It definitely is more special than a Urus. Here in LA I see at least one Urus on that road almost every day (and I see two or more in a day way more often than many would think). I've seen so many Uruses on the road, when I see one now I almost treat it like any other regular luxury SUV.
However, I've only seen one Aston Martin DBX so far. If I were to get a high performance SUV, it'd most likely be the DBX 707.

Coolest Quirk of the video are those slick license "plates" that Aston Newport seems to have. Looks like an E-Ink screen they can program with the temp registration, or have it in a display mode. Not about the car, but I think it's neat that the dealer is using the digital e-ink license plates on their vehicles. They advertise the dealership until a car goes on a test drive at which point they change it to show dealer plates. Better than having to prop a plate in the back window or risk scratching the paint with the magnet backed plate. Only legal in a few states, but kind of neat to see.

That’s exactly the problem I have with these cars. HPs went to stratosphere yet speed limits stay the same and traffic laws are stricter than ever. Plus, car makers have to compensate this ridiculous power bump with all sorts of electronic and mechanical systems that aid the car and prevent you from doing stupid shit ending up in disconnecting driver from the road. What you end up with is that you don’t enjoy driving this car as much as your Mustang even at 3x power

@@MrManBuzz Well yes and no. Personally I hate when they make everything touch controlled. Sure it looks nice, but buttons just works better when you use them while driving. (Most companies also do that because it's cheaper to slap a screen on the dash. Instead of spending a lot of money on design and layout of buttons)
And I would probably go for something else, if I wanted the car to drive for me. But that's just my opinion. 😊
I do however agree with the fact that it is a bit dated. They should have touch control on the few things they do have on the screen.

I have not been a fan of the current generation of Aston Martins for some time; mainly due to the amount of Mercedes components in them that just stop these cars being an "Aston Martin" to me. And yes I know a lot of the older Astons had Ford, Mazda, Jaguar and Citroën components in them but they had just enough style and substance to keep them an "Aston Martin".
But this DBX 707...I love it! They've tipped the balance enough to make me feel this car is more Aston Martin than Mercedes...and I don't even like SUV's!

Have you considered doing a POV camera for the drive portion.. seeing nothing but your face the entire time doesn’t really do much for the viewing experience

Most people don't realize the reason why the hood/bonnet release is in the passenger side footwell is because traditionally in the old days of cross-country GT racing, you would always have a passenger to act as navigator and mechanic. If an issue with the engine came up while driving, you would pull over and say something like "oh bugger, the engine is boiling....Jeeves, be a good man and check under the bonnet, will you?". And that's why the hood release is on the passenger side. From what I understand it's also reversed on the right hand drive models too for that very reason.... it's just an old British tradition. Sort of like how Porsche carries on the old racing tradition of placing the ignition key on the left side of the steering wheel, so you could hop in and start up with your left hand, while quickly slamming it into 1st gear with your right hand.
