Hi, I am from Japan. I love Bak Kut tech and cook approx. two times a month. Normally, I use a Bak Kut tech seasoning mix and put Japanese radish together.
I chanced upon this stall during Covid and always get food whenever I come to this hawker centre.
Back in the 90’s an ex colleague brought us here to have a meal. His parent own this stall and treated us to a whole table of food. Gotta say their bak kut teh was good. I’m surprised the stall is still here. It’s been so many years. Gonna go down n try one of this day.
Excellent commentary about the meal. Thank you!
thanks greg! looks yummy
Thanks for the recommendation
looks amazing. Great to see a sponsor!
So glad i found your chanel 😍 planning to visit Singapore again soon. Never had the a good pork leg since the famous Old Havelock
Wah now got sponsor liao!! Keep up the good work!
We used to enjoy pork leg at High Street miss those days of SG.
damn d pork trotter looks freaking power, jus d size and color sibei solid sia :D d fei chang also solid, any one dish + rice is already heavenly
Wa piang eh your opening almost gave me a heart attack...
Wahhhhhhhhhhhh looks so marvelicious 🤤
Hello Gregory Leow.
U did manage Usian Bolt's timing in that run.
🤣
@@GregoryLeow no wonder I saw you twice visiting that hawker centre! While running around the lagoon the lor smell always makes me want to head over.... but due to fatty liver I need to control animals protein.
I’ve done quite a bit of research in this area and apparently fatty liver is due to too much carbs and sugars: well.org/healthy-body/fatty-liver/
that is the color braised should be
I prefer this type but a lot of my MY frens prefer the black coloured herb one.
Hi Greg, Han Jia pork leg is very good, one of the best in SG. You might want to try Teck Ghee Food Market (can't remember the stall name) braise Pork leg too. Theirs is a little sweeter, but also pretty good.
That one is apparently v good too!
That pork leg looks hard core!
Yummy 😋
Saw the thumbnail and immediately knew which stall this is
yumm

Get that sponsorship dollar Greg!
Is the pork leg usually served hot or room temperature.
早起的鸟儿有 Ba Kut Teh 吃
Went to have lunch there last week. Had the fatty version of the braised pork leg, felt that is so so only. Eng Kee at amk is much better.
Just curious when this video was taken - it looked rather bare.
In the mornings. East Coast fc is almost completely empty at those times
Looks like you missed a big tree for the forest. There's another stall behind where you're sitting (in the video, a few doors to the right of that '38' signboard) that sells braised duck with rice/porridge, etc. Their name in English is Cheok Kee, but their signboard displays only its Chinese name (作記). It's another of those pioneer food shops that moved from Macpherson to the East Coast Lagoon. This one has a strong and loyal following from their McPherson days, and besides the bak kut teh stall, is the only one that has an after-lunch queue on quiet weekdays (like in the video). Enuff said. Go visit that stall soon in the future, and like me, you'll be torn between bak kut teh and duck rice whenever you lunch at the ECL.
I love Cheok kee! It’s on my to do list too!
@@GregoryLeow Great! I thought you missed that shop.
How to miss. The queue so long. 😆 but East Coast FC very far away for me lah. That’s why I only go there once in a blue moon
I thought the vegetable you have is Mui Chye (梅菜), and not kiam chye (咸菜).
Probably Kiam Chye. Mui Choi I think too expensive for hawkers (but I could be wrong)
Yeah I also thought was mei cai
Surfshark is good.
Ate this a few times, but I find their trotters have a bitter aftertaste which wasn't to my liking.
Agree, had the same aftertaste experience. I suspect it's due to the type/brand of soya sauce used.

O mohamedans! Try some delicious pork!
Very fast
I know
I remembered the braised pork leg fat is more expensive than the non-fat version. I can't justify the premium price as other stalls do not have such exploitation of fat lovers.
You lost weight. I think you should eat more and do more reviews 😅
You shouldnt have left your food un attended at ECP... Those are like vultures...
Is all the food video showing being organic food?
Are the video encouraging people to eat organic food?
Based on the price of organic ingredient, the organic food is tasteless and not much sweetness and flavor.
Should use more approved industrial food chemical to enhance the taste and flavor of organic food.
Can eat more things into the body.
