I absolutely love this shoe. Hoka is on fire with this and the Mach 6. I was on the fence about trying the Cielo X1 but now I think I need to.
To me, this sounds like Hoka's version of the SC Trainer v1, so I'd probably like it. Lucky for me that my current SC Trainer (over 300 km) is still going strong, plus I have a new pair waiting, as well as a fairly new pair of v2, which makes that I can patiently wait and see if the price of the Skyward X will become a bit more attractive.
I absolutely loved the SCT v1, but have found the SCT v2 to be disappointing. Soft entry but doesn’t have the same poppy bounce that the v1 has, making it feel squashy. Debating between the Skyward X, Mizuno Neo Vista, or waiting for the SCT v3 to give me the magic I had from the v1.
@@raybadudu787 I agree, the v1 is much, much better. After seeing that 'doctors of running' wrote on their site that the Mizuno Neo Vista is basically the successor to the SC Trainer v1, it's probably more interesting than the Skyward X. Lighter and cheaper (although I don't know the euro pricing yet) than the Hoka. I'm interested to see how the v3 turns out, but New Balance's pricing is way off on their higher end shoes, so it has to be really special for me to consider it.
Comfy shoe and one I struggle to run slow in. Weirdly faster than the Mach 6 for me! I’m a heavier guy so perhaps the plate is a benefit! Love the shoe
I like the way you review and I’m looking at this as I’m not the quickest and getting back into running, on a side note do you have any thoughts on the noosa tri 15. I’ve also subscribed 👍.
Thank you !!
Great review, Skyward X vs Neo Vista?
Wondering the same.
Yes. Neo Vista is $180 and lighter.
It’s also 185 in the uk
Vs Magnify Nitro 2?
How is it a perfect all-rounder if it's only an easy pace shoe?
now that's a good question..
Hello😊 is hoka skyward x for outdoor Walking? is it shoes to wear all day?
running
Too expensive. Hoka sells it for 350 SGD here in Singapore. That's 240 Euros.
Only one colorway available. 😅
One for men, and another one for women if I'm not mistaken
@@timalvado-brette7281 This is almost like Hoka’s intention to release one colorway for each gender to test the waters before releasing more color choices in the future. Let the waiting game commence.
Propel v4 on steroids? 🤔
I don't understand the hype of this shoe. tried it on the store. crazy heavy, I don't think I'd want to take that much weight for a recovery run when my legs are tired. too clunky and stiff, and I'm not sure I even need that much foam anyway. I mean the triumph 20 for example is enough if you want cushion, or brooks ghost max etc.
and the price...
just... no...
Not comparable with the superblast, that's for sure. superblast is way lighter, enough cushion for whatever distance you want to take, can take it slow, easy and some long tempo works, etc.
so, yeah.. won't buy it even for a half price..
Too expensive, even if its the best super trainer out there
