Latest news about Emma: a few weeks ago André Rieu has made the announcement that Emma will be on tour with him and his orchestra in 2025 as well. And 2 weeks later Emma announced that, thanks to André Rieu, she will have her own show on October 21, 2025, in the Royal Concerthall in Amsterdam. This is a dream Emma has since she has won 'Voice Kids Holland' in 2021. The Royal Concerthall is a monumental theatre in the heart of Amsterdam and it is worldwide in the top 3 as far as acoustics are concerned. Psi, Bella, So pleased to see this reaction go up, and your words are so good, so expressive, and so right, Emma is reaching into areas that were a dream even 12 months ago, her time with Andre over the last 12 months has been so good, in as much as we've seen a significant number of songs with Andre, but also other songs, and what's becoming very visible is that Emma is very much using her time with Andre to learn from the best, they are the cream of the cream, and we're seeing the effect of her exposure to Andre's consummate professionalism, he knows how to put on an incredible show, and how to get the very best from everyone that performs with him. It's clear that Emma is absolutely thriving in that environment, she is very different now to how she was last year, and in that respect, how many 16 year old singers get to star in the same venue on two consecutive weekends, which is what's looking to be the case, Emma will star with the Disney concert on Jan 4, and then a week later, she will star with Andre Rieu in the same venue, the Ziggodome in Amsterdam, if we needed an indication of her meteoric rise to the stars, this is it, and it couldn't happen to a better, nicer and more genuine star than Emma, she is an incredible individual. I'm not going to post a long list of Emma's songs, just one that's relevant, another Disney song, some time ago, she did a home video of a song that meant a lot to her, it's from The Little Mermaid, 'Part of your World', and it's an expression of Ariel's deep burning desire to change her life, to be able to leave the water and walk on land, live a different experience, which is so much a deep desire for Emma, to be able to escape the 22 hours a day tied to her feeding pumps, to be free of the equivalent of boat anchor, to be able even to eat a meal with family or friends, to be able to get away from regular intensely painful tube replacements that she endures without anaesthetic to avoid damage to her voice. Emma has been tied to external feeding pumps since she was 9 months old for 22 hours a day carrying the equivalent of a boat anchor around with her, when she was younger, she had to use a small trolley to move them around, as she couldn't physically carry them, and that resulted in a lot of bullying and verbal abuse from her peers, so much so that she needed professional help to get through that time, now, she is an incredible advocate for people who are disadvantaged. I know from recent social media posts, she still finds the unrelenting daily limitations of tube feeding incredibly hard to cope with at times, despite that she's loving the singing with Andre, which she regards as her therapy. She posted some heart breaking photos and comments from her holiday in Portugal, having to use her wheelchair after a time swimming, even then, at a time when the family were relaxing and enjoying a break away from their normal lives, Emma had no relief, no escape from the mental and physical pain of having to live with the numbing discipline of the 22 hours every day with the pumps attached to her, her ongoing lack of stamina that hugely limits and impacts on her life and desire to be free, and she never talks about the physical pain that so often is a side effect of the failure of her stomach to properly process the contents, or the intense pain of regular tube replacements that she endures without anaesthetic, to avoid the risk of damage to her voice. However, on January 11th she will also be there with Andre Rieu. For this she has the world concerts from next week in South America, some places in Europe (Milan) and the Christmas concerts with Andre in Maastricht. So a busy schedule.... School that also goes in between under the guidance of 3 orchestra members via the world school internet.
