At the gyms some coaches won't teach you to his first. They rather have you work on the bags. I think they should have you work on the footwork and defense first.
I just have three questions: 1 why do you step into the punching range without punching? Would that not make you walk into your opponent's punches. 2 on the ladder drill why do you step with your left to the right first? I know it's done in advanced cases but you are teaching basics here, so pushing off the left foot right foot steps first as you move to the right. This left foot first might be confusing for beginners as they might find themselves crossing feet. 3 the right leg straight as you throw straight right is wrong? Pirog who knocked out Jacobs for WBO middleweight title in Vegas certainly doesn't think so. As you straighten out the right leg when throwing straight right certainly does give you better leverage on the punch especially if you are shorter than your opponent. I on the other hand being 6'7 195lbs cant do that:) but please elaborate! Nice video:) thank you
