In her most wrathful black form, the 7th of the 21 Taras, she overcomes every evil, every enemy, obstacle, negativity - and even curses or evil forces.
All Taras protect.
As Black Tara, in her most wrathful form, she tramples and burns them completely so they can never harm us.
Her mantra is among the most powerful of protections:
oṃ tāre tuttāre ture sarva vidyā avarṇā ye bhye phaṭ svahā
ओं तारे तुत्तारे तुरे सर्व विद्या अवर्णा ये भ्ये फट स्वहा ॥

What does the mantra mean? As always, in Sanskrit, the individual vowels have one meaning, and the assembled words carry another meaning, often more than one. Om starts most mantras and represents the body, speech, and mind of Buddha Tara. The syllables Ta and re liberate beings from samsara. Tuttare frees us from our fears. Ture liberates us from disease. Sarva means "every," and vidya means "wisdom" and"intention"; in this context, every wisdom. Bhye Phat is asking Tara to destroy our obstacles or difficulties through her wisdom. Svaha usually translates as "well said" and "so be it."
The overall translation can be: "Homage to the body, speech, and mind of Tara, the saviouress from suffering, our fears and disease, whose wisdom cuts and destroys every obstacle and negativity." This translation is only one interpretation, as individual Sanskrit vowels have many layers of meaning in the context of Buddhism.

Chant it any time you feel threatened, nervous, ill-at-ease, or in need of the nurturing protection of a wrathful mother.
Black Tara is still Mother Tara - just hulked up with power so that she can always protect you.
Chant her mantra ideally 21 times or 108 times, visualizing her as an energetic, black form of Tara.
She is the color and nature of the deep space cosmos, black as a starry night sky.
She can be sitting, standing, or even dancing with energy.
Her whirling fire surrounds you in a protective shield.
As you chant, feel confident in her protection and power.
Notice the vibrations of your chanting.
Concentrate on the powerful syllables.
Although all Buddha's including Tara can emanate in any form, there are two main aspects of Black Tara. In the Atisha or Nyingma lineages she appears seated similar to Green Tara. Instead of Green, she is Black, which is the color of wrathful enlightened activity, her mouth slightly open and wrathful. Like Green Tara, she holds a lotus, but on the top of the lotus is a wisdom sword.
In the Surya Gupta Lineage, she is dancing and very wrathful, with four arms.
One arm holds a wisdom sword, another a Dharma Wheel, and the Lotus flower she holds in another hand has a vajra on top. The fourth hand is held out in a wrathful mudra. She stands in the heroic posture, and her red hair is upright.

I am a buddhist by choice while my family is hindu. I was under an ancient curse of treta yuga due to which I would have to beg for my entire life never earning always a burden.. In my childhood I never quite understood why everyone was being so mean to me but then when I grew up I realized this curse was brought upon me by my own karma and not due to anybody's fault. But that didn't cancel out the curse's affect. I was meditating today without chanting this mantra and yet I felt my mind released from this ancient curse. The black tara mantra was playing in the background. But Of course the momentum of the curse has to be allowed to run out... It will take some more time I guess... But highly effective. 😊❤❤

@@The_huntress111 I found myself in over my head after getting involved in a magic group. Health shifted dramatically and there were also spiritual interferences. Not long after I began to study Ma Tara, I learned about this particular mantra. I added it to my daily sadhana practice and noticed signs of change occurring. I also cut ties with remaining harmful friends.

Okay so this is crazy....well atleast for me. im a born buddhist and ny family is really religious but i never really believed in all this whole-heartedly. ATM im going through a low phase of my life , dealing with depression and other problems. So i started praying to green tara , and it did help me , uplifted me and filled me with positivity , well thats one thing .
So the crazy thing today i came across this video , and i started watching it like any other video nothing special rite? The first word of this prayer "OM" when i heard that ,i felt really really strange ,it was like a micro electric shock ran through my body(not painful and im not talking about goosebumps) idk how to explain that sensation this was the first, specially my head...felt it more than anyother area. felt like something was just "lifted/chased/pushed out" running out of words here. Lemme put it this way , the feeling you get when you go through an intense jumpscare in a horror movie , it almost felt like that but just for a second and everhthing calmed down. It can be anything , a curse ,an evil spirit , bad luck , negative energy/karma. but i actually felt it leaving my body in that split second.
