Then someone suggested I see this video is somehow it would convince me he wasn't terrible so I watched it and then left the appropriate comment again. Ever since I found this version, I do not listen to the original anymore. The things he did with his voice in this version are beyond brilliant. This version is darker than the original and I love it!!

It's a full step down most likely because he can't hit them notes he used to be able to hit when he was younger. The same thing happened to me with songs I wrote. it's sucks coz its not the right key but lucky enough this version is probably better.

Seeing the passion and pain in his eyes when singing this song and hearing the breaks and softness of his voice at some points in this song just hit me hard, it's not something you see in the original (though there is a lot of passion in the original). I feel like this version shows the weaker side of the feelings behind the song all the way through and dAmn it hurt just seeing that in his face :'( this is beautiful, and honestly it needs more views.

30 seconds are such a rear treat to the music world for my generation I'm Jared's age and I was introduced to them by rage A beautiful lie , from the moment I heard it I knew there and then that something very special had just entered our world. I mean like foo fighters special I knew they were going to bring something new to the music industry and they certainly did. I played the album I went straight out to buy for my wife and she was just as hooked instantly. This band is the olympas of Rock and they are not going anywhere. I love every album but it hurts me to say I just don't get the new album. I hate the fact that people don’t take them seriously as a band. I love them so much and it’s performances like this that they should see and give tgem a second chance.
I know it’s probably because people now love and obsess over shitty rap remix’s that are about drugs, prostitution, money, and guns, that they kind of forgot about real music like this band, this kind of music shows true emotion and has good quality of sound in it

He'd already played a lead role in Requiem For A Dream by then as well as several supporting roles in a bunch of films. Dude even got hacked up in American Psycho.
I genuinely don't like the guy, he seems like a total weirdo these days but maybe that was always who he was. Can't fault him on everything though. He's a skilled guy even if he is a crackpot.

Chills man, just chills. And the crowd, it's almost like they were engineered in. They sound great themselves, and how it all came together. I also liked how his demeanor was throughout, even in the beginning when he looked across at the crowd just taking it in.

He has such an incredibly clear voice, every note you can hear. Some credit goes to his sound guy of course. The female version of such a clear voice is Alison Krauss. Both are amazing singers.

Every time I hear this particular song… takes me right back to the Taste of Chaos Tour in… 06? Maybe ‘07. Knew the other bands but went to see them. Smaller venue and I’m a couple people back from the barricade on the floor. He is standing on the barricade directly above me and leans forward using my hand to brace himself up while belting out the chorus 😭. Changed my life 😂
