Great video. I bought this today. I wasn't sure but as soon as I tried it, felt so nice. Packs really small. I think the same jacket with synthetic fill does not pack that small and does not feel that nice
Great I hope you’ll like it! I agree the synthethic insulation has a differnet feel to it and doesn’t compress that much either.

Love it. Actually, I have an S size and just order an M size so that if necessary I can use one over the over the other. Find this mode flexible/adaptable to weather than using a single thicker one.
Congratulations that is the stupidest layering idea I have heard in a while.

I have tried the same with Micro Puff (mistake in sizing but didn’t want to return). It didn’t really work as well as I hoped. Yes it’s warmer but not like two times warmer. That being said, I haven’t used them at the same time while active. How did it go for you?

Hi. Sizewise, for me wearing the M over the S works perfectly; in terms of weather protection, can't tell yet... where live is not cold enough to test now. Bought them mostly because of an upcoming trip to Iceland with trekking included next summer - to be on the safe side without too much weight and able to wear the separetely too.
Thank you! The MT500 is a thicker, warmer jacket. Personally I find mor euse of the MT100 then the MT500, so that’s why I never bought one. I have a mountaineering puffy jacket for colder temps and that is when ai use my MT100 as a midlayer.
@@HungaroExplorer I worked for the north face and I get that 69euro is dirt cheap for a decent down jacket, but my point is that it has increased in price by 40% in 3 years, I have never seen any other product jump that much in the same period of time.
That’s a good question. I didn’t use the MT500 because I already have a thicker puffy jacket from another brand. It is definitely a warmer, thicker and heavier jacket. It is more of a standalone jacket, while the MT100 can be used as a midlayer too.
I'm a little disappointed with the jacket to be honest. Even though it's supposed to be 3oz of 800 down, the jacket feels very 'flat' compared other down jacket with the same fill weight (i.e. montbell superior down parka). Not sure if I got a dud, but since the jacket is on sale I cannot return it. Oh well, at least it should work for warmer weather.
For the price it can’t be beat. Mine onky got flatter after couple years of usage. Now if I compare to the new one I got, the orange one (older one) is way flatter. This jacket only keeps you warm on 40s and 50s when it gets colder, you need some other layers under.
@@HungaroExplorer I did a wash and tumble dry cycle and the jacket is significantly fluffier. I guess the new jacket still needs a good clean and rebuffing. Will see how long it will lasts, thanks for the long term ownership perspective!

Great! Not sure if that layering will be effective but give it a try and let me know😀

Just ordered one (same orange color) for $60 off the website. Excited to get it and put it to use.
Great deal! For that money is a steal!
Thanks for the detailed review, placed an order for $60. Sizing recommended going down but based off your review im going with a small.
Great price! I wouldn’t go down a size. I wear Small on most of my clothes and this jacket fits really well os size S.
WOW absolutely Great job, what do you think about mt500 down jacket?

@@HungaroExplorerThanks for the review. I just purchased one on sale here in Australia for $50aud so $35US
@chefgav1 Oh wow, that is way too cheap 😁
I bought one in 2021 for €49 and I love it. Was going to by myself a new one and the price has gone up to €69 which seems excessive
69 euros is not the end of the world for that jacket. Check out some other brands prices, so than you will realize that 69 is a great price 😀

Yes, if you out it that way it sounds expensive. In the us it was $80 and now it is $100, regular price which is only 25% raise haha
Is this the mens version? it looks like its fitted for women
Yes, thisnis men’s version. The women is a bit different.
do you have any issues with feathers shedding from the jacket? thank you
No, I didn’t really have problems with that. Only one place where I got a hole in the jacket I see feathers coming out.
How does this compare to the MT500 jacket?

After watching this review, I want this jacket!!!
I hope it will not disappoint.
Here in India, this same jacket costs just INR1999 which is $24
Wow! That’s a great deal🔥

What is the size of the jacket sir
My jacket is S (Small) Or you are asking about the actual size of the jacket in measurements?
@@HungaroExplorer thanks a lot sir
....and should I buy M size or L ...I am about 5 feet 3 inches ...and chest is around 36 inches
@fazzaahmed6702 my chest is around 36-36 and I am 5’9” and I use S. I would go with S or maybe M, but not L for sure
