Resin Casting Tutorial: Pressure Casting With TC-804 Mothman Cryptid Figurine

In this tutorial we cover the process of pressure casting with TC-804, precision casting resin. This is a tough, hard (75D) casting resin with a 7-8 minute working time. The high impact resistance makes it ideal for thin walled parts such as electronic enclosure prototypes and delicate figurines.
We cast this into a vacuum degassed 5092 silicone mold we made in a previous video.

Great info in this tutorial, Mitch! Nice to mention the safety around pressure vessels and note about moisture in stir sticks. Some folks might also like to know that TC-804 is 1:1 by VOLUME mix ratio. We prefer measuring materials out by weight for best results (100:90 for TC-804 as mentioned in this video); however, we know there are some instances where a volume mix can be used effectively. 👍
