Me and my fiancė both work at chick fil a and I’m strongly considering having them cater. I think it would be something we will both laugh about bc that’s how we met two years ago
If you do, invite me! ☺️ my hubby and I said we were going to have them cater our vow renewal lol between the sandwiches, wraps and salads most people would be happy!
Great tips! Here is what my hubs n I did -Got our attire from department store. My dress was $70 from Nordstrom his Calvin K suit was on sale for $200 -Our catering was from our favorite brunch spot for roughly $400. We had a MASSIVE spread and it was delish -We had shandys and mimosas…got a half case of Prosecco and two cases of beer for roughly $150 -Flowers we’re from the grocery store. Arranged them myself. $75 -Our apt building had a beautifully decorated sunlit meeting room with a gorgeous patio. Free !
@Clara Belmont it was indeed beautiful thank you 🥰 we had both sets of our parents, both of our grandmas, three of our siblings and two of our friends. We had enough food for double that though!
Great tips. I spent less that 5k for our wedding and it was beautiful. We livestreamed the whole thing as well. My wife spent 350 on a custom dress, we went with someone who did cosplay outfits, and it was beautiful. I got a costume tux, which was embordered and really nice, $120. We splurged on the food for 2k, it was a beautiful buffet, with a charcutier before dinner. We had it at our family cottage so venue was free. Did buy 2 10X30 foot tents for 460 all in, although i sold them right after for 300. Renting tables and chairs came to 600. Wedding arch was 150, i constructed this myself. Spent 80$ on 100 roses from costco. My wife made her own bouquet, nicer than anything you would see. 50$ in misc supplies. We spent 650 on our photographers. I did the AV. I did spend 1000 dollars on a nice 4k webcam, and rode wireless mics. My wife did all the invitations. Probably another 600 dollars on misc things. I have it all in a spreadsheet. We had great feedback, we had a themed D&D/Lord of the rings themed wedding. I would rank this against any 20K wedding. You just need to put a little legwork into it.
We just had a wedding and my dress and the restaurant were the most expensive things, I did not hire photographer, host, makeup artist. Our friends did everything for us. The wedding ceremony on the backyard of our beloved parents. We decorated everything ourselves. It was below 5k. I loved the photos and memories.
Great video but just a constructive comment here: I think you need to rethink the music. It’s distractingly hyped. But great info and great voice and lovely overall video.
I have a farmhouse and flower farm. I was wondering if it could be a budget wedding venue. The flowers would be free for the taking . Does anyone think it would be viable ?
Absolutely! That would be a dream venue but of course as long as you have the space. If you do ballpark a headcount you think you can accommodate so that people can figure that in when deciding on booking with you.
I've also been looking into alot of ways to save for a wedding. And me and my s.o came to the realization that there are alot of things we don't absolutely need. And you'd be surprised about how much you can save by cutting out the little things or just doing stuff yourself! I've planned so many party's, and dollar tree and craft stores have always been my first go to! I even made a backdrop out of pvc and got some walmart curtains and had a cute little photo area!
Just got engaged. We’re eloping in 8wks after finishing SYMBIS (our church’s pre-marital advising course), then honeymooning in Vegas with a trip we got on sale ($150 round trip tix, $300 for 3 nights in a 5star hotel). I LOVE musicals and he’s really into fantasy football, so we’re going to see a show and get on an NFL game in a swanky bar, plus a couples massage at a great spa, and both high and low dining destinations we’ve been listing after online. Mostly, we’re going to dress very nice and create post cards of ourselves having fun as announcement cards. Then, in February we’re taking a cruise after the holidays because for the price we CAN! lol By the time we have a “wedding”, we’ll be married for about a year and all the pressure will be dissolved. It’s mostly a gift to our family to participate in our relationship all together, so I don’t plan on spending very much
We did everything. The wedding mass was 1500. We got a tiered cake for cutting at Sam's club for 75 and a $300 strawberry shortcake from a bakery for serving. I made italian food (meatballs, Chicken parm, pasta, Chicken Brocoli and ziti, caprese skewers, Cheese sticks wrapped in Proscuitto and salami, cheese and crackers, salads and loaves of French bread) our uncle Was our Dj. We had it in a Knights of Columbus hall. We even had relatives who brought alcohol and there was a self service bar. It was beautiful, intimate, fun and best of all; cheap.
I went to different counties websites to see where they held county meetings and found a few places that they also hold weddings for under about 1000$ for outdoor ceremony, indoor reception and table and chairs all all included
My boyfriend and I had our first kiss and date at a Chick-fil-A so Chick-fil-A is definitely going to be the food! We are doing a pickup instead of delivery and it cut the cost significantly as well
I'm having my reception in the church gardens, it's got enough space for my guests and my food truck. I couldn't afford a videographer with having paid for catering. My whole wedding totalled £3,500 ($4551) including my dress! Dress cost £250( $320)
Idea: Ask a friend to video you walking down the aisle, vows , first kiss. Then at the reception group/photos to remember guests and of course the cake. My husband is a great photographer and took photos of the wedding etc., as our gift to the bride and groom.
I found a public park pavilion venue that can host sixty people for $50.00 (plus $100.00 deposit) for four hours. It's in NJ called the LaGrande Park Pavilion in Fanwood, NJ. I am seriously considering that along with boxed gourmet local supermarket catering. There's also a multipurpose building you can rent for $1,000 that can hold one hundred twenty people in the same park. (That's a little more civilized than park benches in an open air pavilion.)
Thank you for making this! This gives us a few more ideas on how to save for our wedding! Also some more things that we're doing - we're making a playlist on a computer, so no need for a DJ. Average cost last time I checked was $1200. We're also having family members make the cake, and can I just say... SHEIN EVERYTHING. $2 bouquets and really nice and affordable dresses and shoes. I'm glad you mentioned canva, I just found them today for cheap wedding invitations but didn't know what else they had to offer!
Is your husband a physical therapist by any chance? I am and have the same PT Exam prep books haha. Also planning a wedding early next year - thanks for the tips!
Lovely wedding budget tips thanks!! We are getting married June 4, 2022. Our budget is between 3K-5K. We already reserved a beautiful public park with ponds and horses. I believe the most money in the wedding will be clothing. We have a big family also. We are doing rustic style wedding with a BBQ reception. Half of our family is meat eaters half vegan🥴My mom's co worker is a photographer so that cuts down costs also. I'm excited to see how it all works out. New subscriber ❤️
Yay, that's exciting, congrats!! Having a low budget CAN be hard, but honestly, I had a lot of fun getting creative and finding deals. It sounds like you are putting together a great wedding plan! Best of luck 🙌
My wedding is also on that date! My budget (and have stuck to it) is $4550. Have got everything from dress to rings to even the honeymoon included in that. Have been extremely frugal but catering cost the most. We booked a Mexican food truck for $7 per guest. Food trucks seem to be the way to go for a garden party reception
My parents had BBQ for theirs (bonus their friend owned the business and it was his wedding gift), I always thought that would be fun, plus maybe have close friends and family make large batches of side dishes to bring.
Anyone can get married for free. Just go into any courtroom at the end of the calendar. Ask the bailiff to give a note to the judge asking if he will officiate their wedding. 99% of the time a judge will be thrilled to. You can invite all your friends and get married right there in the judge’s courtroom. That’s what I did 40 years ago. We’re still happily married, and our only expense was treating the judge to a nice dinner right after. It’s crazy to spend a fortune on a fancy wedding. Save the money for buying furniture.

My fiancé and I are trying to get this under 5k$ in 4 months! This is super helpful! Thank you!!
Girl me too! Wedding in October hoping under 5k how’s it going for u so far?

Great advice. I will do it in church easy busy

Just reading your comment. Hope all is well. Congrats on your day this weekend.
the backgropund music is really distracting i dont even know what you said :(
I definitely appreciate the feedback!
@@thirtyeightinvesting Loved the video but agree it was distracting maybe have it lower or even no music.
Great video!😍
I did get some very pretty flowers off of Amazon for 50% off for my daughter's wedding. Saved me a fortune. Thank you for more great tips!!
That's awesome!! There are great opportunities to save, if you're willing to look for them!🙌
My parents had BBQ for theirs (bonus their friend owned the business and it was his wedding gift), I always thought that would be fun, plus maybe have close friends and family make large batches of side dishes to bring.
Too bad Hob Lob only does floral 40% now! =(
Interested in knowing more about decor 😃
I’m planning my sisters wedding and my goal is to not go over $250 for the whole wedding 😂
I’ll update y’all to see if I did it
Same. I believe you dont wait for the test to study🤝🏾😍😍
Thank You for the tips from Fiji
Like it all except for stealing someone’s designs on Etsy and just reprinting them. Artists work hard too!!
But if they paid for it surely it isn't stolen (?) or??
I live 15 min away from the Mexico border I am renting my dress for 100 max
We all love Chick-fil-A. ❤️ ❤️
Nice info but the music is too loud.
Fb market is a savior for dresses
Damn. What a bad time to be an atheist 😂 I don’t want a church wedding but they do look convenient
I know, man, my fiance and I are in the same boat.
It's a building with 4 walls and a roof. Unless the church has a requirement, what's the difference? I mean no disrespect, just curious.
I believe most churches want you to be a member, practicing somewhere else, or will be practicing post-wedding.
Buy a 1000.00 high quality cappuccino machine and stop wasting your money on Starbucks.
Pays for itself in one year . Or less
My son is thinking Chik fil A. Also!,
Women like you… Ha! I’m a dad looking for ideas for my daughters wedding, after all who typically pays the bill? 😜

It’s about the experience. Courtroom is dark, ugly and no fun. Why not make it the best if you are getting married . Effort
