There are quite a few places you'll find the precious Song of Longing for Tara. I'll copy the text into this comment so you can copy / paste it and print it. It was first translated by Lama Yeshe and published in Martin Wilson's In Praise of Tara (unfortunately out of print. There's a beautiful commentary on this prayer with the prayer itself in see chapter 7 of How to Free Your Mind, Tara the Liberator, by Thubten Chodron (and several other books, fortunately).
On Martin Wilson's original clasic, which has countless treasures, we should start a write--in campaign to Wisdom Publications to bring it back! By the witness of the Three Jewels, not just from my mouth but from the depths of my innermost heart and bones, I pray to you morning and evening. Show your blissful face to me, Loving One. Grant me the nectar of your speech.
Great gurus and small gurus cheat us with their made-up teachings, selling Dharma, teaching without comprehension, not observing who is qualified and who is not, being concerned about their own happiness and the eight worldly concerns. Since I can no longer trust friends of this degenerate age, you are my principal guru. Inspire me, Divine Mother, essence of love. Arouse the great power of your compassion and think
of me.
I take refuge in you Tara; like you, no Buddha could ever deceive me. But understanding the odd character of these times, most Buddhas have gone into the bliss of nirvana. Even though they have great compassion, we have no connection. Since for me there are no other deities, you are my principal deity. Bestow realizations upon me, Divine Mother, essence of love. Arouse the great power of your compassion and think of me.
Most Dharma protectors do not show their powers. Tired of those who invoke them, they do not act. Other protectors, lacking insight but proud of their power, may be friendly for a while but will later do me harm. Since I cannot rely on other protectors, you are my principal protector. With divine action, Wisdom Mother, essence of love, arouse the great power of your compassion and think of me.
To ordinary view the names of objects are the same as their meaning. Like this, they produce afflictions and bind us to samsara. When it is time to die, unless I understand the true nature, could a wish-fulfilling gem enable me to carry even a sesame seed with me? Since I do not trust in illusions, you are my real richness. Please grant my desires, Divine Mother, essence of love. Arouse the great power of your compassion and think of me.
I cannot rely on the non-virtuous friends for even a day. They pretend to be close to me and all the while have in mind the opposite. They are friends when they wish it and enemies when they don’t. Since I cannot trust in this kind of friend, you are my best friend. Be close to me, Divine Mother, essence of love. Arouse the great power of your compassion and think of me.
You are my guru, my yidam, my protector, my refuge, my food, my clothes, my possessions, and my friend. Since your divine quality is everything to me, let me spontaneously achieve all that I wish.
Although I am overwhelmed by my habitual, uncontrolled mind, please cut these self-centered thoughts so I will be able to give my body and my life millions of times without difficulty to each sentient being. Inspire me to be able to develop this kind of compassion to benefit all.
Empower me to cut the root of samsara, self-grasping, and to understand the pure doctrine, the most difficult middle way, free from the errors of extremes.
Inspire me to practice as a bodhisattva, turning away from what is worldly, dedicating all my virtues to teaching living beings, never for even one instant thinking of just my own happiness. Let me wish to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all.
Empower me to actualize as much as possible the most subtle vows and to keep them without a careless mind, thus becoming the most perfect bodhisattva.
Outwardly, let me be simple in my practice, while inwardly, actualize the depth of the diamond vehicle with the strong wish to practice the two stages. Inspire me to attain enlightenment quickly for the benefit of all.
Divine Wisdom Mother Tara, you know everything about my life - my ups and downs, my good and bad. Think lovingly of me, my only mother.
I give myself and all who trust in me to you, Divine Wisdom Mother Tara. Being completely open to you, let us be born in the highest pure land. Set me there quickly with no births in between.
May the hook of your compassion and your skillful means transform my mind into Dharma and transform the minds of all beings, whoever they are. They have all been my mother, the mother of one unable to follow the Conqueror’s teachings.
By reciting this prayer three times a day and by remembering the Divine Wisdom Mother Tara, may I and all beings who are connected to me reach whatever pure land we wish.
May the Three Jewels and especially the Divine Wisdom Mother, whose essence is compassion, hold me dear until I reach enlightenment. May I quickly conquer the four negative forces.

Song of Longing for Tara was a praise/practice written by a very great Tibetan teacher,, Lama Lobsang Tenpey Gyaltsen ( born in 1836), so we only really have English and Tibetan. For Sanskrit, the most beautiful Tara praise/prayer would be the 21 Praises to Tara which is a Long Dharani, or the somewhat shorter Dharani from the Tara Sutra. @@BuddhaWeekly Thanks for the information.....Do you know where the text for this series of praises can be had with a word for word Sanskrit to English translation? I like to know in detail linguistically what's going on when I chant something.
With a "grain of salt" as my mother would say, you'll likely have to go to commentaries and various sources. If you go straight to a Sanskrit - English dictionary, you'll get a number of "possible meanings" for everything. One that is reliable but still open to a lot of variation and opinion is www.learnsanskrit.cc/
The problem is that each syllable may have a meaning. The bigger problem is words are not really separated, so the syllables run together, and it becomes challenging to parse the syllables for intended meaning. For instance, if there's an string of syllables that ends in an "S" followed by something like "Mara" it gets totally obliterated, people start chanting the previous syllable ending in an S and the next grouping as "Mara" which means various negative things -- when in fact it was meant to be "Smara" which means something entirely different -- literally "to remember". (One famous Dharani that's published multipled times ended being "mara" when it should have been Smara" for example). So, "grain of salt." Commentaries are better than dictionaries.
Also, single seed syllables may actually represent the Enlightened Buddha (for example Hrih for Amitabha) but when used together with other syllables it can be defined in various ways. For instances Naga can be translated multiple ways. Mara can as well. (If you type in Naga in Google translate for Sanskrit to English you get "country" (which is fairly far away from the intended meaning in Dharanis.
Also, what precedes or follows a negative word (such as Mara) can be vital. For instance, often Phet (or Phat or Pey) follows Mara indicating "cut Mara" or temptations and obscurations.
For Dharanis and Mantras my first stop is always the commentaries that always go with transmitted mantras, Dharanis and Prayers, because the techers explain, in writing, the meaning intended, which can be very nuanced. Hope that helps. In kindness, BW

I am aware of some of the complications that come with translating Sanskrit....it is pretty awful I know...but I feel if I know at least some of the possible meanings of each word and also know how the translation adepts render the texts of these mantras I will have a better feeling for what I am saying when I use them in chanting. It also makes it easier to memorize when you have at least some idea what the words individually mean.

You can find this particular Song in a number of places, with each translation to English very slightly different. I believe Jason Espada quoted the English Translation from Ven Thubten Chodron which you'll find starting on page 103 Thubten Chodron. How to Free Your Mind: Tara the Liberator (p. 103). Kindle Edition. I often use the English translation from Martin Wilson In Praise of Tara because it's chantable (more or less translated as a song with equal beats per line). The version narrated by Jason is the nicest translation as a spoken praise, and I believe it is from the translation by the great Lama Yeshe, who widely taught this praise and is the root teacher of many of todays teachers and students. We do plan to create a "chanted" or sung version of the praise, based on Martin Wilson's translation (with the equal beats) in keeping with the title "Song of Longing for Tara." It was translated by Lama Yeshe, that's all we have, plus the chapter in Martin Wilson's "In Praise of Tara" where he wonderfully translates many Tara prayers and praises, but not always with the original Tibetan. Tara-ma is Gaiia, mother of all forms/sentient beings. All sentient beings are Budha, and there is no Buddha apart from sentient beings
