Best Rule for Budgeting is 50/50............spend 50 percent invest 50%.........The worst Pandemic in history and is ongoing like Cancer is Consumption......Your Vaccine is to reduce your Consumption......but start simple, if your at 90 Consumption/10 Savings........for the next month, go 85/15, the next month go 80/20....(and at no stage go anywhere near your savings, even if you a critically ill).....Your Warchest is growing.......and keep this going, maybe when you get to 70/30 this may take 6 months to get to 65/35..........But the key to wealth is not saving.......you need to move from being a saver to being an investor....

Somewhat helpful, except the percents should add up to 100% and what you have does not. If you plan based on this, you will spend more than you want.

Anyone can get married for free. Just go into any courtroom at the end of the calendar. Ask the bailiff to give a note to the judge asking if he will officiate their wedding. 99% of the time a judge will be thrilled to. You can invite all your friends and get married right there in the judge’s courtroom. That’s what I did 40 years ago. We’re still happily married, and our only expense was treating the judge to a nice dinner right after. It’s crazy to spend a fortune on a fancy wedding. Save the money for buying furniture.

My boyfriend and I had our first kiss and date at a Chick-fil-A so Chick-fil-A is definitely going to be the food! We are doing a pickup instead of delivery and it cut the cost significantly as well

We did everything. The wedding mass was 1500. We got a tiered cake for cutting at Sam's club for 75 and a $300 strawberry shortcake from a bakery for serving. I made italian food (meatballs, Chicken parm, pasta, Chicken Brocoli and ziti, caprese skewers, Cheese sticks wrapped in Proscuitto and salami, cheese and crackers, salads and loaves of French bread) our uncle Was our Dj. We had it in a Knights of Columbus hall. We even had relatives who brought alcohol and there was a self service bar. It was beautiful, intimate, fun and best of all; cheap.

If your needs are 70% of your net earnings, then either you're very underpaid or living above your means. Do you really "need" that 40K car with a $770/month payment for the next 72 months?(15K in interest over the life of the loan!!) Probably not. Ideally you will want to get to a space where you debts are minimal (only your mortgage/rent) and you're doing the 50/30/20 as -- 50% Saving / Investments 30% Needs 20% Wants/Fun Stuff
