I am definitely getting this. Both the flatening and laying out the corner joints was not only time consuming, but whenever I made errors it was in that area. I don't cut my own stuff (yet) and every time I sent it out ($$$) I would get back parts with errors. Sometimes, I got the thickness allowances at corners wrong, or others the notching didn't line up like I though it was going to. I was projecting 2d images in SU, then exporting screen prints to CorelDraw, then scaling to create the vector cutting files. This extension solves all of those issues and more. Great!
good to see there is some thinking about supporting laser cutters/engravers. besides refinements you identified, there needs to be an easy way to get desired geometries to an svg for import into Lightburn.
When adding the box cut profile, I need to add 0.1mm clearance to each joint otherwise they won't fit together. Does this tool allow you to do that? Or do you have to do it manually on every single section?
Hi Tyson..nice video. I have a diode laser and am interested in being able to design in Sketchup using the the Eneroth extension? What is the lowest level plan that is needed to do this? Much appreciated,
The plugin is great, but unfortunately as for now unfold tool changes components' axes zero points so some components end up upside down, e.g. mirrored ones become the same as original ones.

use ABF plugin Convert Component to Group, Add Label, than nesting, export DXF and print stamp label

Did you ever find out the answer to that?

love this saves so much time will be using with my 5x10 pro cnc router from show saber
would be awesome if that added dogbones for router cnc with an adjustable size of the hole
Love it! I'm thinking this will work great for my Ender 3 S1 Pro with the laser attachment!
Looks very cool Tyson, thanks for sharing.
really cool and many thanks for showing here!!!! Very useful

hi realy realy good extention and about some part come in orange and not cut its ok you use trim in solid tools 😏
Thanks Tyson!
I should have seen this eariler 😢
Why the heck cant it resolve the whole box! so frustrating!
Flip it up side down and you will get good 2 side cut
If it is for laser cutting, the parts can touch, it saves material, time, energy and laser wear.
Plus the laser kerf automatically gives you the joint clearances you need.
Alguien sabe por que le hace esos dientes a cada pieza?
Any good for su 2017?
nice video thanks
Show🇧🇷 it was experiment for bigger pieces
