You ought to do a video of the Rusk State Railroad in Rusk TX. This time of year they have the Polar Express. The railroad is a 30 mile excursion between Rusk and Palestine TX where they used to ship supplies by rail to the Penitentiary in the late 1800's later the the state mental hospital until the 1970's when it was converted to a tourist attraction by the Texas Parks and Recreation where movies like Kenny Rogers' The Gambler, various westerns starring Sam Elliot and other famous stars throughout the decades. The movie starring Denzel Washington The Great Debaters used the excursion in the movie. It has a very interesting history that I believe your viewers would enjoy that I would be happy to accompany you and give what history I know of the railroad.
At 14:08 You've never seen this happen before... Nether have they! Oh well, looks like it was taken in stride. I work in a Union Pacific train yard we have one of those turn tables too. Would love to see it work. Kinda got to see this one. as kids our dad took us to The Illinois Railway museum. Love that place. Train museums are always a great place to go. Learn about trains mixed with history. Great choice Jordan thanks!
I’ve been on that train many times before. If you ever can, try to go during the weekends. They run their steam locomotives on the weekends and it’s quite an experience.
Hi Jordan when I moved to Houston we drove through and I wanted to ride the Choo Choo and my Mother, RIP, said it wasn’t real, Ty for the ride, I’m sure she was watching🤗🥰🐾😎 My brother-in-law had a joke that said”pardon me boys is that the cat who chewed the new shoes” you had to be there lol Enjoyed this Ty Jordan 🐈⬛
Hello Jordan! How interesting and what beautiful country with a little excitement thrown in - Wow! I would love to go on a train ride like that, hold the excitement, though. LOL. Have a great day Jordan. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
Hi Jordan, so glad you got to experience this..why not enjoy what you want while you can. Thank you for taking us alone to experience this with you.👍💯% ❤👏👏👏. I've always loved trains. My mom would tell us long before we were born, how she would take the train from Georgia to New York, and New Jersey to visit her father and aunts. How she slept in one of the compartments with a bunk. She would close off the curtain when it was bed time. Those stories excited me. Where close by where her grandparents lived above the rise the train went by. It still does, there's still trains that run all down macon. It was the Norfolk line. It's nice to know people can still experience a part of History. To enjoy and learn a bit of History is just Awesome. Jordan, you keep showing us Amazing things.showing us what you are experiencing and learning. You share this with us. Your Channel is just Amazing. My sister shared this vlog with me. Yes I was subscribed long before her. Yet she at times act like I'm not a subscriber. Life is short, so many things are changing. If you get the chance just do it. Don't put it off. You may never get another chance. I'm so glad to have experienced this, because you took us along. I know some was a bit to hear. If I want to experience this. I just have quit putting things off, making excuses. Just make plans and do it. Seeing it through Jordan eyes is Awesome. Just imagine how fun it would be to experience this on my own, take those I love along. Again Thanks Jordan. This shows us how much you love us, want us to experience this with you. Lion hearts, if you can please support Jordan. So he can continue to take us along these Amazing Journeys with him and Jah. God Bless. Take care, and continue to live your life Jordan.👍✊✌🕯💕🌻🌷🙌. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita james. 🙂👋 take time out to smell the Rose's, feel the grass beneath your feet. Feel the warmth of the sun. Just Breathe.🙂🤗💕👌. Nj.
Wow - when the turnstile gave way, it really brought home the size and weight of those amazing machines. Thank goodness no one was hurt. Still, what a civilized way to travel. Really enjoyed this train ride and what beautiful countryside. Many thanks Jordan.
How fantastic that you were in Chattanooga just this past week!!! On Sunday there was a wonderful memorial service at The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium for Leslie Jordan, who was born and raised in Chattanooga! It was open to public. There is a lot of interesting history in Chattanooga! Welcome!!😊
Hahaha, I bet the too conductors standing in the control booth when it derailed had a heart flutter moment 😬,but it made for good content 😄. The actual tour ride was awesome got to see some old trains, scenery, buildings the works, fantastic vlog.
wow this was very awesome a train ride !!! sorry that happened was looking forward to watching that moment when that happened ( bet they felt embarressed but oh well first time for everything ). hope they get it fixed . thanks Jordan stay safe. !!!
That was scary fun to watch❣️Thanks Jordan, job well done. Thanks for your sacrifices with the heights, crossing over bridges, etc. Glad you made it back safe. ❤️🙏🏻
Hi Jordan, what a lovely scenic train journey, I haven't been on one of these old train rides in years. It's funny, you forget all the old squeaks and sounds you used to hear, not like the trains now. Great vlog Jordan.
Lovely train ride. We have old train rides here in Old Town, Sacramento. There is a lovely train museum there too. They are having their "Polar Express" train ride for Christmas time. The Christmas tree is up too in Old Town I think the train you were on for the ride back could use some oil. It's a bit creaky. lol. Glad you back Safley. Take care.
Awesome vlog. Took a train ride with my Scout Troup from Tempe to Glendale AZ. It was fun. I want to ride the Grand Canyon Railway next. TFS a wonderful bit of nostalgia.
I’ve been on this ride like 10,000 times cus this is where I live maybe we will run into each other but never in my career have I seen that happen anywhere or there
If you ever visit Kentucky Jordan stop in Bardstown for a similar train ride that take you through the back roads and you will see whiskey distilleries and other points of interest. The town is beautiful they have carriage rides, old cemetery's, a 1790's old tavern & eatery, and an old fashioned drug store to get an old fashioned burger & malt. The town has many old home & buildings to view.
We actually live maybe ten minutes from the TN Valley RR Museum and have always wanted to do their dinner train! They do a train to the North Pole at Christmas too!
Thank you Jordan! I love trains 🚂 I even have a special Christmas tree of nothing but Lionel train ornaments. I grew up hearing them and my dad worked in mining so trains were prevalent in my childhood. I have been here before. You covered this so well. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
That was a really good video Jordan. Keep up the great work. If you are interested in aircrafts, I'd like to see you make a video at the Grissom Aeroplex museum up on Grissom reserve base up by peru indiana. It's the home of the 434th refueling wing jet and they also have one of the fighter jets from the movie Top Gun. They also have a bunch more planes and jets and helicopters. Really cool place to go.
When I was a kid we would ride the "EL Capitan" from LA to Chicago. Change stations, get on The Chesapeake and Ohio to Charleston WV. Chicago train yard round house was amazing to see, many turn tables at one time!!! Yikes 😳 never saw one break! You vibrate for about 2 days after get off a cross country train ride!!! 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Jordan you should do a segment on and find Martha Rayes old home in Beverly Hills and tell her story of being an Army colonel who served in Vietnam as a nurse. She has a fascinating story
Awesome video! Several years ago I took the train from the Eastern Panhandle of WV to Chicago, Illinois. The food was amazing in the dining car. I have been obsessed with trains since a small child. After this video, you are now the Huell Howser of the east coast! Keep up the awesome work my friend.
Jordan, did you make the train do that? LOL. What a nice, relaxing video. I hope you will one day visit the Cuyahoga Valley Train. They have a few restored art deco cars.
Thank you for another wonderful video! Your last one in Ohio was such an encouragement! You never know in life where you’ll end up. Funny thing about planning ahead is it almost never works that way. Life’s definitely an adventure!! 👍🏻😊
Well, that's something you don't see everyday. 😀 Wow...!! I love hearing about the history of the railroad and trains. Chattanooga is a pretty place to visit. Thank you Jordan for taking us along.
"Hey, boss! Engine number 710 is stuck on the turntable!' "Go ahead and use the engine that makes that annoying, grating scraping noise." Ah, well. No one appeared to be hurt and fascinating video, Jordan, as always."
We live in Chattanooga.. Our Daughter and her Husband came for a visit a few months ago, and my Husband took them there.. He brought me back a wonderful cinnamon roll, and a coffee cup!.. They enjoyed it!.. Hope you did, too!.. Thank You!!
😳 wow.. Glad you made it back safely, the train back sounded very rickety. I used to love to take the Amtrak from Los Angeles to San Diego, coastal ride. I think they stopped that route for now because of land shifting.
Good video. Question: were the announcements that muffled, or was that how they talk over there? I was down that way in the 1990's and saw the diesel engine #777 from the one Harrison Ford movie; that the train hits the prison bus and he escapes.
Such a Cool Episode Jordan
Thank You so Much 💯⭐️
I kept anticipating that Jim Parsons would show up as Sheldon 😎

I've always loved your channels variety but you've just raised that bar. Never saw a derailment before! Thank you Jordan!

I live near to this, about 7-8 miles. last time we rode we had an old steam engine pulling the train.
I’ve been on that train many times before. If you ever can, try to go during the weekends. They run their steam locomotives on the weekends and it’s quite an experience.
That was a nice red Honda crx
Only through Jordan, we get to see a derailment. Welcome back to Tennessee! Thanks bud!
You should do a filming location of the house from the sitcom yes dear

14:07 I don’t think the turntable derailed, it looks like the operator shack came lose from the turntable
Hahaha, I bet the too conductors standing in the control booth when it derailed had a heart flutter moment 😬,but it made for good content 😄. The actual tour ride was awesome got to see some old trains, scenery, buildings the works, fantastic vlog.
A little update, asked a few friends I have at the railroad. Ring rail wasn’t anchored, and shifted causing it do come off. Was fixed the next morning
I have been here many many times. Did not know you were in my hometown.

Former US Army 1829.

Lovely ❤. I’m a big fan of train travel. Take Amtrak when I can for the slow pace and the landscape. Thanks Jordan.
What locomotive took the train after the 710
Well, at least it wasn't click bait but are you sure you had nothing to do with the derailment, Jordan. : 0
What a fun vlog! Thanks for sharing!
"Hey, boss! Engine number 710 is stuck on the turntable!'
"Go ahead and use the engine that makes that annoying, grating scraping noise."
Ah, well. No one appeared to be hurt and fascinating video, Jordan, as always."
14:07 And then there was trouble.
This was awesome Jordan! Great train ride and so many old fashioned trains. That stinks that it fell off the track.
