Played this for my highschool band and one day we were doing sectionals, but the my section (the low brass) and a few saxophones came together and just ran the entire song. That was probably my favorite moment in my time in band, especially when we got to around 3:39. My only disappointment with this song was the fact my band didn’t have good enough French horns to shine during that part. Such a beautiful song, I wish I could play it again.
my high school’s wind ensemble played this for us, at our 8th grade concert and i knew the correct technique for a french horn rip and i remember the seniors complimented me after the concert (just an easy peasy piece that would be fun to hear)
this is one of my favourite concert band pieces, i played the timpani part in highschool and it was great fun!
1:38 😍😍 absolutely beautiful

Our high school band is playing this right now! The saxes and low brass sound awesome in sectionals together. Im a clarinet player btw
Omg it's you, Shadow! I was a part of that section. This song had one of my favorite grooves of all time
