Buckshot was the real deal and even in real life
I was in shocked when Charlie Sheen got killed to early in the film.
Seeing Doc last second look at his brother is sad
What was he thinking at that moment and what made him turn back to look at Dick lying dead in the field? I wonder.
@@sbarrow06 For me it’s a look of shock , sadness and reality setting in . He’s shocked because his brother who he’d been living with and growing and learning with in John Tunstalls Camp is now lying on the floor gone and has now realised They’re all at a point of no return

what makes this scene crazy is that in real life he wounded 4 regulators and killed Dick but in this they have him wounding 2 and killing Dick
And to think he only fired from the hip because of his shoulder makes that pretty impressive

The most heartbreaking part of the Buckshot shootout is when the boys leave Richard, and keep looking back. They were thinking, maybe, just maybe he is ok and he will come over that hill. All of them look back multiple times. That’s when I started crying. Every single time! I know that feeling of false hope. Maybe, just maybe it was all a bad dream and everything is ok. That hits me in my tender little heart every time.
I like to see this scene as buckshot taking a 💩 while in a gunfight😂 funny af

@@jackburton6330 in real life the regulators came to arrest him believing he was one of Tunstalls killers. something he denied & since they had already killed other people including sheriff brady he felt if he turned himself in they would have killed him also so he chose to fight to the death killing Dick & wounding 4 others

Apparently this scene is based on a real life event where he actually wounded four of them and killed one of them.
They only have him wounding two in the scene, however.

The real life story gives a bit more context.
Buckshot Roberts was a Texas Ranger, buffalo hunter, frontiersman, and cowboy. By those who knew him, he was usually quiet and secretive who didn't like to talk about his past. But he was also stubborn, lonely, and reputed as a man 'not to upset'. He was in his late 40s, but real seasoned and capable.
The truth was that Roberts didn't come seeking bounty like in the movie here. He sold his ranch and was going to Blazer's Mills to collect a check he hoped was there. He didn't want to participate in the Lincoln County War, and was trying to leave the area. But instead, the Regulators were there eating. One of them (Frank Coe) recognized Roberts and tried to ask him to give up; Roberts refused.
Brewer saw Roberts, grew impatient, and urged some of his Regulators to arrest him. When they approached, that's when the gunfight unfolded.
By the time the fight was done, the damage was that Dick Brewer was killed by shot to the eye, and a mixture of wounds and mild injuries among the other Regulators. They sent a doctor for Roberts and then left town immediately afterward. Roberts died from his wounds the next day, and both he and Brewer got buried at Blazer's Mills.
Say what you will, but the fact that he fought off a bunch of other guns and killed their leader before he himself died speaks well enough to his talent.

@@DeanTheLaughingMann exactly in real life roberts killed dick and wounded 4 other regulators. the belief was that he was one of Tunstalls killers (He was on there list) and the regulators came to arrest him but he refused. it's never been clarified if he was one of the killers or not. I personally don't think so but who knows
