    Lowering the THC blood level could enhance completion of actions (ideas)!

      @@teabagNBG It increases the level of alpha brainwaves, which are associated with creativity, so it is a legit thing, it’s just finding a strain that lets you focus instead of eating everything, having sex, and napping.

      @@Jonathan_Doe_ Agreed, it totally depends on the strain.

    This is great! Thanks man! I wish more people went into detail about their thought process and creative process relating to song structure. I've been really enjoying your videos because you focus on the areas where I really need a bit more systematic structure in the way I frame my process, mentally.

    thx for the video. totally unrelated but maybe someone can help me. im trying to send midi using the qlink knobs on my mpc. its to control a poly hector that doesnt have any knobs whatsoever. I know the hector is receiving midi since i can send clock, and pads but not the knbos. in my midi potenciometer i can see midi going out when i press pads etc but never the knobs. any idea? is it doable ?

  • @MartinYamMoller

    👍very useful.... I've tended to stick to one sequence and use track mutes to arrange a track live. But this way is more efficent and gets to finishing a track

      That’s my method too i feel like all the sequences make me think too much. I just run up 64 bars, 1 sequence, 6-7 tracks and record mutes and shit. Lately i’ve been throwing my tracks through looper to get some xyfx recorded for variation then it all goes into the 404 for more fun

    Great video! What do you do when you have a sample with a beat in it? How do you get the volume of the beat down. I would just like to use the piano and not the beat. Thanks

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I usually don't use samples with beats. But if I did I would just drop a beat over the samples and pray that it matched. you can try programs that partially "remove" drums like regroove. maybe this video is of interest to you th-cam.com/video/quBKGMQHaF8/w-d-xo.html

  • @alyeska4226

    Unfortunately, the only variations applicable are placements within the grid, as any changes to the fx or waveforms (filters and envelopes) will affect the entire shebang. But I do believe automations might be held in difference, yeah?

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      what shebang? have you tried duplicating programs or copying pads?

    • @alyeska4226
      @alyeska4226 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fantastic! Thank you, and so simple. I'll hafta do the same with my drums before i bounce em down. I'm so habituated to fliping sliders to mix an overload of chaos to track out analog gear sequenced. I might get spoiled with this digital digs.

    Do you notice that when you bounce things to samples that the samples are louder than your original work? I noticed that since the update. I'm not sure if it's just me but I do recognize a level difference.

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say I've noticed any difference. try comparing the wave files and see if the amplitude is different.

      I figured out what the issue was bro. I might do a video on it. Basically I had a brain fart (lol).🤣😭
      I have a workflow I usually use this method 60 percent of the time.
      I have premade projects set up for all different music styles. However, some of the templates have inserts on the master channel and it's own native channel. You have to bypass the inserts before bouncing. If not, it's like treating the sample twice with same effects due to the fact that the inserts would now be embedded into the sample.
      Sample (with inserts embedded)
      +
      Being placed back on the same. channel with those same inserts
      =
      Spike in Volume
      Sometimes when your working fast you forget the small things. My ears notice everything though. I have OCD. If one things is out of place my ears pick up on it quick. My OCD won't let me move on until I figure out the problem.🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

    Lovely video as usual!! Quick question how do you record your mpc audio for video? When I record into my interface for ableton there’s some latency?? And it never matches up to my camera video in premier pro :/

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just record the audio and adjust the timing later, either in Logic or final cut.

    • @LukeLine
      @LukeLine 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      MPC HEADZ great thanks! So is that into a portable external recorder or into a interface and DAW? You’ve inspired me to do some videos and share what I’ve made so far!! :)

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, my touch is connected to my interface. Logic is recording the audio from the touch plus the voice on a mic also connected to the interface. I have the camera up recording the visuals and then I just match everything in final cut.

    • @mpchead

      I sample all my stuff and make my own samples as well, sometimes I recorde live musicians. I share all my chops and samples on my patreon page, it’s just a dollar a month.
