Very good film. I like how openly and freely neighbours talk to each other. In Germany, where I live, everyone grows thick and dense hedges around his property that neighbours can't have a look at them.
What caught my eye was that the neighborhood kids banded together and did a lot of the clean up work, doing good. Not vandalizing or such. The Mrs. at the beginning was sure a nag. But in the end, they lived happily ever after and neighbors invited others over for a outdoor meal, now that the mosquitoes were banished.

This is my favorite one of these. I am laughing so hard...aaaahhhhh the 1950s...the years when keeping your yard nice was something to be competitive about. They fixed their problems, they ain't gross. I seen worse places then that to be honest, there was once a family that lived down my street back at my old house and they where hoarders! You can walk pass their house and see junk on the outside and you can see things inside the house that stack so high it went to the ceiling. What makes it worse is that they had two loving dogs and a cat trapped in that house! When they got their them taken away the dogs and cat had fleas all over them and they haven't had baths or grooming in a long time. The cat died but dogs now live happy and healthy life's with their new familys, but the hoarders had 5 kids that still lived with them. They had two 1 year old twin girls, a 3 and 8 year old boy, and a 14 year old girl the last time I saw them... I'm surprised they didn't got their kids taken away by child services!
