    I stared at the pads and my eyes were tripping when I looked away. Love the pads! My Vapor 2X Pro have the 100 degree boot but after awhile it feels like I lost some degrees and it’s closer to 90.

    Can’t wait to see your side by side of this and the ultrasonic. I wear G4’s now, and have been looking hard at Bauer for my next set. I don’t have the ability to see them in person where I’m at, but I’m still confused on “hard” vs “soft” pads. I understand that a soft boot may help with ankle deflection and pad rotation, but I would think you would want to hardest thigh rise possible to prevent anything from squeaking through. Great video though.

    How’s the gear holding up. Hear there’s issues with the wear of the pads.

    @The GoalNet- have you skated in these yet? Can you speak to how these compare to your Eflex 5's? Specifically on the sliding? Thank you!

    I just got a new set of Bauer pads. First set of Bauers. How do you like the off-set toe bridge? I'm finding that if you put too much slack in the toe-ties, the pad doesn't rotate back straight, but if you take the slack out it only rotates back to short of square since the toe lines up with the inside corner of the pad. So then I loosen up the calf strap to help rotation, but then my knee has a tendency to fall off the side of the knee block since the pad isn't held close enough to the leg. Any Bauer strapping advice would be appreciated.

    Do you know if Bauer will do a 45 degree knee block that is the stabiliflex? Not on the website but wondering if it could be a custom order? Thanks for the videos.

    It looks like theres quite a gab in between the knee block and calf plate compared to the ultra sonic and 2x pros.

      Good eye. Only so much you squeeze into 15 mins. Yes, believe that was tweaked to accommodate the increased flex

    Not a fan of this graphic, it's a downgrade from the 2x. I also wish you could get a +2 thigh rise. Other than those 2 things, these look about perfect.

      Skipping head to my review, yes, that's one comment I plan to make. Really wish Bauer would add thigh rise sizes. +1 would go a long way on this model.

    They still attach the knee block band by a flimsy leather tab? Which is also attached at a 90 degree instead of angle? SO much torque and resistance there. More and more knee blocks fall apart there quickly. flawed design. Why not have it at a 45 and the strapped tucked away and not have velcro attachment part exposed too?

    • @thegoalnet5915
      @thegoalnet5915  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Huh? The knee block is fused to the core of the goalie pad. It's like a right angle shelf bracket inside the pad. There is nothing flimsy about this design? Check out Bauer's marketing video for Stabilislide and you will see

      @@thegoalnet5915 you mis-read my post. the "block band". The elasticized band that hangs on by a flimsy leather tab at a 90 degree angle to the block.

      @@No_Fear_33 I don't use a knee elastic with these, but the knee block is stable you don't need it. You are over thinking this if you think it's a design flaw. It works, it does not come un-velcro-ed
