It's so incredible to see you and still a sense of appreciation in your child for other living creatures. Not to mention very good skills when working with birds! It's nice to see this in our day and age
Had a Sun Conure (Chili) when I was younger. Loved, loved that bird. Lost him unexpected and broke my heart. Almost 15 years later (my husband never got rid of the cage) we decided our lives could handle another bird. This time we got a Turquoise Green Cheek Conure (Jewel). We love her and are enjoying the love she has. ❤ Thank you for all the information you give. Continue what you do!
LOVE LOVE LOVE to the BirdTricks crew! ❤ Your vids helped our family make the right choice for our first (and only) bird. A local store tried to hard sell us a Sun Conure. . . without telling us how loud they are. Thx to watching as many of your videos as we could, we decided on a GCC instead, found a local rescue, and adopted Kola a month ago. He’s a perfect fit for our family! Your videos continue to guide us. He’s an anxious, not-very-adventurous little dude. So we’re learning how to build his comfort level and confidence with new people, places & things. And your Tiny Toys are his favourites (he’s not a big player, but he’s learning!) My background is with horses - I knew nothing previously about working with birds. Your principles & philosophy of how your work with your birds, as prey animals, are so closely aligned with how I’ve learned to work with horses. It’s comfortingly familiar & has empowered us with belief that we can confidently help Kola have a long, healthy, fully enriched life. THANK YOU!
We have a a Yellow-sided Green Cheek named Sushi. We rescued her from a very bad situation when she was just 4 weeks old. I had to hand feed her until she started showing interest in the veggie chop. She is snuggle bug and loves the occasional fruit treat (she goes crazy for a blueberry). I love how much personality GC have!
👋🏼from Maui!🌈 We have a 🍍 GCC hatched in Hawai'i. His leg band has 'Aloha' engraved on it 💚💛🧡❤💙🥰 We named him Pono, which is in Hawaiian & means "do what's right", because when we saw him in the pet store several times--our 💔! We had to bring him home! He is now a member of our family, not just a "pet". 🌈🌴🦜💜
Its great to see Capri with the conures even though shes afraid! Im trying to get my friends and family to stop being afraid of my babies. I have a jenday and a green cheek and i just want people to love them like me!
I have a 5 month old Turquoise Green Cheek and I absolutely love her. Her name is Divyae (pronounced Divia which means "Magic" in Hindi) She's quiet enough to be in an apartment. Loves to swing upside down like a bat, lays on her back and throws balls around. She knows how to flip over my finger, play fetch, basket ball, magnet, spin, wave, go upside down and go on her back in my palm. She also snuggles under my chin and will stay there as long as I let her.
I have two green cheeks, Kody and Jax. I've had an amazon, macaw, parakeet, cockatiels and lovebirds. Green cheeks are my absolute favorite!!! They have BIG personalities in a little package. They just warm my heart. ❤❤❤
I find the color of the sun conure is gorgeous, but I fell for a green cheek and her name is Sherbet nicknamed Sherbie. I do agree she isn’t as loud as our cockatiel was. But she is super sweet and a cuddle baby ❤
We named our Sun Conure “Savage” for her ability to casually blow out your eardrums. Savage’s temperament is definitely more consistent than our green cheeks. Our GC names are West, Reggae, Palette, Clover, Salem and Cilantro.
You guys are a beautiful family. I was pleasantly surprised to see your packaging is so beautiful and even includes capri. I appreciate all that you do!
My wife was the bird person in our relationship we have had several cockatiels at a time. We currently have 3 and we love them, One of our friends asked us to watch their Green Cheek Conure when they went on vacation, and I think they hadn't realized how much time and attention they need. Several months later we had gotten really attached to the little guy his name is Kiwi. Now I am forever changed and think im officially in love with these animals Kiwi had alot of stress and anxiety before us and his feathers show it. He had been passed from family to family so we spend alot of time with him and your videos are helping me train him (and myself) Thank you for all that you do to educate people on these magical creatures.
hey, i know that this video was posted awhile ago but im getting a baby green cheek conure named Gizmo in two weeks and your channel has really helped me out because this is going to be my fist bird that ive ever owned.
I definitely have experience with green cheeks being harder to read than some other birds I've seen. My GC, Link, sometimes has very obvious body language, especially when he's in his cage, and other times he attacks the hand he's perched on for no apparent reason that I've been able to notice. He also only enjoys safflower seeds as treats, which I thought was interesting!
I love the size of sun conures, but the noise is really too much for me. I have 2 green cheek conures and I love them with all my heart 💙 but, I’m also really happy with my bronzewinged pionus because I really need a calm bird to destress from the conures 🤣 Also I love to see you pause and listen to Capri when she wants to say something, eventho she only talks about color. 💙
I fostered two adorable GCCs who went to their forever home in August. Their names were Tone, who was turquoise, and Ekko, who was pineapple. They were such well-behaved birds who loved to just chill on my shoulders and get scratches and treats. They went to a wonderful family and I couldn't be happier.
Love this! Conure species compared to each other is very interesting. I've thought about bringing home a green cheek, but my sun conure is enough sass for me! She's wonderful. Embarrassingly enough, her name is Capri. And yes... because of your videos. In fact, I believe your Capri has seen my Capri say her name. 😀Love you guys!
I absolutely love this video with you and your daughter. My yellowsided green cheek conure, her name is Squirt. And she was named after the baby sea turtle (squirt) in Saving Nemo. I love green cheeks for there over the top personalities, crazy Antix, and t-rex sized attitudes. 😋
Our pineapple greencheek Jasper just joined our flock of budgies Ginger and Juniper, my partner loves the nature theme and verbal sound of greeting the fluffs. Jasper being a baby really helped her integrate with the flock; Gin pretends shes just a giant budgie and Jun wishes she didn't try to cuddle, haha.
Hey, this is Bob in Connecticut. I bought my. Sun Conure from a private breeder for $500. His name is storm.. he sleeps in empty boxes that I throw up above my cabinets. My green cheek is my best friend. I bought him about 10 years ago at Petco.. his name is Spidey. He sleeps on the top shelf of the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. He is with me most of the time I do not cage any of the birds. He flies over to me every morning on my pillow because he wants to play.. anyway, I love watching your videos. They are totally awesome. How you adore your birds.
My favorite conure is the Green Cheek! I just gained a new pet bird, and he is a Cinnamon colored Green Cheek. I bought him from a friend who breeds a variety of birds and hand feeds his baby parrots. I am in LOVE with this little bird! It’s been less than a week since he came into my home and heart. I was about to name him Peaches, then my son suggested Cinnabon, so that name stuck.i really enjoy and learn lots from your videos. Your daughter is adorable and very smart!
Wow, I never realized how much larger sun conures were than green cheeks. I thought they were both the same size. And it’s super interesting to hear you say that green cheeks are harder to read! Would love a video about green cheek body language before you return Olivia, if possible. I have a yellow sided green cheek named James 😊 Don’t underestimate them though! Suns might be overall louder, but green cheeks can still definitely deafen you if they want!
Sing to them , Capri 🎶 🎼If you’re happy and you know it flap your wings If you’re happy and you know it flap your wings If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it If you’re happy and you know it flap your wings , tweet tweet! “ Birds can’t be mean when you’re singing to them 😊
This was awesome! I have 6 budgies and they all happily eat the Birdtricks seasonal and they love their pellets, Smokey, Blue Byrd, Tattoo, (Chicken) Nugget, Rainbow and Lotus. Tattoo had a lot of major behavioral issues we worked very hard to get thru, I’m pretty sure she believes she is not an actual budgie but a conure, she really has come a long ways 💕 I’m thrilled that I’m a proud mom of our newest addition a high red pineapple gcc and I’m absolutely obsessed with my sweet sassy little Hurdy Gurdy Birdie! 💕😻🌹💕❤️🕊I feel so lucky to have her and she loves kisses and scritches and she’s already responding to her target training! I’m keeping in touch with her breeder. It was hard to choose but ultimately she chose me… I asked all the birds “would you like to be my Hurdy Gurdy Birdie?” One bird I almost chose, but when I asked him he had a reaction and it was so funny bc it was like he really responded to the question with a “Hell no, you look cool but I ain’t no Hurdy Gurdy” lol Then, she stepped forward to check me out as if to say “I’m interested in this Hurdy Gurdy Birdie that you speak of” and there it was ❤️🌹❤️ Still got work to do on her diet but I did make what feels a breakthrough on that today. Wishing everyone happy birding’s
We have a male sun conure named Rufus. He is super playful and absolutely the best bird ever. He's so spoiled and loves attention, but being he's our only pet, we thoroughly enjoy him. We decided on a sun conure after hearing that green cheeks are more prone to choosing favorites than sun conures, although I'm not sure if that's true. Rufus seems to like everyone in our family, so I am still very happy with our choice of getting a sun conure.
Not done watching but Jamie you have such a responsible daughter, Capri is so nice , see trains birds, your whole family and flock, I admire everyone and everything, now Im going to finish watching!!!!,♥️👍👍🤣😇
Loved this video!! We have a green cheek conure named Loki, a parakeet named Lucy and on Saturday we are getting a white faced pearl cockatiel and I've named him Kevin. :)
Love the video and couldn’t agree more on the noise level! I love conures so much but I’m partial to the quieter green cheeks. As a matter of fact, I’ve got an adopted turquoise GCC named Samba bc she likes to dance when she’s not being a cuddle monster 😆
I have 2 green cheeks, a hypoxantha and yellow sided turquoise, they’re so quiet most of the time, but my Patagonian conure she’s so loud 😆 My blue crown can be loud too but luckily most of the time he’s quiet ❤️
Capri is getting so big! The sun conures colors are so beautiful! However, the sound would be too much for me. So, my preference is my yellow sided green cheek conure! His name is Mango and thanks to your seasonal feeding system and pellets he is nice and healthy!
I have two Green Cheek Conures their names are Kiki and Star 💚 We also have a budgie named Josey and she is super cute as well! My one Conure is super talkative and can scream pretty loud where the other is very soft and quiet. They are joys to own though and I am happy to see the Conure content!
I have two green cheek conures, a turquoise female, named River, and a cinnamon male, named Harley, but I have friends with sun conures. Besides the noise level being a deterrent with the sun conures, I think the fact that the green cheeks are smaller makes less intimidating for people as far as making them easier to handle, and less afraid of their nips because they have smaller beaks. I also have two cockatiels, named Honey and Grey, and I must say they are the most chill birds being laid back and just wanting to hang out, but conures are more entertaining with their antics by loving to fly around acrobatically, get into mischief exploring, hanging upside down, and being generally fun to watch. I love all my birds and appreciate their differences. Thanks for all you do for the bird community!
I have a yellow-sided green cheek named Nugget. She's really chill compared to olivia, at least while on me, from what I see. Nugget tends to kinda sit and cuddle or play with hair, while I notice Olivia is kinda tapping your shoulder and playing around in place, which Nugget does do, but mainly when shes on a cage or on a flat surface. I wish I can show you a picture, so Capri can see a conure with a black beak and pinkish feet
Really love these videos and the channel. I miss having birds as companions. I’d love to have another in my life but my living situation will not allow it. Roommate has a cat the other is deathly allergic to birds. Maybe one day but it’ll have to wait. Thank you for the education it’s definitely helpful!
Our sun conure is named Yoshi and our rescued Pineapple Green Cheek is Knottie. Both have similar personalities (cuddly, love attention). Knottie used to bite chunks out of our skin and still will if she’s upset. She also will chase off the other animals. They are afraid of her. Yoshi is still a baby but he doesn’t bite. Even when upset. He screams instead because he knows that will get our attention without resorting to biting. Only other time he screams is going up or down the stairs or flock calling when we aren’t nearby.
I have a pineapple green cheek named Safflower Jack. (I call him Saffie Jack.) He is 6 months old this month. He is a very sweet bird and likes to preen my smaller birds (Budgie and Linnie). I always supervise him with the smaller birds and have taught him to be very gentle with them. He is a very "busy" bird -- he needs a lot of foraging toys and a large cage with rope perches and tents to climb on and hide in. He likes to go down inside my shirts but never makes holes in them the way my parrotlet did. He says his name and "Whatcha doin'?" all the time. His voice is softer than either my Budgie's or my Linnie's. Really an ideal companion bird. The sun conures are beautiful but too loud for me.
Green cheeks are in the pyrrhura genus. The breeder I got my first GCC from told me that they’re the quiet conure family. They’re much quieter than my cockatiel and suns and Jendays. Harder to read body language was spot on! My current GCC is good at hiding what she’s feeling until she acts on her emotions. My GCCs have also not had the vocabulary other parrots have had in my flock.
Oh, I have three green cheeks! I have two 13-year old Pineapple Green Cheek siblings named Snuggles and Cuddles, and a one-year old Red Factor Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure named Spark. After a slow introduction, the siblings and Spark get along really well - they're their own flock! I love Sun Conures too and would love one someday, but it is that noise level that's stopped me from getting one. I've worked with them at a local shelter, and their screams when on my shoulder have made my ears ring. Green cheeks also, I guess, show their mood more by body language, at least based on what you were saying. By watching them, I'm able to tell if they're happy, relaxed, excited, scared, or even angry (they vocalize too, but their body language tells all). Tell Capri that Green Cheek Conure beak/foot color depends on their color variation. If they're darker in color (ex. wild, yellow sided, red factor yellow sided, turquoise), they have the darker beak and feet, but if they're lighter in color (ex. cinnamon, pineapple, turquoise pineapple, turquoise cinnamon). The one exception to this would be the American dilutes, which have lighter colors, but a darker beak and feet. Great video! It was fun to watch!
Blueberry the bully!💙 I have a green cheek named Frankie my husband wanted a Sun but I didn't wanted the noise. Frankie tends to talk way more then he screams thanks to your information on the subject! I noticed when Lily got on your shoulder with Olivia, Olivia started showing she was upset. They tap their beak when they get mad. I notice a lot of people encourage that also thinking it's cute. Great video!!❤️
I got a lavender parakeet when I was 13. She passed away when I was away at college, broke my heart (probably why she died too, a broken heart from being separated from me) 😭😭 She was unbelievably amazing. Best bird I’ve ever been around. Got 2 more in my early 30’s, one after the other, but they never warmed up to us, always super fearful, tried everything known to man to help them, to no avail. I’ve always wanted a sun conure…or any conure, really. 🥰🥰 Maybe someday….
Winter here is cold, so our young sun conure Cheech lives down my top. Alas, she has destroyed all my zips and chewed holes in most of my t-shirts! I'm on to her now though. I pin a string of wooden beads from my top and that keeps her busy. My motto for parrots, Busy beak, Happy parrot.
We have a Pineapple Greencheek, Goldie. Loves to cuddle and he is very playful, still a baby(10months). We've had him since he was 4weeks old. Our kids love him to bits.
I have 2 sun conures and 1 green cheek Son Cunures names: Sunny and KissKiss Green Cheek name: Loki The sun conures are louder. The green cheek turn out to be a genius. The green cheek has a pretty large vocabulary. He even knows what words means. He asked for food. He knows poop-ie means going to the bathroom and tells before going too Lol love all 3! On a side note. We love your channel been watching for years!
Hello girls. Thank you very much for the videos. I learned a lot. I adopted a Green cheek Conure not long ago. She's my first pet. And I wanted to know more about themso I started looking your video which I found very interested. Thank you again and God bless you guys.
I can tell these 2 are going to be inseparable when she gets older I can already tell they're gonna have a really really deep mommy and daughter bond Her mom's teaching her the business And doing an amazing job That's something so wonderful that she's doing for her When she grows up she's gonna have the best job ever just like her parents thanks to her mother taking the time out I wish I had a bond with my mom like that And I also wish I had a daughter I love my son to pieces but I love little girls so much I have a little girl shitzu poodle I can't stop kissing her she's so freaking cute I'm obsessed lol Those 2 are so cute I always love when her daughters in the videos with her she's so patient with her And nurturing Somehow I can tell oshe didn't have the best childhood (AlthoughI could be wrong} and she's really putting a lot of effort into her daughter I feel that I guess because I had the same situation
I have two green cheeks. I adopted Lola 13 years ago when she was 5 yrs old. She is a standard color mutation, mostly green with maroon belly and tail and black beak. She is pretty quiet for the most part. I adopted Leo from the Humane Society a year and a half ago. They didn't know how old he was, but I think he was very, very young (a year or less). He is a pineapple and extremely vocal! While they both get along with each other for the most part, Lola is pretty darn patient with Leo. He can be a handful for such a young whippersnapper!
Just want to say that your videos are what inspired me to be a bird parent. I've been subscribed to your channel for at least 2 years now and since then I have adopted a Sun (Pita) and a Maroon Bellied green cheek (Ruby). Al the differences you mentioned are spot on. I may also add that our green cheek (female) is a little more moody and nippy. Is that normal? Pita (male) on the other hand, is a love bug.
I have had greencheeks (Mickey Minnie) & a sun conure (Ellie). One difference I've noticed is that the greencheeks will work together to get out of the cage & are very inquisitive. 💕
I have never had a conures before, i have had love birds, budgies, canaries... the conures are so different with their personalities they are very intrusive with some things but they are very amusing to watch interact with they are also very smart and enjoy their humans interaction as they talk to them, spend that one on one time with them as they are flying around or just sitting around the home as they land on you or around them.
We have a Sun conure - Remmy, a turquoise green cheek - Fiona, two parakeets - Lavender and Peanut, a parrotlet - Misty, a canary wing - Olive, and the old man is an English budgie - Little Hawk. My favorite is my bourke parakeet - Bilbo.
I have 2 sun conures, i cant hear myself talk, thats how loud it gets. They are both male Chillie and Salsa. I got a green cheek conures for my sister in law and was surprised how quiet the little guy was. They also have a very cute chirp very different to the sun conure. I love Chillie and Salsa coz they have their oqn unique personalities and keep me entertained. Thanks for the cute video with all your children (birdies and daughter, super cute)
Sun conures are beautiful. Really stunning but I wouldn't be able to deal with the noise. Haha. I love Berry. Always trying to show the others who is boss. 😂
Your videos have been so helpful with every aspect of owning birds so thank you. I have 2 gcc one being a turquoise named Skye and the other Clover. I also have a Sunday conure named Phoenix
My green cheek is insane. She's our only pet so very spoiled. The amount of noise those little things make is incredible. Especially when she doesn't get her way.
I have hypercacusis disability, super sensitive hearing, and I have had a green cheek conure before, but I have always wanted to have a sun conure because of their gorgeous colors. I have to have ear plugs to go everywhere with them, but I am almost willing to overcome the noise by getting gun headphones. Going to be living in a house and going to have all medium free flight bird room, but only one sun conure. The rest will be, one baby ringneck parakeet blue, 2 Quaker parrots, one cockatiel baby or adult bird that's as far as it goes, possibly 2 zebra finches. That's it all flying for 18 hours together in a room.
My wife and I just got a green cheek two weeks ago, we named her Kiwi. Of course the pet store sold us the nuts and grains as the food source since that is what they were feeding her. We find it interesting how she will not like one of us one day and then the next we are her best friend and the other isn't, lol.
Green cheeks are all little napoleons.. I have yet to meet one that wont latch on like a pitt-bull with zero warning.. Most conures will give you a warning nibble with pressure before going in for the full chomp.. I adopted a green cheek who had 5 owners in her first year of life.. She was a real terror and a broken soul from mistreatment and losing all of her owners.. It took her 2 full years before she realized I was different and she started being handleable.. 10 years later she became a real member of our flock and family and stopped with the bad behaviors altogether.. She would have a crowd of people taking turns handling her anytime i took her out on the flight harness.. Sadly I had a raccoon break in through a window and eat her alive in front of my 20 year old sun conure who was her mate for almost a decade.. I still miss her daily.. she was such a nice bird that i saved from a hard life and slowly earned her trust over many years.. losing her was devastating.
My turquoise green cheeks name is Pixel Alexander. He’s 1 yr and we’re struggling with attitude right now. When I got him as a baby, he was clipped. He’s now fully flighted and believes he is boss. We target train, station, and teach tricks, but he still feels the need to charge and bite, seemingly for no reason😞. He has a sleep cage in a quiet room and gets 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep, has a huge cage, fresh veggies, topps pellets, and lots of toys. I love him to pieces and wish I could recognize his body language before he charges and bites.
We have a "cinnamon" green cheek named Paco. He was almost called Pepper, because he looked like a little green Chile pepper with a hint of red on his belly in the shape of a heart when we first got him three years ago. Paco for some reason fit more and it stuck instead. His nickname is Pooky. Love the video! I too love to see a child instilled with an appreciation of living creatures who cares about caring for them!
My baby is a Pinapple Greencheek named "AppleJack". We we named her this because of her coloring resembling the cereal and my daughter's favorite "My Little Pony" is "AppleJack". Since "Stranger Things" on Netflix has come out, there is even more to love about her name because one of the character's nick name is "Lady Applejack".🙂
Hello fellow flockers!! I have an original GCC named Elwood Moss and I love when he gets 'pissed' especially with toy and perch rotation. He mumbles and mutters and I can't help but laugh. He sounds like Joe Pesci in home alone when he's irritated after all the mayhem he's endured. And as for vocalization. He actually says quite a bit. Wanna step up, go eat your food, can I have kiss, thank you, rock n roll, pretty bird, yea right and a$$hole which he only heard me say once. Now just about every morning that's my wake up call lol. Then of course the mimicking of noises. Love you guys stay safe happy and healthy. I love my pissed off tye dyed chicken!!
I have 1 yellow sided Green Cheek Conure, Yoyo Beaker, who I had since he was 3 months old. He will turn 12 years old in January. Love him to death! I do love GCCs from their noise level but also how cuddly, loving, all around wonderful he is. Compared to my baby Black Headed Caique, Popeye Packers, Yoyo is an angel! He does have his moodiness and based on so long of time i had him, I can quickly read his behavior signs, but that took time and you have to be quick. my husband did learn pretty fast with Yoyo when he began taking care of him and we moved in together after we got married. But out of all the parrots I have come in contact with, learned about, etc. Green Cheeks are still my #1 bird to have, own, and recommend to others who are dead set in having a parrot and have little experience with them. of course, I always encourage them to do research and babysit birds before taking one on.
Watching this 48hrs before I pick up my mint green cheek conure - Nitro ❤ my first bird was a cherry headed conure named Opal..unfortunately she was stolen and sold and it shattered me. It only took me 7yrs to surpass my trauma and grief to get another bird and I'm on an emotional roller coaster 🥹🥹 just know that once I pick up my boy, he's not leaving my sight 😭😂 no seriously.
I have a pineapple green cheek conure her name is Ireland. She is fiesty. She is a bully lol. She bites a lot but she is very smart she has a pretty good vocabulary. She's about 2 years old. She is very vocal and screams most of the day. I've noticed if she makes a horrible scream I've never heard before I'll automatically look at her and that becomes her favorite scream for the day. She is a lot of fun as well and very cuddly. My daughter has a jenday conure her name is Sonya. She is very loud. Probably about 5 years old. She is calmer than my bird. Mine is very active and playful. Oh I wanted to mention that I do use your pellets for Ireland and she loves them. The only pellet she will eat. She's small and has no trouble with the size. I saw you mentioned some bird owners are worried about the size. They break easily and my bird loves them. Thanks for the fun video.
I have a pineapple green cheek named Ciri (Cirilla). I absolutely love her personality. She's so eager to please and loves her training sessions. I would like to get to know a sun conure though. Absolutely stunning birds.
Our pineapple is named Pico! They are quieter, but can make some noises. I actually got ours to talk a bit. He used to be nice to all 4 of us and now he is starting to bite! Hard! Especially the kids. We've gone back to training, and hope he mellows out soon. He's 1 1/2 yrs old.
Love watching other Sun Conures... I have one as well and his name is Sunney... wondering how long did it take for all the feathers to finally come in because Sunney seems to be getting new feathers and I've already had him for almost 10 years now... thanks for any feedback.
Our Green Cheek has a darker beak and legs, so the variety of colors is much higher with them. We named ours Sassy or şımarık as our Turkish name. Just easier for us to say Sassy though. Sassy does get very vocal when they see something they don't like, or when trying to get attention.
We have green cheek (Sasha). He / She is 8 and fun to have. We got him when he was 3 month and he talks. Not much but a few words. Loves my younger daughter. Does not like my older daughter. Doesn’t like yellow gloves 🧤. Today I saw sun concur and really thinking to add him to our family. But the noise level everyone is talking about worries me. I also want to make sure he will mix with our existing “family “ Sasha and a small dog (Yorkshire). Loved your video 👍🏻🙂
I have both, Finn ( or better known as Birdie) is a very loud Sun Conure and Esmeralda or Ezzie a green cheek. Finn loves pets and readily gives kisses, loves to crawl in my robe and snuggle. I have to be careful handling him because he starts with raised butt or hormonal behaviors frequently. Ezzie is a rescue, was with a flock of Quaker Parrots and did not get along. She’s very aggressive, hand shy, and very distructive, shreds anything and bites. She’s beginning to trust me and is now letting me pet her
I had a Sun Conure once. His name was George. He was snuggly, funny, and talked a bit. He truly was too loud for me. I'd pick a GCC if I wanted another Conure. You guys do a fabulous job teaching us how to give our birds the best life. 🐦🦜
And your Tiny Toys are his favourites (he’s not a big player, but he’s learning!)
My background is with horses - I knew nothing previously about working with birds. Your principles & philosophy of how your work with your birds, as prey animals, are so closely aligned with how I’ve learned to work with horses. It’s comfortingly familiar & has empowered us with belief that we can confidently help Kola have a long, healthy, fully enriched life.
THANK YOU!
THIS IS SO CUTE YAY
Blueberry is such a character 💙 gotta love parakeets
Such sassiness in such a little body!
you can't have a favorite when the bird picks you. my little green cheek named delta is fearless yet love's her cuddles
His leg band has 'Aloha' engraved on it 💚💛🧡❤💙🥰
We named him Pono, which is in Hawaiian & means "do what's right", because when we saw him in the pet store several times--our 💔!
We had to bring him home! He is now a member of our family, not just a "pet". 🌈🌴🦜💜
Those two little birds are adorable!! 😍
Aw, my green cheek sounds just like yours, except she's so loud I think she will get me kicked out of my apartment!
Your kids are going to cherish those memories when they’re older
We named our Sun Conure “Savage” for her ability to casually blow out your eardrums. Savage’s temperament is definitely more consistent than our green cheeks. Our GC names are West, Reggae, Palette, Clover, Salem and Cilantro.
Thanks for all the hard work you do! You never fail to inspire me 😊
Awe! Thank you! 🥰
The sun conures are so gorgeous! But that little green cheek is so snuggly!❤
😂 birds doing sacrificial dances! Perfect descriptor.
I love the size of sun conures, but the noise is really too much for me. I have 2 green cheek conures and I love them with all my heart 💙 but, I’m also really happy with my bronzewinged pionus because I really need a calm bird to destress from the conures 🤣
Also I love to see you pause and listen to Capri when she wants to say something, eventho she only talks about color. 💙
We love the baby conures. Thankyou for sharing this valuable information!! 👽
So, as a sun conure parent... are you deaf yet? 😅 I've been longing for a sun conure for years now but they're said to be unbearably noisy.
It took me almost 9 years to really learn my greencheek's body language. She's very particular.
Oh how applicable. My son and I were just discussing about these two birds as he wants a green cheek. Will watch.
I have a nine months old, female green cheek pineapple conure and I love her. She is so much fun and funny.
Wow, I never realized how much larger sun conures were than green cheeks. I thought they were both the same size. And it’s super interesting to hear you say that green cheeks are harder to read! Would love a video about green cheek body language before you return Olivia, if possible.
I have a yellow sided green cheek named James 😊
Don’t underestimate them though! Suns might be overall louder, but green cheeks can still definitely deafen you if they want!
I really like your channel.. i train my Sunconure all your trainings now my parrots Freeflight outdoor. Thank you 💕🙏 Thanks a lot 🙏
Sing to them , Capri 🎶
🎼If you’re happy and you know it flap your wings
If you’re happy and you know it flap your wings
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it
If you’re happy and you know it flap your wings , tweet tweet! “
Birds can’t be mean when you’re singing to them 😊
This was awesome!
Love my Green Cheeks! They are so sweet.
Love the video and couldn’t agree more on the noise level! I love conures so much but I’m partial to the quieter green cheeks. As a matter of fact, I’ve got an adopted turquoise GCC named Samba bc she likes to dance when she’s not being a cuddle monster 😆
I have 2 green cheeks, a hypoxantha and yellow sided turquoise, they’re so quiet most of the time, but my Patagonian conure she’s so loud 😆
My blue crown can be loud too but luckily most of the time he’s quiet ❤️
Capri is getting so big! The sun conures colors are so beautiful! However, the sound would be too much for me. So, my preference is my yellow sided green cheek conure! His name is Mango and thanks to your seasonal feeding system and pellets he is nice and healthy!
I found it very helpful to make my decision on what bird is my best match and I believe it is the green cheek.
Great job, Capri! 💖
I love Blueberry. 💞 Blueberry reminds me of my Misty, (blue budgie) I had when I was your age.
I have a 10 month old green cheek and I named him Chef 👨🍳 because he absolutely loves his chop and always wants go be a part of kitchen activities 😆
Just for the record, a 30 gram difference is an entire dwarf hamster 😂
Ha ha cute ❤️😅
😂😂❤️
I have a pineapple gcc named Chewy! She's an amazing little girl, loves snuggles and training and I'm really enjoying working with her 💖
This video was so cute!!
I have a Gold Cap and a Sun Conure, named Beak and Took, respectively.
I love them to bits
So cute! I have a Senegal parrot named Taz...he matches his name because he does get those birdy blue moods 😆🦜
Wonderful sharing 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Cute baby 💓👍👍❤️👍👍❤️👍👍❤️
I have 2 sun conures and 1 green cheek
Son Cunures names: Sunny and KissKiss
Green Cheek name: Loki
The sun conures are louder. The green cheek turn out to be a genius. The green cheek has a pretty large vocabulary. He even knows what words means. He asked for food. He knows poop-ie means going to the bathroom and tells before going too
Lol love all 3!
I'd pick a sun conure. I love the colors, the size, and the eyes. I think I could live with the noise.
I have a sun conure and his name is Echo! Love seeing these videos!
We have a Sun Conure named Pheonix. He is just bright and full of personality. Prefers me mostly but will cuddle with mom when her hair is down lol.
We just got my mother-in-law 2 green checks named Louis and Vuitton. Which really fits her.
I have had greencheeks (Mickey Minnie) & a sun conure (Ellie). One difference I've noticed is that the greencheeks will work together to get out of the cage & are very inquisitive. 💕
My little green cheek conure is called Cuddles :)
She's adorable and a really cuddly bird.
My green cheek Berri started screaming when you guys opened the door to the other birds 😂
To be honest pineapple conures are just smaller sun conures haha! Great video as usual 😃I have them both and love them equally.
We recently added Queso, an American Diluted Green Cheek Conure to our Budgie flock of Bogey, Daisy and Kiwi. All get along great.
Very cute name, inspired by Tarkan' song? Maybe not, but thats a great song :D
She’s beginning to trust me and is now letting me pet her
My Green Cheek Conure Bebe hands down is definitely the biggest clown and brightening me daily and kisses 😘💕😘💕
I had a Sun Conure once. His name was George. He was snuggly, funny, and talked a bit. He truly was too loud for me. I'd pick a GCC if I wanted another Conure. You guys do a fabulous job teaching us how to give our birds the best life. 🐦🦜
