Matt, he is 72 years old. Those 15-hour days wear you down. NIL, the portal, and everything else has changed football for better or worse. It isn't getting any easier. And what does he have left to prove? As a Tennessee fan, I have nothing but respect for Coach Saban. Never be another one like him. But I figured him buying the home in Jupiter Fla was a damned good clue he was close to hanging up his spurs. Like all of us, he has a family, and I'm sure he would like to spend some time with them. I promise that when you get older, you will understand fully. Bama has had a list of hires to replace him for a while. Stop fretting. Congrats to coach Saban and enjoy every minute of your retirement, sir.

Im not offended however . I'd be the same way tbh if I had to watch another team win championships constantly while my school didn't. I can give you many many reasons on why he's possibly the greatest coach ever, but I don't have enough space and you will argue either way bc you're sick of Bama winning constantly and a Bama hater. One main aspect that shows how amazing Saban was, is how he could keep winning EVERY season, in the toughest division in college football, with his coaches leaving every year. Many coaches fail when this happens. Look how Dabo fell apart the year his defense and offense coordinators left. There's not enough room to write the great traits of Saban. Also look at the next possible best coach in college currently in Kirby Smart... he learned under Saban, and look at what he's doing now. Alabama was a great program with Nick Saban but he wasn't the only or even the primary cause of the success. There is a culture of greatness there that will persist.
