I have the Pulsus and agree about swapping out the free mains cable with a higher quality. And as in the UK I've also upgraded the fuse. The Pulsus is amazing.

Hey Buddy, pretty good review. You do a great job reviewing audio gear.
What cartridge did you use to review the phono stage?

Ron quick question, that is the Pro-Ject 5.1se right? How is that platter suspending above the base like that?

There isn't a person on earth shopping for a $1500 phono stage who wouldn't understand what a "warmer midrange" means. At least I certainly hope not. I enjoy your videos though :)

Hey good review, lets get some Audio Research ie. ls17se, ls27, ref5se, stuff in for review and good job with the sound samples, keep that going.

    Hello,
I like your videos a lot many thanks to you it saves a lot of time and narrow downs the search.I bought recently Project 12 Xtension 12 evolution Turn Table with Dynavector 17D3,I would like to go with a separate Phono stage for it.I saw your review of Avid Pulses it is bit expensive for me still considering it.
I am thinking of Tube Phono stage because tube will be warm and more analogue if I am not wrong. If you can suggest me some Phonos both Tube and solid state it will be great
    Thnx Bro

So, what you are really saying is that the Avid at $1700 is better than the JC-3 at $3000?

Hey Ron, good review and I appreciated the comparison with the JC3. Since the JC3 is not really and option on my end of the world, price wise and I am a big fan of comparing apples to apples when it comes to price point, let me ask you this:
How does the Parasound JC3+ stack against the AVID Pellere Phono Stage?
Now that would be a lot of help for someone living in Europe or any other place where importing US made electronics is a bit of an inconvenience or impossible, VS Europe made products.
    Cheers.

+Tudor Rapeanu Hey Tudor, I have never heard the Pellere.

I was wondering if you can get one for a review as to have something at par with the Parasound JC3+. Witch should also be an interesting review since the improvements over the JC3 are many and some would say that a few are quite substantial.

Any plans to review the baby Pellar? Avid says you get 90% there

Ok, right off the bat, why would a high end power cord make ANY difference when the rest of the wiring in your house is just stock, and you can't control the quality of the components and wiring that brings the power to your house. I'm sick and tired of audiofool dogma. But if you're getting free stuff, more power to ya I guess.

I have no idea why it does, but it does. I have made my own cables and bought cables and compared them to the stock kettle leads that coem with the equipment, they do sound different. Crazy but I can hear it and ai am a cable sceptic.
