  • Here are a few tips that we use at the Rans factory to make Cage preparation a bit easier on the S-21. Do these before mating the tail cone to the cage. PLEASE NOTE: We use custom stand-offs on the six tabs that contact the ground to avoid powder coat damage. Do not stand your cage on the bare tabs, use a piece of carpet, rubber mat or other material to isolate.

    Thank you eddie for the tips that you do for everyone. It definitely is a helper when it comes to building for the un experienced people out there. Also save us some time in the long run.

    It would be nice to have the manual sequence follow this sequence.

    Great tip videos. Keep ‘em coming.
    Is the cage tip a new method, or have you always done it like this?

      This is relatively new, maybe the last 4 or 5 Ready-to-fly Aircraft we've made

    Just to confirm, you go ahead with the entire boot cowl at this stage, not just the bottom skin shown in the video, is that correct? And thanks for all these videos, please keep them coming!

    Another question - it looks like you also have the firewall assembled and attached to the cage - I guess this is something else that's suggested before meeting the cage to the tailcone?

      Please view my other video regarding Boot cowl fit up, it explains why it's helpful to fit this up at this stage. It all comes back off for painting though.

      @@edmundgil I don't see a Boot Cowl Fit Up video posted either under your name or under Rans Design account - any chance you have a link to your boot cowl video?

    Hey Eddie, it’s Justin Just wondering how long it takes to build a set of S 20 wings

    • @edmundgil
      @edmundgil  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It takes us about 5-7 days, and about the same for the covering portion, estimate a first time builder to take 10-14 days
