- The 21 Taras Mantra Dharanis in Sanskrit, as taught by Buddha in the Kangyur, became popularized as the 21 Homages or 21 Praises to Tara. When chanted in the original Sanskrit, the 21 Praises to Tara are 21 potent and powerful Dharanis (long-form mantras).

Although popularized as both a Tibetan and English 21 Praise chant, in its Sanskrit Holy syllable form, it is an original Dharani as taught by the Buddha.

"Praise to 21 Tara" in Tibetan I know by heart, and I have an idea what I am reciting. The fact is that the Buddha Dharma is still alive in Tibet, while it has perished in India, despite the Sanskrit language. It is ultimately about your dedication in which language ever.

Buddha Dharma is still alive in India albeit in a different form. Hinduism. Hinduism and Buddhism are 2 sides of the same coin. Agreed that whichever language that you recite, as long as you are dedicated, you are heard by the Divine. However, this channel's main purpose is to bring out the mantra in its original and POTENT form.
