I work in Autoglass. My question for you is how many jobs a day does a single tech do for you. Mobile for me im required to do 7-8 and inshop (When I was an inshop tech) it was 10 a day with recals. Im falling apart here trying to finish all my jobs. Been doing this for years. But with drive time and recals, i find myself rushing every single job. Like rushing to complete it in under 45 minuts and im still pulling 11-12 hours a day. I want to focus on quality but i dont know how with that many jobs a day. Maybe i just suck. But i have been doing this for 5 years and im about burned to the ground at this point.

Everyone is required to do different things some guys are good for 4 a day some are good for 10 a day. Be paid accordingly. Get setting tools that takes helps with beating up on the body. Do what you physically can why sacrifice quality for quantity.

On your glass crates how do you decide if you open it from the side or the front? Ive never seen it open from the side that looks slick

space is limited so we turn them sideways stack them on top an pull them right out. Because the manufacturer packs them good it makes it easier.

In Africa we put silicon on the body of the car. I have seen you place the silicon on the windscreen. Whats the difference... or advantages of either ways...
