Challenge: Only Premade rooms, you have to go in order that they appear in in the menu and you cant undo ^^
i tried this. it's impossible to make it look good. which means i would also like to watch the chaos that would ensue lmao
i spaced out at some point and kayla went from trying to make everything match and thinking it was too much to completely unhinged, and i love every second of it
Conspiracy theory: Decor to the Max includes assets made for the Paranormal Stuff Pack that were not selected either because they were not finished yet or to cut down on item numbers.
I legit think this is how all build kits come about. Country kitchen anybody?

@@limiv5272 Used to be a specific color that was cheap and protect the house well back in the day. So yeah, old red cottages are all over sweden.

In Scandinavia the traditional barn paint is Falu red, but while the binders may differ on your side of the pond I’m willing to bet it was a linseed oil base using iron oxide as the main pigment over there too. Contrary to popular belief, however, it is the composition of the paint that is traditional, and not the specific shade, as the iron oxide can be modified by burning it, so shades ranging from bright red to almost black are possible.

After watching this I was inspired to do something similar. My sim's budget was 16500 (after buying the lot, this is what remained). I would've used the same pack and kit, if I owned them. So instead I spun a wheel to decide what I would build with... I got backyard stuff and blooming rooms. They do go well together! Made a tier2 tiny home out of it. 😁🌼

Sometimes I get bored of the Sims and get into these ruts where I can’t find inspiration to play. But then I watch a lilsimsie video, I’m suddenly inspired. The joy and goofiness she brings to the game always revitalizes me to play again! Who can relate?
I love how Simsie said "This is so not my style omg," because this is exactly something I would build. Even the columns and spandrels inside.

why do i love the idea of a guy named some shit like morty graves who looks like he stepped out of a victorian gothic novel but his house looks like a gaudy, kitschy crafts shop and he works at like, a childrens petting zoo or something

EXACTLY! We used to get the WORST builds shipped with new worlds from the Sims team and game-changers would renovate them for us, now those same game-changers are asked to build them for new pack release! Which adds to the irony because the original The Sims was intended as an architectural design tool to measure how comfortable and beautiful the builds were 🥴
I’m glad the effect of the bad build was incredible creators like Kayla though :)

Too be fair the sims team is trying their best, having game changers do the builds was a really good idea cause it allowed more creative people to do builds, they took a look at a problem and came up with a solution! There’s a lot wrong with the sims but the sims team isn’t necessarily at fault for all of it. Your right, but I just wanted to give my two cents cause I see a lot of people hating on the sim gurus, which does almost nothing except hurt the gurus feeling ya know

I watch you every day simsie and i have for at least a year but I'd love to see you branch out a little. I feel your content is always the same just with different titles. I'd love to see your build requirements be 'put 30+' items in each room or build mansions made from only art deco, modern, etc etc.
Challenge: you are only allowed to debug items to furnish a room

I think adding the knitting pack to this challenge could add even more colorful clutter and useful items, like a rocking chair for the front porch and cheaper wall decor!
I like to believe that the sims team is just compiling these build challenges to make some weird mismatched world 😂

idea: build a house but you can't re-use a furniture item. for example you place a couch in the living room. you can't use that couch again.
does that mean every kitchen counter has to be different?🫠

maybe to make it a bit more difficult if you decide to place a bed then remove it you can't get it back if you decide to change your mind

I’d make an exception for _connected_ items. A stove in the middle does make it no longer connected. Do chairs slotted to the same table count as connected?

I love this house! It’s such a deviation from what Kayla usually builds-and I mean, so love everything she builds, I think it’s all very cute and _excellent_ craft. But I think Kayla tends towards a minimalistic style a lot-sorta pale, washed out shades; simple designs; fairly uniform. Tbh minimalism, although a totally valid style, is not totally my cup of tea, so it’s really cool to see how she matches bright colors and elaborate patterns like this! I love how the house ended up, too! So cute!

The red swatch on the house looks so much like a Swedish cottage/house! It's really a classic Swedish look with the red panels and white trims❤
I LOVED this!! It turned out so well with the inside and the lighter walls, but seeing the red really made me want to see your take on the "faluröd stuga" or "falu red house/cottage" (in english), its an old Swedish style of house that is all red with white columns and accents. It's so cute!!! ❤❤❤

Just want to tell you that I love watching you and James Turner's videos on everything SIMS. I have some health problems and the SIMS are often the best escape for me. You guys keep reminding me of how much fun the SIMS really are.
I adore the SIMS 4, but to be honest, SIMS 2 is still my favourite because I can create a wide assortment of entire communities and am not limited to only a few skimpy lots in the SIMS 4. in each world. I also miss having cars and a selection of bikes, etc. I am pretty sure I am not alone in this. If you have a way of passing this kind of feedback along to the SIMS team, I'd appreciate it. Anyways, thank-you for what you do and keep up the great work.

They are called shotgun houses!! They are very popular where I live, and were popularized in Louisville!! (pronounced Lou-a-vull)
The inside is basically straightforward: Living room, bedroom, small hallway with bathroom on the side, kitchen on the back, and a small backyard. Hence the name 'Shotgun.'

BUILD CHALLENGE IDEA : You spin a wheel for a number , that number is how many items you can use in a room . HOWEVER you also randomise a pack as well. Each room is a different pack but each room can only use the amount of items the number generates! Like To get her to see xx Who else is buying this idea ?this means you cannot use base game !! And a chance to add clutter and no limit on the budget

I agree with Pietro! You could do any challenge like that in your sleep! I think you should create a Gilded Age mansion with all of the glitz and glamour but just a tad dated. Great build! Can't wait to download it for my Sim!
