Hi! I’m the author of the Swedish SNES book together with Carl Michael Sahlberg. Jens was interviewed and his old store JP Spel was featured on 4 pages on the book. But he did not write the book itself. 😀
Just wanted to say I got my Pokemon Yellow from your last whatnot stream and I absolutely love it. I felt very fortunate to win the giveaway and as someone who has watched your channel for years I’m thrilled to display it in my collection. So happy for all of your success and can’t wait to watch more. Thank you!
Love this collection! Swedes are really kind people, I've bought a few vintage t-shirts from Swedish sellers and it has always been a great experience.
I dunno why but these videos bring me so much joy watching cause the memories flood back. I can tell you Im clearing my major cards so I can get back all my old 64 games CIB and I think I saw a few I bought today. Thanks again guys love being around!
I love that you mentioned Gameboy Micro going on clearance at Toys R Us. I got mine for $15 on clearance at Gamestop. And there was a sale for two free games with the purchase of a gaming system. So I got Emerald and Fire Red for free. best deal I ever got in my life
I was recently looking at my dads old video games and came across spider man for the Dreamcast. The best part is that it is complete. Thanks for these videos, CATRP crew
Niiiiice. I did some retro game hunting in the Czech Republic last year during a study abroad program. It wasn't exactly easy, I'm gonna post a video chronicling my travels soon. I had an fascinating conversation with the curator of Cibien's Corner, a gaming museam in Prague who was born and raised there. According to him, video games weren't really a thing until the iron curtain fell in the 1990s. And games didn't start selling there for awhile. So when he wanted video games, he and his friends had to go up north and buy them in Germany. So all the video games they played back then were in German.
Penguin and Seals is an extremely rare game there was a video on yt some top 10 list can’t remember sadly but that was in 2013 and back then it was priced at 650$.
Such awesome content. Your videos have inspired me to search for all our old Nintendo stuff. Just found a NES Metroid complete in box. Also found our old Micro complete as well. Keep up the great work!
The story about Nintendo in Sweden is CRAZY! I wonder if there's a translation for the documentary.. 🤔 Basically a dude from the Gothenburg area went to Japan and got an exclusive import deal in the nordic countries (at least Sweden, Norway and Denmark).. Bergsala AB is the company and I think they still have the deal.. There's a huge Mario statue by the highway in Kungsbacka south of Gothenburg where they have their offices..
Penguin and Seal for the NES is a block puzzle game published by Thin Chen Enterprise and Home Entertainment Suppliers. Super fun game for it being released in 1989
So Final Fantasy 3 and Final Fantasy Legend 3(as you displayed in the video at #8) aren’t the same as a heads up. Final Fantasy Legend 3 is on the OG Game Boy. Just a heads up, great video!
Growing up in the Philippines, we had small outlet malls with fake looking games but played the same, my mother working in Hong Kong at the time would also send gameboy games from abroad. My grandma also worked in Hong Kong and when I asked her for some games, I think she got them at some weird street market in Hong Kong. Some of the games she sent me looked like pirated chinese knock-offs. Still worked so no complaints.
Legend of the mystical ninja is so fun! One of my friends growing up had the mystical ninja goemon for the n64 and i always thought it was such a good game i looked for the series for the rest of my existence
I’m trying to find an old super Mario world strategy guide magazine that I got years ago in a grocery store and it wasn’t Nintendo power or Game Pro. It had a grey border around the front of the magazine and was $29.99 back then. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction on where to maybe find a copy? I’ve been searching for months now!! Thanks in advance!! It’s the SNES Mario World btw!
@@robdiaz6543 That is not true. Many consoles have region locking chips or software. Also there are price differences between regions. It is not an issue for gameboy games to play them on different region consoles but you still would have more trouble selling them in the wrong region.
I'm 90% sure that penguin game you guys have never seen inspired the design for the Original Club Penguin!!! All my 2000's homies know about Club Penguin
Many of the stuff sold here looks used or generally played. Considering that they are from Sweden it's likely that they just also happened to collect (NTSC) games themselves aside from their business of dealing in nintendo product. The only product they would be selling would be pal as seen on the pictures. And you also wouldn't really come into contact with fakes by just dealing in nintendo stock.
I just bought a CIB copy of John Madden Football off you this morning to complete my Sega Genesis Madden collection. Thanks for processing it so quickly! Will do business again.
@@gregkareem9824 I have a job and a life. I don't lurk in the comments all day checking to see if someone responded. I only saw this because I came back to the video to rewatch something.
Hey, Love y’all’s videos I’m a collector and I’ve been keeping up with y’all’s videos. I’ve been looking for a 1st Print Legend of Zelda CIB that’s not sealed with the Casette Manual for my personal collection that’s clean. Ive tried to ask in y’all’s WhatNot streams but it’s always so hectic my message always gets buried. Figured I would try to ask here and see if yall have one for sale
Ive been trying not to watch this video for months because i know im going to be overwhelmed with jealousy ..but the nostalgia niccin' has won the battle
Advanced wars was my favorite game I played it everyday on the bus ride to and from school that made me smile so much and have looked for that game for awhile omg that’s so cool
Not a super valuable game but you should try aerobiz supersonic It's a flight company simulator. In my late teens we would sit around drinking playing it for hours. it was a turned based multi player game where you would build you company then turn against you friends at the end bankrupting them.
So a fake came from a legit dealer? Wonder how that happened? Also can you explain what determined it was fake? I'd like to own a legit CIB of Red, Blue, or Yellow someday..but so scary spending that kind of money when there are SO MANY fakes...even coming from a legit Nintendo dealer.

It's not hard to see a fake Pokémon game in Brazil, I never seen a original version of this game here. Nintendo never made a Portuguese version of his games :(
yes, in the 90s during the Supernes era, many NTSC games were also popular in Sweden and sold together with adapter! These games are purchased over the years along with other PAL games! 😊
Just like you man my dad bought our fist snes system at a flea market for 75$ with donkey Kong country 2, Mario world, killer instinct and street fighter 2. Still got the bad boy 😎

The price comps say new/sealed on the price charting clips. I think those are used prices.

When you purchase games from other countries what do you do about region codes?
It’s just a small piece of plastic that kept “region” locked games, we are past that.
