As a Singaporean watching this report; I'm wondering - Why is CNA reporting on Palau's relationship with Taiwan. Taiwan IS China. It doesn't help that one of my country's news broadcasting company (CNA) is "promoting" Taiwanese diplomatic relationships with Palau.

The noise-making DPP has been cleverly playing the game very well since the 1990s.
ROC getting near-zero recognition is of no real loss since DPP's basic position is about abolishing the ROC. DPP grudgingly recognized the ROC so as to gain access to the Presidency.
Similarly, the CCP can take Kinmen and Matsu tomorrow and the DPP will not be bothered. These 2 counties are on the mainland side and do not fit into the DPP vision.
