the 16 realms was really creative. I'd love to see it be explored more especially the "death" lore in Ninjago .

This season was one of the last season that actually aired on Cartoon Network without delay or bs. I remember coming back from school around 3:40pm then going to the park for an hour then coming back home at 5pm. Only to turn on my tv and watch Ninjago Possession. I wouldn’t watch it alone. Back then my siblings loved the show as well. Good old days. Masterpiece indeed. I’m a lot older tbh but I still rewatch this show all the time on Netflix.

I like how Kai and Lloyd’s dynamic in the season is kinda an evolution of how it was in season 1. as Kai now has to protect the thing he wanted to be so badly. Season 5 is absolutely my favorite season. The interactions, the arcs that get introduced like ghost!cole (who I would die for. I love him so much), and that when we do see Lloyd, he is fighting for his life. Lloyd is my favorite character just because of his relationship with his dad in the newer seasons, but he was my source of seeing a healthy relationship when Sensei Garmadon was around. Morro is my favorite villain (next to Nadakhan) simply because he is intimidating, insanely powerful, funny, and childish he is. We don’t get to see enough of him and his story since it’s really sad. He suffocated to death trying to prove he was worthy to his master, not just his master, his father. It has such an amazing ending with Lloyd seeing Garmadon which makes me want to cry every time I watch. 100/10 season. I watch it first on my Ninjago rewatches

I know a lot of people got mad about the new designs after season 7, but in my opinion season 8 might be my favorite season (only equal/beat by seasons 4&5) and really season 9 and 10 are great too. But sadly after seasons 8,9,&10 (The Oni Trilogy) new writers and animators took over Ninjago. There are still some seasons made by the new people that are really good (season 13) but it’s definitely different and all in all not as good as when the old directors had it. Please continue the Ninjago story!!!

It remains as one of my favorite seasons for what it does at the beginning and carries throughout the season. Lloyd fighting against the Ninjas in any manner really intrigued me to begin with. Kai making a promise to keep Lloyd safe following Garmedon's sacrifice, and vowing to maintain it even after Morro has possessed him. Morro being revealed as the first elemental master Wu ever taught was a cool reveal. The Ninja overpowered for a good portion of the season by Morro and his ghost allies was cool to see. The Intro theme is a banger. Wu's flaw with teaching Morro is similar to that of Master Shifu's flaw with teaching Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda was a nice story detail that makes Wu a bit more human. Nia's path and character development in this season into becoming the Water Ninja was awesome with both her character and her slow evolution with her skills, and her progression to unlocking her true potential at the end of the season mirrors the progression of the main four ninja in Season 1 who had the same journies with their powers.

Possession was always my favourite season, alongside Hands of Time. Morro proved to be a great villain and posed a real threat to the ninja. Though Lloyd wasn’t depicted enough in the season, I feel like it was worth it because the season focused on each and every ninja’s personal growth in itself. Winds of Change and The Temple of Haunted Hill will always be two of my favourite Ninjago episodes, alongside The Titanium Ninja from season 3 and Out of the Fire and Into the Boiling Sea from season 7. What I really liked in this season was the design - whether it came to the Deepstone Armour of the Ninjas, Wu’s royal look, or even the design of the mechs and the ghosts. Overall, a wonderful season to watch and the prime of Ninjago.

One of my favorite things about this season is the way Morro is like a malevolent mirroring of Kai from Season 1. Kai and Morro have very similar personalities, the only difference is where Kai learned to control his hypercompetitiveness (somewhat, I forget his rivalry with Karlof in Tournament of Elements happened literally the season before this lol) Morro has let it consume him to the point where he's so unpredictable he's somehow scarier than any of the other ghosts. For me the show really peaked here. I had been watching the show since it's revival in 2014, thanks to the word of mouth from friends back in 2012 and 2013 who brought in the lego mini figures, picture books, and encyclopedias, raving on about how good it was. I had watched the first 4 seasons non stop before this one came out and throughout the summer of 2015 the only thing on my mind was Season 5 premiering on CN. The minute I heard that the next season would focus on ghosts, a former pupil of Wu's back for revenge and Lloyd going bad, I was hooked! The Lego sets got me even more hyped, with the dark neon contrast of the ghosts and the creepier atmosphere presented. Even though I kept watching the show after Possession (I stopped with Sons of Garmadon) I still believe Possession hasn't been topped (then again I haven't watched Ninjago consistently since Season 8. That's awesome dude! I knew a little bit what season 5 was going to be before going in and I was so hyped but nothing could have prepared me for what awesomeness lied ahead! I agree that this was the peak of the show for sure! It's come a bit close since then but never been topped! Sadly I didn't see the sets in stores when the season came out but they are really cool and I have some but my goal is to own them all! I'd say SOG and Hunted were close to topping 2015 as the peak of the show but Possession will always have my heart! Glad you are rewatching the show, I hope you have fun and enjoy! Let me know what you think of the newer seasons!

      @NinjagoNostalgic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

Yeah Jay and Zane didn’t get a lot this season and introducing a heaven like realm does complicate things but Jay and Zane did get some standout moments, Jay was really funny this season and Zane’s Pirate voice was one of the best things Ninjago has ever done, cloud kingdom adds intrigue to Ninjago but like I said it does make things more convoluted.

This video sums up my thoughts on Ninjago. For me, The Final Battle is the ending to the original saga. But everything up until S5 was amazing, and this was the perfect place to end the show. Such a phenomenal season.
Everything after was very hot or miss for me. Sky bound was good, but that’s all I can really remember. I know it went on long after that, and that’s great, but that’s just how I see it.
    Great video!

Thanks for the comment! The Final Battle is the OG ending but S5 to me can be considered an ending as well, it's a great season. As for what came after Skybound had a rough start but good ending, Hands of time was alright but The Oni Trilogy was phenomenal! I highly recommend you watch it and if you don't like what you see you can stop there but I promise you it's really good, trust me I had doubts myself but I was proven so wrong,

Morro was one of the best villains of the show and his motivation reminded me a lot of Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda, both were raised by the former masters who saw greatness in them, but I inadvertently fueled their dark ambitions to aspire to greatness thus leading them down a dark path

Morro definitely is up there as one of the best villains, his story is so tragic and in the end you feel for him it doesn't excuse what he did but you can understand why he fell to darkness.

One thing I wish they had done during the season is have a moment were kai realises that morro is pretty much the evil version of him were he let's the fact that he's not the green ninja corrupt him, kai would then try to convince morro that's its fine that he's not the green ninja making him self aware and also angering him leading to him being confused, what kai says to morrow would haunt him but he denies it until the showdown and before he dies he realises who he really is and accepts it. (This season is still a 10/10)

Honestly i found Nya and Ronan 's relationship VERY interesting. They have some sort of banter that no other character has with Ronan. They both teach each other opposite things and it works out for the best. Its crazy how deep this goes. I was even afraid at some point that the writers will decide to make them be together - which thankfully didnt happen

    • @NinjagoNostalgic

Nya and Ronin have a very interesting chemistry together. Also consider that Nya's voice actress said Nya and Ronin would make a good pair and actually wanted them to get together at some point. I feel like their interactions are a very underrated part of Possession! So thank you for pointing that out!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that these screenwriters pulled off LOVECRAFTIAN HORROR TO A T!
No other series do we go from ninja in modern-day, sprawling epic of "good" vs "Evil," Dark cyberpunk, to seedy criminal underbelly TO GODDAMN LOVECRAFTIAN HORROR!
A kids show has NO RIGHT to be this good, with this much lore, character, and development. I've also always loved that there's no "Mustache Twirlers" in this series, outside of like the Overlord, Chen, and Clouse.

Season 5 is absolutely my favorite season (although not exclusively for these reasons.)
Season 5 is one of the only times a show/movie has genuinely scared me. I don't know why, but when I realized Morro would be the one at Nya's secret base (and by extention that Morro could see into Lloyd's memories) i felt a sizeable amount of fear.
Expanding on my point, I loved being able to realize stuff on my own and how detail oriented it is, like how because Morro can see into Lloyd's memories, he knows the fighting styles of the 4 main ninja and beats them easily, but he has a harder time fighting Nya partially because he doesn't know her fighting style as a ninja.
I love the way they characterized Morro, I feel like he really acts his age (15-20)
I could write an essay on why I love this season.
Side note- the toys of this season were Great. I have two of the airjitzu flyers (Morro and Wrayth)and they feel so sturdy. Every time I use one, I'm more worried about putting a dent in the wall than i am breaking the flyer.

i used to hate this season because lloyd wasn't in it, rewatched it, and fell in love with morro's character. A failed ninja who was told to be the chosen hero, only to find out he's nothing in the eyes of a prophecy. Gone to prove himself, he dies (dies! in a kid's show!) and ends up cursed and alone. he takes revenge and seeks for power in a way so cruel it matches how he died, only to realize... something, in the arms of his master, something that leads him to give up, content, and perish for good. and then day of the departed and his redemption AAAA I MISS HIM

    • @NinjagoNostalgic
      @NinjagoNostalgic  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yeah I am a huge Lloyd fan myself so his absence is felt but it definitely serves the greater purpose of the story for him to be gone and the characters to feel lost and scared because of the situation! Morro definitely makes the season and his backstory is really tragic and you gotta feel bad for his character! He is such a haunting villain and I miss him too! I'm glad that he was given not only one satisfying ending for his character but 2 because of Day of the Departed not making him a villain again! I want him to come back but at the same time I don't know if we'd get 3 satisfying endings for his character! Great analysis of his character btw! Couldn't have said it better myself!

I remember I stopped watching Ninjago exactly at Season 5, as a kid it just felt right. There are definitely good things tha came afterwards but the sense of finality I felt from Possession will always stick.
If there was only one main thing I'd change about the season is just a little more focus on Kai would of been nice. With the parallels Morro had to Season 1 Kai, you'd think Kai would've gotten a little more focus. Just a little bit of closure against the two would of been interesting to see.
